Defesa : Curitiba, 02/04/2020Inclui referências: p. 108-114Resumo: A pesquisa tem o objetivo de responder como a improvisação musical é ensinada dentro de cursos específicos de bacharelado e licenciatura em música de Curitiba nas universidades UNESPAR - Campus Curitiba I (EMBAP) e II (FAP), da UFPR e PUC-PR. Autores como Jacques Dalcroze, Violeta de Gainza, Carl Orff, Jos Wuytack, Hans Joachim Koellreutter e John Kratus defendem que a improvisação deve estar presente na educação musical de diferentes maneiras. Desse modo, o trabalho busca apresentar conceitos sobre improvisação musical e choro por meio de um levantamento em literatura específica. Conjuntamente foi investigado quais técnicas de improvisação podem ser encontradas no repertório e como os professores aplicam a metodologia no decorrer do ensino do choro, além de observar quais são os conceitos e maneiras de improvisação pensadas pelos docentes e discentes. A metodologia de pesquisa pode ser definida como um estudo de caso para pesquisa quanti-qualitativa, cuja coleta em campo foi a partir questionários realizados com a comunidade acadêmica e pesquisa documental dos cursos selecionados. Após a elaboração e aplicação de questionários os professores, os dados foram analisados de maneira a esquadrinhar como o corpo docente e discente compreende a improvisação musical, quais são suas especificidades na prática do choro, como a técnica é entendida por alunos e professores e que repertórios e materiais didáticos são utilizados em sala de aula. Palavras-chave: Improvisação, Choro, Educação Musical, Métodos Didáticos.Abstract: The main objective of this research is to answer how the musical improvisation is taught in specific undergraduate courses of music in Curitiba in universities UNESPAR - Campus Curitiba I (EMBAP) and II (FAP), UFPR and PUCPR. Jacques Dalcroze, Violeta de Gainza, Jos Wuytack, Carl Orff, Hans Joachim Koellreutter, John Kratus and other authors defend the value of the presence of improvisation in musical education. Thus, this dissertation will introduce concepts of musical improvisation and choro through specified literature. Jointly it was investigated which improvisation techniques can be found in repertory and how professors apply teaching methods while teaching choro, in addition to observing how professors and students understand the concepts of improvisation. The research methodology is a case study for quantitative and qualitative research, whose field collection was based on questionnaires conducted with the academic community besides documentary research of the courses. After applying the questionnaires, I analyzed the information to examine how the professors and students define the musical improvisation, what are the specificities of the technique while practicing choro, how the technique is understood by students and professors, besides witch songs and didactic methods are used in classrooms.
