    Structure of mortality among patients with diabetes mellitus in the republic of Uzbekistan during COVID-19 pandemia

    BACKGROUND. The COVID-19 pandemic has caused enormous damage to all countries of the world. Patients with diabetes mellitus are a separate risk group for the consequences of COVID-19, both in the acute and in the long-term period.AIM. To study change in the structure of mortality among patients with diabetes in the Republic of Uzbekistan during the COVID-19 pandemic.MATERIALS AND METHODS. We analyzed the data of the report forms of endocrinological dispensaries for reasons of deaths registered among patients with 2 diabetes mellitus in 2020 and compared these indicators with the data of 2019.RESULTS. In 2020, mortality among patients with diabetes increased 1.5 times compared to 2019 and was 4.3% (compared to 2.8% in 2019). Among the causes of deaths, cardiovascular accidents prevailed: 57,9% in 2020 (48,0% in 2019), cerebrovascular accidents (15,6% in 2020 and 24,2% in 2019), chronic kidney disease (12,0% and 15,1%), gangrene, sepsis (1,2% and 1,8%), the frequency of hyper- and hypoglycemic comas as causes of death was 0.6% both in 2019 and in 2020, however, the absolute number increased in 2020. Among the «other» causes of death (12.8% in 2020 and 10,2% in 2019), COVID-19 itself was 52,3%, pneumonia 17,2%, pulmonary embolism 1%, oncological diseases 12%, liver cirrhosis 12%.CONCLUSIONS. Despite the fact that COVID-19 caused deaths in 6.7% of patients with diabetes, the COVID-19 pandemic caused a significant increase in mortality — 1.5 times — among patients with diabetes, mainly due to acute cardiovascular accidents, stroke, as well as accelerating the progression of chronic complications of diabetes, in particular chronic kidney disease

    The object of the study was oxidized copper ore of the Zhezkazgan deposit and technical sulfur, oil industry waste. The oxidized copper ore – sulfur system was studied to explore the possibility of sulfidation of oxidized copper ores with sulfur. Oxidized copper ore is involved in production in view of depleted sulfide copper minerals. Many studies focuses on the sulfidation of oxidized copper minerals in order to improve the efficiency of copper extraction from this type of feed. It is also important to study the sulfidation of oxidized copper ores with technical sulfur as an oil industry waste. The thermodynamic evaluation of metal oxides sulfidation using hydrogen sulfide, sulfur or other sulfur-containing compounds is of interest in terms of preparing metallurgical raw materials for enrichment. The use of technical sulfur also solves the oil industry problems. Thermal and X-ray diffraction analyzes were used to study the oxidized copper ore – sulfur system. Thermal analysis was performed on the Q-1000/D derivatograph (F. Paulik, J. Paulik and L. Erdey system) manufactured by MOM, Hungary. Due to the peculiar thermal behavior of sulfur (low melting and boiling points) included in the charge composition (low interaction temperature) the heating temperature of a number of samples was limited to 20~650 °C. Heating was performed in a dynamic mode with calcined Al2O3 as a reference substance and a test charge of 100 mg. It was found that sulfur reacts with oxidized copper minerals at the non-isothermal heating of the reaction mixture in the temperature range 160–350 °С, and the sulfidation reaction is accompanied by the release of heat and sulfur dioxide. The results of X-ray diffraction analysis of products after thermal interaction confirm the copper sulfide formation.Объектами исследования служили окисленная медная руда Жезказганского месторождения и техническая сера – отход нефтепромышленности. Для выявления возможности сульфидирования окисленных медных руд с серой изучена система «окисленная медная руда–сера». Ввиду истощения сульфидных медных минералов в производство вовлекается окисленная медная руда. Для повышения эффективности извлечения меди из данного вида сырья многие исследования направлены на проведение сульфидирования окисленных медных минералов. Немаловажно изучение процесса сульфидирования окисленных медных руд с технической серой – отходом нефтепромышленности. Термодинамическая оценка реакции сульфидирования оксидов металлов с использованием сероводорода, серы или других серосодержащих соединений вызывает интерес в плане подготовки металлургического сырья к обогащению. Применение технической серы одновременно решает проблемы нефтепромышленности. Система «окисленная медная руда–сера» была исследована с помощью термического и рентгенодифрактометрического анализов. Термический анализ выполнен на дериватографе Q-1000/D системы F. Paulik, J. Paulik и L. Erdey фирмы МОМ (Венгрия). В связи с особенностью свойств cеры (низкие температуры плавления и кипения), включенной в состав шихты (невысокая температура взаимодействия), прогревание ряда образцов ограничивалось пределами 20~650 °С. Режим нагревания – динамический, эталонное вещество – прокаленный Аl2O3, навеска образца – 100 мг. Установлено, что взаимодействие серы с окисленными минералами меди в условиях неизотермического нагрева реакционной смеси происходит в интервале температур 160–350 °С и реакция сульфидирования сопровождается выделением тепла и сернистого ангидрида. Результаты рентгенодифрактометрического анализа продуктов после термического взаимодействия подтверждают образование сульфида меди

    РАЗРАБОТКА ФЛОТОАППАРАТА С ВЫСОКОНАПОРНЫМ РОТАЦИОННЫМ ПУЛЬСАЦИОННЫМ АЭРАТОРОМ

    An enlarged version of the flotation unit equipped with a high-pressure rotational pulsation aerator (HPRPA) was manufactured. Studies and tests were carried out using a refractory fine-grained gold-containing ore sample from one of Kazakhstan deposits. The experiment and practice of flotation using the HPRPA developed by the authors demonstrated that pressure fluctuations created by the aerator ensured the efficiency of the functional use of two periods: (1) dissolution of additional gases in the high-pressure compression period, which provides the aeration process with the necessary amount of dissolved gases; (2) pseudo-cavitational emission of gases in the medium rarefaction period, which ensures aeration with gas emission from the aqueous phase directly on hydrophobic mineral microparticles, i.e. selective flotation of microdispersions. The obtained results showed that ore flotation in the flotation unit equipped with the HPRPA lead to a very significant positive effect not only with regard to the extraction of metals, but also to the quality of obtained concentrates.Изготовлен укрупненный вариант флотоаппарата с высоконапорным ротационным пульсационным аэратором (ВРПА). Проведены исследования и испытания на труднообогатимой тонковкрапленной золотосодержащей пробе руды одного из месторождений Казахстана. Эксперимент и практика флотации с разработанным авторами ВРПА показали, что колебания давления, которые создаются аэратором, обеспечивают эффективность функционального использования двух периодов: (1) растворение дополнительного количества газов в высоконапорном периоде сжатия, что обеспечивает процесс аэрации необходимым количеством растворенных газов; (2) псевдокавитационное выделение газов в периоде разрежения среды, чем и обеспечивается аэрация с выделением газов из водной фазы непосредственно на гидрофобных минеральных микрочастицах, т.е. селективная флотация микродисперсий. Полученные результаты показали, что при флотации руды на флотоаппарате с ВРПА получен весьма существенный положительный эффект не только по извлечению металлов, но и по качеству получаемых концентратов
