    Ruže su cvjetne vrste koje tijekom proljeća i ljeta održavaju Å”arenilo parkova i okućnica. Naziv roda Rosa potječe od grčke riječi rhoodon, Å”to znači ruža. Rod Rosa, ruža, pripada porodici Rosaceae, a postoje tisuće kultivara uzgojenih ruža koji se razlikuju s obzirom na način rasta i veličinu, boju i oblik cvjetova. Za uzgoj ruÅ£e potrebni su otvoreni prostori koji su zaÅ”tićeni od vjetra. Ne podnosi visoke temperature, dok joj odgovaraju umjerene temperature od 18-22Ā°C. Također, za uzgoj ruže bitno je tlo u koje se ruža sadi. Ruže se osim u svježem stanju, koriste i na druge razne načine, kao potpouri, za proizvodnju eteričnog ulja ruže i ružine vodice. Njezine upotrebne vrijednost su velike, a koriste se za uređivanje parkova, aranžiranje buketa u različitim prilikama, medicinske i kozmetičke svrhe, ali i u kulinarstvu. Kod navedenih načina vrlo su važni postupci koji se provode, ali i načini kako se postupa s cvjetovima. U ovome radu koriÅ”tena su četiri kultivara ruža i to: crvene, bijele, ružičaste i ljubičaste boje cvjetova. Latice ruža su suÅ”ene postupkom dehidracije na tri različite temperature (40 Ā°C, 50 Ā°C i 60 Ā°C) te je utvrđen kemijski sastav prije i nakon konvekcijskog suÅ”enja dehidriranjem.Roses are flower species that during the spring and summer keep the color of parks and gardens. The genus name Rosa originates from the Greek word rhoodon, meaning rose. Rod Rosa, a rose, belongs to the Rosaceae family, and there are thousands of cultivars of cultivated roses that differ in terms of growth and size, color and shape of flowers. For growing roses, open spaces that are protected from the wind are needed. They do not withstand high temperatures, with moderate temperatures of 18-22 Ā°C. Also, for growing roses, it is an important ground for roses to be sown. In addition to freshness, roses are also used in other ways, such as pouring, for the production of essential rose oil and rose petals. Its usefulness is great, used for park editing, bouquet arrangement for various occasions, for medical and cosmetic purposes, but also for culinary purposes. In the aforementioned ways, the procedures being carried out, as well as the way we handle flowers, are very important. In this paper four different cultivars of red, white, pink and violet flower colors were used. The rose petals were dried by dehydration process at three different temperatures (40 Ā°C, 50 Ā°C and 60 Ā°C) and chemical composition were determined before and after convection drying by dehydration
