    OpenBIM-Tango integrated virtual showroom for offsite manufactured production of self-build housing

    As a result of progressive use of BIM in the AEC sector, the amount of diverse project information is increasing rapidly, thus necessitating interoperability of tools, compatibility of data, effective collaboration and sophisticated data management. Media-rich VR and AR environments have been proven to help users better understand design solutions, however, they have not been quite advanced in supporting interoperability and collaboration. Relying on capabilities of openBIM and IFC schema, this study posits that this shortcoming of VR and AR environment could be addressed by use of BIM server concept allowing for concurrent multiuser and low-latency communication between applications. Successful implementation of this concept can ultimately mitigate the need for advanced technical skills for participation in design processes and facilitate the generation of more useful design solutions by early involvement of stakeholders and end-users in decision making. This paper exemplifies a method for integration of BIM data into immersive VR and AR environments, in order to streamline the design process and provide a pared-down agnostic openBIM system with low latency and synchronised concurrent user accessibility that gives the “right information to the right people at the right time”. These concepts have been further demonstrated through development of a prototype for openBIM-Tango integrated virtual showroom for offsite manufactured production of self-build housing. The prototype directly includes BIM models and data from IFC format and interactively presents them to users on both VR immersive and AR environments, including Google Tango enabled devices. This paper contributes by offering innovative and practical solutions for integration of openBIM and VR/AR interfaces, which can address interoperability issues of the AEC industry

    Quality and quantity of bone at intraoral graft donor sites in type 2 diabetic patients versus healthy controls: A cone-beam computed tomography study

    Objectives: This study aimed to compare the quality and quantity of bone at intraoral autogenous graft donor sites in type II diabetes mellitus (DM) patients versus healthy controls using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Materials and methods: This case-control study was conducted on CBCT scans of 50 DM patients and 50 healthy controls between 20-70 years. Maximum height, width, length, and volume of harvestable bone at the symphysis, ramus, palate, and tuberosity were measured bilaterally. The Hounsfield unit (HU) was also calculated to assess bone quality. The two groups were compared regarding the quality and quantity of harvestable bone using an independent t-test. The effect of confounders was analyzed by the regression model (alpha = 0.05). Results: DM patients had significantly lower harvestable bone volume at the symphysis, ramus, and tuberosity than healthy controls (p < 0.001) but this difference was not significant at the palate (p = 0.957). Also, bone quality was significantly lower at the symphysis, ramus, palate, and tuberosity in DM patients (p < 0.001). Conclusion: Diabetic patients had significantly lower bone quality and quantity at intraoral graft donor sites than healthy controls. Mandibular symphysis had higher bone volume and density than ramus, palate, and tuberosity for graft harvesting in diabetic patients

    Aim: The purpose of this study explains the principles of justice education from the perspective of the Nahjulbalagha. Methods: In this study which is fundamental and qualitative research, to determine the reasons of justice-oriented education, a thematic analysis method was used. To gather and identify themes associated with the principles of educational justice, first theoretical principles and Islamic scholars views have been examined, then by referring and studying Nahjulbalagha, related content about extraction, coding, and frequency has been counted. Result: The results of the thematic analysis and comparative analysis show that the basic principle of justice as a major theme is provided of three integrating themes and 11 key themes. The relation of these themes is presented as a template in the content network. Conclusions: Each justice Foundations educational, religious foundations, epistemic and social foundations to identify the key themes.     Surgical Repair of Giant Type IV Hiatal Hernia

    In this case report, we described a 74-year-old female patient with major complaint of respiratory problemsdyspnea after meal. Chest X-ray of the patient revealed a  gianttype IV hiatal hernia. Preoperative evaluations of the patient included esophagoscopy, esophageal manometry, barium swallow, and CT-scan. Repair of the hernia was performed using a dual mesh on the diaphragm and partial anterior fundoplication (Dor fundoplication). After a six-month follow-up, the overall condition of the patient  is satisfactory,  exceptmild intermittent dysphagia due to esophageal dysmotility
