Index computation for 3d Chern-Simons matter theory: test of Seiberg-like duality
We work out the superconformal index for N=2 supersymmetric Chern-Simons
matter theories exhibiting Seiberg-like dualities proposed by Giveon and
Kutasov. We consider gauge theories of QCD type and find the
perfect agreements for proposed dual pairs.Comment: References adde
Towards Deconstruction of the Type D (2,0) Theory
We propose a four-dimensional supersymmetric theory that deconstructs, in a
particular limit, the six-dimensional theory of type . This 4d
theory is defined by a necklace quiver with alternating gauge nodes
and . We test this proposal by comparing the
6d half-BPS index to the Higgs branch Hilbert series of the 4d theory. In the
process, we overcome several technical difficulties, such as Hilbert series
calculations for non-complete intersections, and the choice of
versus gauge groups. Consistently, the result matches the Coulomb
branch formula for the mirror theory upon reduction to 3d
Symplectic Three-Algebra and N=6, Sp(2N) X U(1) Superconformal Chern-Simons-Matter Theory
We introduce an anti-symmetric metric into a 3-algebra and call it a
symplectic 3-algebra. The N=6, Sp(2N) X U(1) superconformal Chern-Simons-matter
theory with SU(4) R-symmetry in three dimensions is constructed by specifying
the 3-brackets in a symplectic 3-algebra. We also demonstrate that the N=6,
U(M) X U(N) theory can be recast into this symplectic 3-algebraic framework.Comment: 17 pages, version accepted for publication in EPJC. Section 4 added,

Calogero-Sutherland Approach to Defect Blocks
Extended objects such as line or surface operators, interfaces or boundaries
play an important role in conformal field theory. Here we propose a systematic
approach to the relevant conformal blocks which are argued to coincide with the
wave functions of an integrable multi-particle Calogero-Sutherland problem.
This generalizes a recent observation in 1602.01858 and makes extensive
mathematical results from the modern theory of multi-variable hypergeometric
functions available for studies of conformal defects. Applications range from
several new relations with scalar four-point blocks to a Euclidean inversion

Generalized Toda Theory from Six Dimensions and the Conifold
Recently, a physical derivation of the Alday-Gaiotto-Tachikawa correspondence
has been put forward. A crucial role is played by the complex Chern-Simons
theory arising in the 3d-3d correspondence, whose boundary modes lead to Toda
theory on a Riemann surface. We explore several features of this derivation and
subsequently argue that it can be extended to a generalization of the AGT
correspondence. The latter involves codimension two defects in six dimensions
that wrap the Riemann surface. We use a purely geometrical description of these
defects and find that the generalized AGT setup can be modeled in a pole region
using generalized conifolds. Furthermore, we argue that the ordinary conifold
clarifies several features of the derivation of the original AGT

Argyres-Douglas theories, the Macdonald index, and an RG inequality
We conjecture closed-form expressions for the Macdonald limits of the super-conformal indices of the (A1, A2n − 3) and (A1, D2n) Argyres-Douglas (AD) theories in terms of certain simple deformations of Macdonald polynomials. As checks of our conjectures, we demonstrate compatibility with two S-dualities, we show symmetry enhancement for special values of n, and we argue that our expressions encode a non-trivial set of renormalization group flows. Moreover, we demonstrate that, for certain values of n, our conjectures imply simple operator relations involving composites built out of the SU(2)R currents and flavor symmetry moment maps, and we find a consistent picture in which these relations give rise to certain null states in the corresponding chiral algebras. In addition, we show that the Hall-Littlewood limits of our indices are equivalent to the corresponding Higgs branch Hilbert series. We explain this fact by considering the S1 reductions of our theories and showing that the equivalence follows from an inequality on monopole quantum numbers whose coefficients are fixed by data of the four-dimensional parent theories. Finally, we comment on the implications of our work for more general (Formula presented.) superconformal field theories
Precision Spectroscopy and Higher Spin symmetry in the ABJM model
We revisit Kaluza-Klein compactification of 11-d supergravity on S^7/Z_k
using group theory techniques that may find application in other flux vacua
with internal coset spaces. Among the SO(2) neutral states, we identify
marginal deformations and fields that couple to the recently discussed
world-sheet instanton of Type IIA on CP^3. We also discuss charged states, dual
to monopole operators, and the Z_k projection of the Osp(4|8) singleton and its
tensor products. In particular, we show that the doubleton spectrum may account
for N=6 higher spin symmetry enhancement in the limit of vanishing 't Hooft
coupling in the boundary Chern-Simons theory.Comment: 44 page
