In this work we have studied the prime numbers in the model P=am+1,m,a>1∈N. and the number in the form q=mam+bm+1in particular, we provided tests for hem. This is considered a generalization of the work José María Grau and Antonio M. Oller-marcén prove that if Cma=mam+1 is a generalized Cullen number then mam≡−1amodCma. In a second paper published in 2014, they also presented a test for Broth’s numbers in Form kpn+1 where k1∈Nand p=qa+1where qis primeoddare special cases of the number mam+bm+1when btakes a specific value. For example, we proved if p=qa+1where q is odd prime and a>1∈N where πj=1qqjthen ∑j=1q−2πj−Cmaq−j−1q−am≡χmq−ammodp Components of proof Binomial theorem Fermat’s Litter Theorem Elementary algebra

The demand for unmanned aircraft vehicles, UAV, has grown quite significantly in recent years. It is therefore important to implement efficient and accurate computer controlled navigation algorithms on such vehicles to guarantee the successful and reliable delivery of the vehicle to its final destination. This paper describes algorithms that use the Global Positioning system data to navigate from the current position to the destination point. The algorithm continuously adjusts the direction of flight thus ensuring the shortest path to the target. The algorithm has been successfully tested within Khartoum Province

Heuristic resource allocation algorithm for controller placement in multi-control 5G based on SDN/NFV architecture

    Get PDF
The integration of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Function Virtualization (NFV) is considered to be an efficient solution that enables the forecasting of highly scalable, optimal performance of 5G networks by providing an effective means of network functionality. The distributed multi-controller architecture approach is an emerging strategy that primarily aims to support network functions performed through the application of a control plane, to provide versatile network traffic management. However, the management of resource allocations across multiple data centers is an important issue that still affects 5G core networks. Using such a strategy in 5G core networks requires the controllers to be correctly located, in order to improve network reliability and cost-effectiveness. Thus, to address the controller placement problem (CPP) in a distributed 5G network, we proposed an efficient, heuristic multi-objective optimization approach, using dynamic capacitated controller placement problem (DCCPP). It is based on the K-center problem, to solve the capacitated controller placement problem (CCPP), which acts as a resource location problem, in which the location and number of controllers can be allocated to maximize resources. A Greedy Randomized Search (GRS) algorithm was used to solve the dynamic assignment of nodes to controllers to achieve load balancing. The design of the heuristic method provides proper load balancing, efficient cost management, and network resource management, as compared to the basic CCPP model. The results indicate that the allocation and the optimum number of controllers under an effective decentralized policy could achieve a higher degree of efficiency through resource assignment in such a densified network

Background With an increasingly strained health system budgets, healthcare services need to continually demonstrate evidence of economic benefits. This study sought to evaluate the economic impact of interventions initiated by clinical pharmacists in an adult general tertiary hospital. Methods A retrospective review of clinical pharmacist interventions was carried out throughout followup durations in March 2018, July/August 2018, and January 2019 in Hamad General Hospital (HGH) at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar. The study included clinical pharmacy interventions data of patients admitted to the internal medicine, critical care, and emergency wards. Included interventions were documented by clinical pharmacists or clinical pharmacy specialists, and approved by physicians. Interventions by non-clinical pharmacists or with missing data were excluded. Adopting the perspective of HMC, we calculated the total economic benefit, which is the sum of the cost savings and the cost avoidance associated with the interventions. Cost savings was defined as the reduced cost of therapy associated with therapy changes minus the cost of intervention and cost avoidance was the cost avoided by eliminating the occurrence of adverse drug events (ADEs). Sensitivity analyses were performed to assess the robustness of results against uncertainties. Results A total of 852 interventions, based on 340 patients, were included. The analysis projected an annual total benefit of QAR 2,267,036 (USD 621,106) based on a negative cost-savings of QAR-175,139 (USD-47,983) and a positive cost avoidance of QAR741,898 (USD203,260) over the 3-month follow-up period. The uncertainty analysis demonstrated the robustness of outcomes, including a 100% probability of positive economic benefit. Conclusions The clinical pharmacist intervention was associated witScopu

The present study reports the synthesis of 2-azidobenzothiazoles from substituted 2-aminobenzothiazoles using sodium nitrite and sodium azide under mild conditions. All the synthesized compounds were examined for their antibacterial activity against Gram (+) bacteria, Staphylococcus aureus (ATCC 25923), Enterococcus faecalis (ATCC 51299), Bacillus cereus (ATCC 10876) and Gram (−) bacteria, Escherichia coli (ATCC 10536), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (ATCC 10145), Klebsiella pneumonia (ATCC BAA-2146)and clinical isolates of Gram (+) Methicillin Resistant S. aureus (MRSA) and Multi Drug Resistant E. coli. The Minimum Inhibitory Concentration (MIC) and Minimum Bactericidal Concentration (MBC) values by broth dilution method revealed that compound 2d exhibited significant antibacterial potential against E. faecalis and S. aureus with MIC of 8 μg/mL, while other synthesized compounds had only moderate effects against all the tested species. The compound significantly inhibited the biofilm formation of the bacterial strains below its MIC. The selective cytotoxicity of Compound 2d towards bacterial cells was evidenced on extended exposure of Human Embryonic Kidney-293 cell line to higher concentrations of the compound. Hence, the present study confirmed that compound 2d can be a potential drug candidate for future development as an antibacterial drug

We sought to investigate the economic impact of preventing adverse events in a cardiology setting in Qatar as an effect of the clinical pharmacist as an intervention. This is a retrospective study of interventions by clinical pharmacists within an adult cardiology setting in a public healthcare setting (i.e Hamad Medical Corporation). The study included interventions that took place in March 2018, July 15, 2018 to August 15, 2018, and January 2019. The economic impact was measured via calculating the total benefit, defined as the sum of the cost savings and the cost avoidance. Sensitivity analyses were adopted to confirm the robustness of the results. The pharmacist intervened in 262 patients, resulting in 845 interventions, with appropriate therapy (58.6%) and dosing/administration (30.2%) being the most frequent categories of reported interventions. Cost savings and cost avoidance resulted in QAR-11,536 (USD-3169) and QAR1,607,484 (USD 441,616), respectively, yielding a total benefit of QAR1,595,948 (USD 438,447) per 3 months and QAR6,383,792 (USD 1,753,789) per a year.Funding: This work was supported by the Medical Research Center, Hamad Medical Corporation [grant number ( MRC-01-19-110 )].Scopu

Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is known for serious health problems. Testing new inexpensive natural products such as mango kernel (Mangifera indica L., Anacardiaceae) may provide alternative and economically viable anti-MRSA drugs. In the current study, we screened clinical isolates from Aseer Central Hospital, Saudi Arabia, during 2012–2017 for MRSA and tested an ethanolic extract of mango kernel for anti-MRSA activity. Brief confirmation of MRSA was performed by the Vitek 2 system, while antibiotic sensitivity of strains was tested for their clinical relevance. The In vitro disc diffusion method was used to test the anti-MRSA activity of the ethanolic mango kernel extract. The antimicrobial activity of mango kernel was compared to that of standard drugs (oxacillin and vancomycin). Of the identified 132 S. aureus strains, 42 (31.8%) were found to be MRSA and their prevalence showed a clear increase during the last two years (2016-2017; p<0.001). MRSA strains showed 100% sensitivity to vancomycin, teicoplanin, linezolid, tetracycline, daptomycin, tigecycline, and tobramycin and 100% resistance to ampicillin and 98% to penicillin. The ethanolic extracts of mango kernel were found active against both S. aureus and the MRSA strains. Inhibitory activities (mean ± SE) were achieved at concentrations of 50 mg/mL (20.77 ± 0.61), 5 mg/mL (16.18 ± 0.34), and 0.5 mg/mL (8.39 ± 0.33) exceeding that of vancomycin (p=0.0162). MRSA strains were sensitive to mango kernel extracts when compared to vancomycin. Therefore, ethanolic extracts of mango kernel can be escalated to animal model studies as a promising leading anti-MRSA drug candidate and can be an economic alternative to high-priced synthetic antibiotics
