REGIONAL EXPANSION, IDENTITY CRISIS AND THE PARADOX OF HUMAN RIGHTS ENFORCEMENT IN THE EUROPEAN UNION

The EU is very concerned with the implementation of Human Rights, so it has become the basic value and the main terms in its membership1. The EU's desire toexpand the territorial prompts efforts to discipline the implementation of Human Rights is intensified in order to increase the number of members. However, individual identity, how one defines itself as a nation, and freedom of expression are also major points in Human Rights. This is clearly a major obstacle that unknowingly appears in the territorial expansion efforts being undertaken by the European Union. The most obvious and most recent example is the occurrence of Brexit through the EU referendum in June 2016 which resulted in the United Kingdom having to quit the EU membership. This is a major blow to the EU, because in the course of territorial expansion, the EU would have to lose one of its larger member states. This paper discusses the paradox of the virtue of Human Rights as a value that is upheld within the EU and the freedom of individuals and nations in defining themselves, as well as an identity crisis which is beginning to undermine the comfort of life in society

PERANCANGAN JARINGAN FIBER TO THE BUILDING (FTTB) BERBASIS GPON DI GEDUNG A APARTEMENT NEWTON

ABSTRAK Perkembangan Teknologi sangatlah canggih dan beragam dikarenakan mengikuti kebutuhan untuk infromasi seperti data,suara, atau juga video. Kebutuhan tersebut dapat terealisasikan dengan adanya jaringan komunikasi yang cepat dan terjamin intensitas kecepetannya tersebut. Pada masa kini di setiap tempat tentunya di butuhkan akses komunikasi yang cepat salah satu contohnya adalah di Apartement Newton Residence, dengan banyaknya pengguna dan tingkat kebutuhan tinggi bagi setiap pengguna maka perancangan jaringan fiber optik di Apartement Newton Residence dirasa strategis dan tepat agar kebutuhan pengguna dan terealisasi sebagaimana mestinya, Apartement Newton Residence Gedung A terletak di kabupaten Bandung merupakan lokasi Proyek Akhir ini. Metode yang digunakan pada peracangan yaitu survey lokasi, perancangan, serta penelitian hasil dengan analisis ( power link budget, rise time budget dan bit eror rate). Analisis ini selain perhitungan manual digunakan juga aplikasi berupa simulasi Optisytem, kemudian yg hasil didapat dibandingkan. Hasil perancangan downstream link power budget dibagi menjadi 3 bagian yaitu dengan berdasarkan jarak terdekat, menengah dan terjauh. hasil jarak terdekat 20,53 dB, hasil jarak menengah 20,6 dB dan hasil jarak terjauh 21,06 dB sedangkan pada upstream hasil jarak terdekat -4,78 dBm, hasil jarak menengah -4,85 dBm dan hasil jarak terjauh -5,86 dBm. Nilai ini masih berada dibawah sensitivitas penerima sebesar -28 dBm, sehingga dianggap layak. Analisa rise time budget didapatkan waktu batasan adalah sebesear 0,2814 ns untuk pengkodean RZ dan 0,5627 ns untuk pengkodean NRZ. Dari hasil perhitungan didapatkan nilai T_system adalah sebesar 0,4251 ns untuk upstream maupun downstream. Hasil rise time budget yang didapatkan bernilai baik karena T_system yang lebih kecil dari batasan waktu untuk tiap pengkodean. Untuk parameter performansi system yaitu BER yang dihasilkan dari simulasi di Optisystem, didapatkan nilai BER untuk upstream mendekati nol (0) dan nilai BER untuk downstream 3.62955 x 10-12 . kedua nilai tersebut memenuhi nilai minimum BER yang ditentukan untuk optik, yaitu 10-9 Kata Kunci: power link budget,rise time budget, BE

SARTRE’S LA MAUVAISE FOI, THE NEGATION OF DE BEAUVOI’S MALAFIDE AND THE URBAN PHENOMENON IN THE MOVIE JULES ET JIM (1962) BY FRANCOIS TRUFFAUT

The intersubjectivity war between male and female individuals has long been a central issue in the realm of existentialism. Jean Paul Sartre with the idea of his La mauvaise foi demands every individual to be responsible in accepting the consequences for every decision that has been taken by man. Meanwhile, Simone De Beauvoir seeks to perfect Sartre's idea of existentialism by focusing the object of his idea on the freedom of women as human beings. On that basis, Beauvoir introduced the idea of malafide which is an inferior form of man. More specifically, Beauvoir assumes that there are many factors that cause woman to become a malafide. In the Jules et Jim (1962) film by François Truffaut, Catherine's character is presented as a form of denial of the malafide human- more specifically, the human in this context is female. This article describes the negation of Catherine's character as a malafide female, while at the same time showing the form of human existentialism as a whole. CODE MIXING AS A FORM OF INDONESIAN IDENTITY BASED ON THE MOTTO OF BHINNEKA TUNGGAL IKA

In 2018, the Language Comission of the Ministry of Education and Culture (Kemendikbud) of the Republic of Indonesia has made verification towards all the languages that exists in Indonesia. The verification conducted from 1991 to 2017 resulted in 652 languages to be found. That number still does not include the dialects and their sub-divisions of the 652 languages. Meanwhile, UNESCO recorded 143 languages based on their vitality status. Identity can be interpreted as similarity or unity with others in a certain area or other things (Rummens, 1993: 157-159). "The identity possessed by an individual can be in the form of personal identity and social identity" (Santoso, 2006: 44-45). Using statistical data on language issued by the Indonesian Central Bureau of Statistics as a corpus and literature study by tracing the title of mainstream online media coverage related to the use of code mixing, identity theory, and the concept of intercultural communication, this paper discusses the relationship between the use of code mixing in the Indonesian people's everyday life with the nation‟s identity as a country that is bhineka (mentioned as its official national motto) or diversed. Instead of being not nationalist, the practice of code mixing by the Indonesian people is actually a manifestation of the identity of the Indonesian people as a diverse society. The code mix that occurs in the daily life of the community is proof that Indonesian people can understand each other and communicate well in a very complex diversity

Analisis Dan Usulan Perencanaan Tata Letak Pabrik Bagian Produksi Menggunakan Metode Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) Di PT.ABC

Good factory layout planning is one of the factors that can increase company productivity. Layout is a facility design, layout analysis, concept formation, as well as the embodiment of the system for making goods or services. Applying a good layout in a company can cut the time needed in a production process and also reduce the energy that must be expended by workers. This research was conducted at PT. ABC is part of the Drivetrain Unit Department located in the Bukit Indah City Industrial Area, Purwakarta, West Java. The object to be observed is the layout of the factory for the production of single part trunnion which is devoted to the seat trunnion sub-component. The research method used is quantitative method. Data processing used to solve problems at PT. ABC uses the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) Method approach. The goal is to be able to optimize the existing layout and increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the productivity of the company's performance. The conclusion is that the current condition of the factory layout is quite effective because it can produce one trunnion product faster than the predetermined takt time. However, there are still some improvements in the layout of the factory and the production process. Researchers try to provide suggestions for the layout of the new factory and its production process. The result is that the suggested layout has a time that is 94 seconds faster than before. WEST GERMANY AND EAST GERMANY IN ACCORDANCE TO THE INTERPRETATION OF THE SIGNS IN THE SONG LYRICS OF OVER DE MUUR (1984)

This study discusses the lyrics of the song Over De Muur by Klein Orkest which was released in 1984. The purpose of this study is to discuss the situation of West Germany and East Germany in 1984 through the interpretation of the meaning of the signs contained in the Over De Muur song lyrics. The theory used in this research is the theory of myth by Roland Barthes. First, a selection of words, phrases or sentences is needed as a sign that reflected the state of West Germany and East Germany at that time. Then the analysis continued using the two steps semiosis process; The first is a primary analysis consisting of an analysis of denotative meanings and then in the secondary analysis consists of connotative meanings analysis to identify the myths that contained in the lyrics of Over De Muur . The results show that the song Over De Muur portrays that West Germany and East Germany have different ideologies, and although they have different ideologies, people in the two countries share a common goals that they both want to unite and are shown through the semantic aspects of the song's lyrics

Banyak lembaga investasi yang bermunculan yang menawarkan berbagai jenis investasi yang bisa dilakukan oleh masyarakat umum. Umumnya lembaga investasi yang resmi (legal) sudah terdaftar dan di dalam pengawasan otoritas jasa keuangan (OJK). Namun pada kenyataannya masih banyak perusahaan yang belum jelas aspek legalitasnya dan diluar pengawasan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan. Seperti salah satu contoh kasus PT. Cakrabuana Sukses Indonesia di Cirebon yang melakukan Kegiatan investasi ilegal atau bodong. Kegiatan investasi ilegal berjenis koperasi yaitu adanya sejumlah penyalahgunaan izin koperasi dengan cara menghimpun dana dari masyarakat. Pemerintah mengeluarkan regulasi berupa Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 Tentang Perlindungan Konsumen dan Peraturan Otoritas Jasa Keuangan Nomor: 1/POJK.07/2013 Tentang Perlindungan Konsumen Sektor Jasa Keuangan, kedua hal terkait ini berkontribusi dan juga menjadi landasan dalam memberikan perlindungan terhadap konsumen dan masyarakat yang ingin berinvestasi maupun yang sudah berinvestasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengatahui Perlindungan Hukum Bagi Masyarakat Terhadap Investasi Ilegal Dalam Prespektif Undang-Undang Republik Indonesia Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 Tentang Perlindungan Konsumen, dengan objek penelitiannya yaitu Otoritas Jasa Keuangan Cirebon. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif, data yang dikumpulkan dengan cara interview (wawancara), observasi, dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif analisis. Adapun hasil dari penelitian ini, otoritas jasa keuangan berperan dalam memberikan pencegahan terhadap investasi ilegal yang berkembang dimasyarakat, dalam pelaksanaanya otoritas jasa keuangan melakukan upaya pencegahan dan penanganan. Pencegahan yang dilakukan otoritas jasa keuangan yaitu dengan melakukan sosialisasi dengan masyarakat dan juga menyebarkan informasi terkait dengan investasi ilegal. Dalam penanganan yang dilakukan otoritas jasa keuangan yaitu dengan melakukan penindakan yang bekerjasama dengan Lembaga terkait. Penerapan peran dan tugas Otoritas Jasa Keuangan Cirebon dalam melindungi konsumen investasi sudah sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 8 Tahun 1999 tentang Perlindungan Konsumen pasal 3 dan pasal 4 yang menjelaskan tentang tujuan perlindungan konsumen dan hak konsumen. Gambaran Kualitas Hidup Pasien Diabetes Melitus Menggunakan Instrumen DQLCTQ Studi Kasus : Puskesmas X Kota Pontianak

Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a metabolic disease characterized by chronic hyperglycemia and abnormalities in carbohydrate, fat and protein metabolism resulting from defects in insulin secretion, insulin action or both. In Indonesia, the prevalence of DM is around 4.8%, for the Pontianak City area, DM is included in the top 10 diseases that dominate throughout 2019, which ranges from 12,913 cases. The purpose of this study was to describe the quality of life and characteristics of DM patients using the DQLCTQ. This research is a prospective study, using the Diabetes Quality of Life Clinical Trial Questionnaire (DQLCTQ) questionnaire which consists of several questions that will be filled in by patients suffering from DM at the X Health Center, Pontianak City. The results showed that the quality of life of DM patients at X Health Center was still low, namely 50.98% of patients. This result is due to various factors such as gender, age, education, marital status and occupation. The conclusion from this study is that some DM sufferers at the X Health Center, Pontianak City are still lacking in implementing a healthy lifestyle so that the value of their quality of life is still low
