Recently, messaging applications, such as WhatsApp, have been reportedly abused by misinformation campaigns, especially in Brazil and India. A notable form of abuse in WhatsApp relies on several manipulated images and memes containing all kinds of fake stories. In this work, we performed an extensive data collection from a large set of WhatsApp publicly accessible groups and fact-checking agency websites. This paper opens a novel dataset to the research community containing fact-checked fake images shared through WhatsApp for two distinct scenarios known for the spread of fake news on the platform: the 2018 Brazilian elections and the 2019 Indian elections.Comment: 7 pages. Current technological advances allow us to create, adapt or simply use numerous resources to achieve improvements in teaching-learning. The purpose of this article is to show the result of an analysis of the current normative documents and recommendations for national education in Brazil (National Curricular Guidelines - National Curricular Parameters and National Common Curricular Base), primary and secondary education, regarding the contents recommended in mathematical logic, complementing with the analysis of a pedagogical political project of the fundamental education of a public school, to verify the existence of this content, in it. From this analysis and reflection on the importance of educational games in teaching, the article proposes the development of an educational game especially to assist in teaching the functionalities on the symbols of logic. It highlights the contribution of this game to the teaching-learning of these rules and symbols and, finally, concludes by showing the importance of this activity in the educational process

The Soil-Cement Brick on Construction with Structural Masonry – An Alternative in the Fight Against Housing Deficit and Environmental Pollution in the State of Rondônia*

The Housing Deficit in the State of Rondônia is increasing, not only due to the absence of effective public policies dedicated to the treatment of housing, but also due to the lack of study and application of new technologies in the area of civil construction, which can generate great savings and remarkable rapidity in the construction of housing units. This deficit is characterized by the lack of housing and the existence of those considered inadequate to human occupation with quality and safety, due to its operationality, physical characteristics and location. However, there is a need for greater economy and productivity in the construction of housing, in order to be able to supply part of this demand, without letting the quality levels drop. In the light of Sustainable Development, it will be proposed and directed the correction of this paradigm that tends to hold more weight in the "social" dimension. The application of the Structural Masonry System with the use of the Cement Brick, popularly known as "ecological brick", is the main basis of this study, where it is intended to demonstrate that its option for housing construction can be an excellent response to the housing deficit and environmental pollution, generated by the rubbish of Civil Construction in the State of Rondônia

Two Decades of Developmentalism: Bottlenecks and Plans of State Intervention in Brazil in the Second Half of the Twentieth Century

This work takes as its theme public policies on development. It aims an overall analysis of the most urgent issues of political and economic plans launched in Brazil in the second half of the twentieth century. Specifically, the intention is to discuss the establishment of government policies in combating bottlenecks in the national economy through the Plans. This is an article based on concepts of development and the major general lines of the development plans in this country. Kon’s works (1999) are the fundamental theoretical basis. We notice that Brazil experienced two very different decades, the 1970s and 1980s: the first focused investment for economic growth; the second, turned to fighting inflation. Because of discourses and appointed limits, developmentalism occurred, but no development in the strict sense. Between public debt and inflation addiction, which were parallel in the two mentioned decades, (still) rests the same issue in the country: What is development? What is the country’s development

Connecting Regional Development to Environmental Education

<p>In this study we investigate how environmental education can be connected with the regional sustainable development We perceive that the dialogues surrounding Environmental Education in formal education have been dividing opinions over the last two decades. This does not happen only in relation to the conceptual precepts, but mainly in relation to the field of activity. Our theoretical support comes from authors engaged with the Critical Environmental Education, signaling for the construction of what we call Reference Framework. Our research is developed from a qualitative perspective, having as a strategy the exploratory case study. For the analysis of the documents we make reference to the methodology of content analysis proposed by Bardin (2011) and reflective application of the Reference Framework. We argue that so far in Brazil, environmental education is divided into two major theoretical trends that reflect the practices of environmental educators. On the one hand, supporting a behaviorist / liberal / conservative tendency of Environmental Education (CARVALHO, 2001; GUIMARÃES, 2000; LOUREIRO, 2008), understand environmental practices from its immediate resolution dimension, focusing actions that situate environmental practices through changes in social behaviors, mostly promoted by environmental activism. On the other hand, we have the opposite, that is, the popular / critical / emancipatory tendency which situates its argumentative and practical content situates in the significant assumption of a new societal posture in relation to the economic models adopted. It establishes the connection between environmental education and local / regional development, delineating a perception of reality, forming a dimension of creating other ways of relating human and non-human, including the emergence of a rationality that impresses ethical socio-environmental values, other forms of understanding of the world and the concept of environmental rationality.</p&gt

There are many oil companies operating in Macaé-RJ, Campos basin, they value the safety of work and the lives of its employees. These companies do a study to verify the health status of their employees' spine and result in a database with six attributes, such as: Pelvic incidence, Pelvic inclination, Lumbar lordosis angle, Sacral inclination, Pelvic radius and Degree of Spondylolisthesis. For in Brazil, recently, Social Security has released statistical studies that show back pain as leaders in the ranking of departures in the first half of 2016, a fact that directly affects the productivity of companies and health of their employees. This article aims to apply the KDD process, specifically the task of Data Mining classification, ie, classify if the employee will be fit or unfit for the job. The decision tree was the technique chosen through the algorithm J48 to verify the possibilities of treatment of the collaborators in the prevention and improvement in the working environment, and even, a change in the management was made from the results found. It resulted in inadequate staff postures, inadequate service stations, lack of training in equipment handling, lack of knowledge about cargo handling
