    A review of studies in the field of knowledge and safe behaviors of workers in Iran

    Background and objective: One of the ways to prevent and control occupational accidents and educate people informing them of the risks and how to work safely. The aim of this study was to study the effectiveness of educational interventions to promote safe behavior and knowledge workers is studied. Methods: A systematic search of PubMed SID database and to obtain titles and abstracts containing data related to worker safety behaviors by examining the full text of 22 articles were selected and the results of which were analyzed Results: The group of workers includes training class. The impact of educational interventions: improving the safety of workers and the development of a safety culture in the workplace can be named. Most of the training programs designed for group discussion and the principles of adult learning. Conclusion: summary and analysis of the literature showed the need to promote safe behavior of workers.     Virtual reality training and pain neuroscience plus motor control on pain, disability, health, and quality of life of women with non-specific chronic back pain

    Background: Non-specifi c chronic low back pain is defi ned as a complex disorder involving structural, biomechanical, cognitive, psychological, social, and lifestyle factors. This randomized clinical trial study compared the effects of 8-week Virtual Reality Training (VRT) and pain neuroscience plus motor control training (PNE/MCT) on pain, disability, health, and quality of life of women with non-specifi c chronic back pain. Methodology: This research is a single-center parallel RCT. Thirty-six participants participated in this study. They were divided into two groups: VRT (G1) and PNE/ MCT (G2), both with 18 women. The training was performed for eight weeks for 45 minutes – 60 minutes. The VRT was applied by Oculus Quest 2. Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), disability (Oswestry Disability Index), general health (GHQ-28), and quality of life (QOL- WHO) were assessed before and after eight training weeks using a withinbetween group analysis (ANOVA 2×2). Results: Before training, no difference was observed between the groups (p > 0.05). After the intervention, both groups improved VAS, disability, GHQ, and QOL (all p < 0.001). In the comparison between the groups, the G1 had a better performance according to the p-value and effect size in anxiety (p = 0.001, ES= 0.71), depression symptoms (p = 0.03, ES: 0.25), physical health (p = 0.03, ES: -0.24), mental health (p = 0.001, ES: 0.66), and total QOL (p = 0.048, ES: 0.21) than G2. Conclusion: Despite the effectiveness of both interventions, VRT improved the general health and quality of life in women with NSCLBP more than PNE/MCT.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

    Exploring the Relationship between the Students\' Futuristic Skill Competence and the Quality of Students\' Learning Experiences

    Introduction: Future research is an interdisciplinary study that can influence all sciences. Students are Future human resources for health systems; whose futures research ability can be improved through education over the years. The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between future research ability and quality of learning experiences of medical students of Mashhad in 2018. Methods: In this descriptive correlational study, the research population was all students of Mashhad University of Medical Sciences, 370 of whom were selected through two-stage stratified random sampling. Data collection tools included validity and reliability questionnaires of Parsa et al.'s future research ability and Neumann's quality of learning experiences. Data were analyzed using one-way ANOVA, multiple regression and Spearman correlation tests. Results: Students' future research ability was slightly higher than average (138.5±24.5) and Mean quality of learning experiences was moderate (34.2±7.1). There was a direct and significant correlation between the dimensions of futuristic ability and the dimensions of the quality of learning experiences that the severity of this relationship was weak (p0). Conclusion: Given the weak relationship between students' futuristic skill and the quality of their learning experiences, there are likely to be stronger factors that can predict or enhance students' futuristic skill. Therefore, more studies are recommended to identify the factors affecting it in higher education as a human resources producer to achieve optimal development and future

    Educational intervention on the health action model on Employee Safety Behaviors in Tabas coal mine

    Background and Aim: Maintaining a huge elderly health, health promotion and community development is very important. Workers' health status is largely influenced by their working conditions and job. Work in mines, including those considered threats to workers' health. Materials and Methods: A number of 45 workers in each of the control and intervention groups participated in a quasi-experimental study. Demographic information and data related to HAM constructs and safety were collected through a HAM questionnaire and the safe operation checklist 3 months after the intervention. Cronbach's alpha coefficients were used to confirm properties of the tools. Educational intervention accompanied was applied in the form of four training classes. The Data were analyzed based on distribution of variables. Results: Before the intervention, there was no significant difference between the two groups in terms of demographics and the study main variables. After training, however, results showed significant changes of mean scores of attitude (P<0.001), norms (P<0.001), belief (P<0.001), intention (P<0.001), knowledge (P<0.001) in the experimental group. Conclusion: The research results show that HAM educational intervention is able to change workers&rsquo; awareness, attitude, norm, belief, and intention towards unsafe behavior and improve their safety performance

    Relationship of sleep duration and sleep quality with health-related quality of life in patients on hemodialysis in Neyshabur

    Background: As a public health priority, health-related quality of life (HRQoL) is associated with some factors like sleep disorders. Taking this into consideration, this study aimed at investigating the relationship between sleep duration and sleep quality with HRQoL in patients on hemodialysis. Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out among 176 patients on hemodialysis who were admitted to the dialysis ward of 22 Bahman hospital and a private renal clinic in Neyshabur (a city in North-East of Iran) in 2021. Sleep duration and quality were measured using an Iranian version of Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) and HRQoL was evaluated with the Iranian version of a 12-Item Short Form Survey (SF-12). To analyze the data and examine the independent association of sleep duration and quality with HRQoL, multiple linear regression model was performed. Results: The mean age of the participants was 51.6 ± 16.4 and 63.6% were male. Moreover, 55.1% and 5.7% of subjects reported a sleep duration shorter than 7 h and equal to or more than 9 h, respectively, and the value prevalence of poor sleep quality was reported as 78.2%. Furthermore, the reported overall score of HRQoL was 57.6 ± 17.9. According to the adjusted models, poor sleep quality was negatively associated with the total HRQoL score (B = −14.5, P < 0.001). Shedding light on sleep duration and Physical Component Summary (PCS), the result indicated that insufficient sleep duration (<7 h) had a borderline negative association with PCS (B = −5.96, p = 0.049). Conclusions: Sleep duration and quality have important effects on HRQoL in patients on hemodialysis. Therefore, in line with improving sleep quality and HRQoL among these patients, essential interventions should be planned and performed

    Parametric study and process modeling for metronidazole removal by rhombic dodecahedron ZIF-67 crystals

    Abstract Metronidazole (MNZ) is an extensively used antibiotic against bacterial infections for humans and farm animals. Prevention of antibiotics discharge is essential to prevent adverse environmental and health impacts. A member of metal–organic frameworks, zeolite imidazole framework-67 with cobalt sulfate precursor (ZIF-67-SO4) and exceptional physio-chemical properties was prepared via room temperature precipitation to adsorb MNZ. The study framework was designed by Box–Behnken Design to evaluate the effect of pH, ZIF-67-SO4 dose, and contact time on adsorption efficiency. The polynomial model fitted the adsorption system indicated the optimal condition for 97% MNZ removal occurs at pH = 7, adsorbent dosage = 1 g/L, and mixing time = 60 min. The model also revealed that the removal increased with contact time and decreased at strong pH. Equilibrium and kinetic study also indicated the adsorption of MNZ followed the intra-particle diffusion model and the Langmuir isotherm model with a qmax = 63.03 mg/g. The insignificant loss in removal efficacy in use-reuse adsorption cycles reflected the practical viability of ZIF-67-SO4
