A novel framework for the use of workflow system in the integration of supply chain tiers
The global competition has imposed challenges to supply chain integration, mainly, during the process of obtain information to make demand management decisions. This paper proposes an integrated framework for data collection, analysis and results dissemination in the supply chain management (SCM), contributing to research and alternatives for \u201cThe Bullwhip Effect\u201d issue. In this sense, it is necessary to discuss the integration of supply chain management, Enterprise Resources Planning (ERP) functionality and others systems, to enlarge this scope to the total supply chain players. The ERP web-based tool and Workflow Systems (WS) can contribute to solve issues related to supply chain management. Starting from a detailed analysis of the research background regarding current SCM definitions and integration problems, Information Technology and Communication (ITC) development and WS in order to map and ensure flow fluency; the paper proposes a model to increase the overall integrations and an application in a case study for supporting the decisions that are aligned with the company\u2019s strategic objectives. Efficient Enumeration of Induced Subtrees in a K-Degenerate Graph
In this paper, we address the problem of enumerating all induced subtrees in
an input k-degenerate graph, where an induced subtree is an acyclic and
connected induced subgraph. A graph G = (V, E) is a k-degenerate graph if for
any its induced subgraph has a vertex whose degree is less than or equal to k,
and many real-world graphs have small degeneracies, or very close to small
degeneracies. Although, the studies are on subgraphs enumeration, such as
trees, paths, and matchings, but the problem addresses the subgraph
enumeration, such as enumeration of subgraphs that are trees. Their induced
subgraph versions have not been studied well. One of few example is for
chordless paths and cycles. Our motivation is to reduce the time complexity
close to O(1) for each solution. This type of optimal algorithms are proposed
many subgraph classes such as trees, and spanning trees. Induced subtrees are
fundamental object thus it should be studied deeply and there possibly exist
some efficient algorithms. Our algorithm utilizes nice properties of
k-degeneracy to state an effective amortized analysis. As a result, the time
complexity is reduced to O(k) time per induced subtree. The problem is solved
in constant time for each in planar graphs, as a corollary
Analysis of a class of boundary value problems depending on left and right Caputo fractional derivatives
In this work we study boundary value problems associated to a nonlinear fractional ordinary differential equation involving left and right Caputo derivatives. We discuss the regularity of the solutions of such problems and, in particular, give precise necessary conditions so that the solutions are C1([0, 1]). Taking into account our analytical results, we address the numerical solution of those problems by the augmented-RBF method. Dispersion and damping of multi-quantum well polaritons from resonant Brillouin scattering by folded acoustic modes
We report on confined exciton resonances of acoustic and folded acoustic
phonon light scattering in a GaAs/AlAs multi-quantum-well. Significant
variations of the line shifts and widths are observed across the resonance and
quantitatively reproduced in terms of the polariton dispersion. This high
resolution Brillouin study brings new unexpectedly detailed informations on the
polariton dynamics in confined systems
