    Forecast of surface layer meteorological parameters at Cerro Paranal with a mesoscale atmospherical model

    This article aims at proving the feasibility of the forecast of all the most relevant classical atmospherical parameters for astronomical applications (wind speed and direction, temperature) above the ESO ground-base site of Cerro Paranal with a mesoscale atmospherical model called Meso-Nh. In a precedent paper we have preliminarily treated the model performances obtained in reconstructing some key atmospherical parameters in the surface layer 0-30~m studying the bias and the RMSE on a statistical sample of 20 nights. Results were very encouraging and it appeared therefore mandatory to confirm such a good result on a much richer statistical sample. In this paper, the study was extended to a total sample of 129 nights between 2007 and 2011 distributed in different parts of the solar year. This large sample made our analysis more robust and definitive in terms of the model performances and permitted us to confirm the excellent performances of the model. Besides, we present an independent analysis of the model performances using the method of the contingency tables. Such a method permitted us to provide complementary key informations with respect to the bias and the RMSE particularly useful for an operational implementation of a forecast system.Comment: 20 pages, 8 figures, 18 tables, published in MNRA

    Comparing Firm Performance Using Transitive Productivity Index Numbers in a Meta-frontier Framework

    The meta-frontier framework has been used extensively for evaluating the technical efficiency of heterogeneous production units that can be classified into different groups. This paper shows how the framework can also be used to make total factor productivity (TFP) comparisons within and across groups. The paper develops a new measure of the distance between a group frontier and the meta-frontier (the so-called ‘technology gap’). It then shows how a spatially- and temporally-transitive TFP index can be decomposed into measures of global technical change (measuring movements in the metafrontier), local technical change (measuring movements in the group frontiers) and efficiency change (measuring movements towards or around the group frontiers). To illustrate the methodology, the paper examines the productive performance of road authorities responsible for maintaining interstate highways in the US state of Virginia.

Attraverso una prima evoluzione storica si approda alla conoscenza ed all'introduzione, in particolari momenti di crisi, di importanti istituti giuridici. L'importanza è ovviamente da rilevarsi nella struttura stessa di quello che concepiamo come sovraindebitamento. E' quindi necessaria la rivisitazione di situazioni come l'insolvenza del debitore commerciale e del debitore civile così da rendere più facile il momento di comprensione e di approdo alla nostra legge. La particolarità e la differenziazione di trattamento sono alla base di una innovazione delle stesse figure di creditore e debitore. Si passerà poi all'analisi della presente legge, allo studio dei singoli istituti e delle diverse procedure previste dal legislatore. Avremo poi modo di effettuare un excursus delle diverse procedure da sovraindebitamento previste in altri ordinamenti. Passeremo infine ad analizzare le prime, e non molte, applicazioni nazionali giungendo ai pro ed ai contro della nostra legge e ad una valutazione delle singolarità della stessa

    Tunarungu merupakan individu yang mengalami kehilangan pendengaran sehingga berdampak pada kemampuan berbahasa sebagai bentuk realitas berkomunikasi. Autis merupakan gangguan perkembangan yang meliputi aspek interaksi, komunikasi, dan perilaku. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, peneliti menemukan fenomena seorang penyandang tunarungu berprofesi sebagai guru di sekolah yang muridnya didominasi oleh penyandang autis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui pola komunikasi yang dikembangkan oleh guru penyandang tunarungu terhadap siswa penyandang autis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pola komunikasi yang dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa ujaran disertai dengan bahasa tubuh. Kendala yang dialami adalah guru seringkali mengalami kesalah pahaman dengan siswa dan tak jarang membuat siswa menjadi tantrum. Upaya yang dilakukan guru mencoba mendekati siswa dan memhami apa yang diinginkan siswa. Selain itu, guru juga mendapat bantuan dari guru lain untuk menjelaskan kembali maksud dari siswa atau sebaliknya. Prestasi yang dicapai oleh siswa hingga saat ini yaitu mahir dalam membuat lukisan abstrak. The study entitled Teacher Communication Pattern Toward Students with Deaf Students with Autism in Art Education (A Case Study on Middle Class SLB Autism Pelita Hafiz Bandung). Deaf is an individual who has a hearing loss that affects the ability to communicate as a form of reality. Autism is a developmental disorder that includes aspects of interaction, communication, and behavior. In this regard, the researcher found a deaf phenomenon works as a teacher at the school which is dominated by students with autism. The purpose of this study is to determine the patterns of communication developed by deaf teacher of students with autism. The method used is descriptive method with qualitative approach. Communication patterns are developed using the language of the oral is accompanied by body language. The problem faced is the teacher often have misunderstandings with students and often makes students into tantrums. Teacher’s efforts are made to try to approach the students and to understand what the students want. In addition, teacher also got help from another teacher to retell the purpose of the student, or viceversa. Today, achievements of students are adept at making abstract paintings

    Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh pentingnya kemampuan tolakan pada cabang olahraga atletik khususnya nomor lompat jauh.Yang ditentukan oleh jarak serta karakteristiknya memerlukan gerakan eksplosif. Masalah penelitian adalah apakah latihan plyometrics memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap power tungkai dan hasil lompat jauh gaya jongkok.Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh latihan plyometrics tehadap peningkatan power tungkai dan hasil lompat jauh gaya jongkok. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen. Populasi dan sampel penelitian adalah atlet lompat jauh Pangkal-Pinang yang berjumlah 6 orang. Instrumen penelitian adalah tes vertical jumps dan tes lompat jauh gaya jongkok. Dari hasil pengolahan dan analisis data diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa latihan plyometrics memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan power tungkai dan sekaligus berpengaruh terhadap hasil lompat jauh gaya jongkok. Hal ini menggambarkan bahwa latihan plyometrics dapat meningkatkan terhadap peningkatan power tungkai dan hasil lompat jauh gaya jongkok.----------This research is based on the importance of take off-skill in the long jump number of athletic as one of sport branches. The take off-skill is depended by distant and its characteristics that need explosive movements. The problem of this research is “Does the plyometrics exercise influence the power enhancement to the leg and the result of squat style of long jump significantly?” Experimental method is used in this research. Population and sample of this research is six members of Pangkal-Pinang long jump athletes. The instrument of this research are vertical jump test and squat style long jump test. As the result of this research, researcher found that plyometrics exercise influenced the power enhancement of the leg and squat style of long jump. The author provides suggestions for further research on particular aspects of the physical condition of the power and plyometrics,appropriate that researchers have tried to know the influence to leg power enhancement and the result of long jump squat style
