M-theory curves from warped AdS in Type IIB
We establish a close relation between recently constructed AdS solutions
in Type IIB supergravity, which describe the near-horizon limit of
5-brane junctions, and the curves wrapped by M5-branes in the M-theory
realization of the 5-brane junctions. This provides a geometric interpretation
of various objects appearing in the construction of the Type IIB solutions and
a physical interpretation of the regularity conditions. Conversely, the Type
IIB solutions provide explicit solutions to the equations defining the M-theory
curves associated with 5-brane junctions.Comment: 24 page
Spectral projections and resolvent bounds for partially elliptic quadratic differential operators
We study resolvents and spectral projections for quadratic differential
operators under an assumption of partial ellipticity. We establish
exponential-type resolvent bounds for these operators, including
Kramers-Fokker-Planck operators with quadratic potentials. For the norms of
spectral projections for these operators, we obtain complete asymptotic
expansions in dimension one, and for arbitrary dimension, we obtain exponential
upper bounds and the rate of exponential growth in a generic situation. We
furthermore obtain a complete characterization of those operators with

Distribution power loss minimization via distributed generation, capacitor and network reconfiguration
This paper presents a solution to solve the network reconfiguration, DG coordination (location and size) and capacitor coordination (location and size), simultaneously. The proposed solution will be determined by using Artificial Bee Colony (ABC). Various case studies are presented to see the impact on the test system, in term of power loss reduction and also voltage profiles. The proposed approach is applied to a 33-bus test system and simulate by using MATLAB programming. The simulation results show that combination of DG, capacitor and network reconfiguration gives a positive impact on total power losses minimization as well as voltage profile improvement compared to other case studies

Regional differences in prostaglandin Eā metabolism in human colorectal cancer liver metastases
Background: Prostaglandin (PG) Eā plays a critical role in colorectal cancer (CRC) progression, including epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Activity of the rate-limiting enzyme for PGEā catabolism (15-hydroxyprostaglandin dehydrogenase [15-PGDH]) is dependent on availability of NAD+. We tested the hypothesis that there is intra-tumoral variability in PGEā content, as well as in levels and activity of 15-PGDH, in human CRC liver metastases (CRCLM). To understand possible underlying mechanisms, we investigated the relationship between hypoxia, 15-PGDH and PGEā in human CRC cells in vitro. Methods: Tissue from the periphery and centre of 20 human CRCLM was analysed for PGEā levels, 15-PGDH and cyclooxygenase (COX)-2 expression, 15-PGDH activity, and NAD+/NADH levels. EMT of LIM1863 human CRC cells was induced by transforming growth factor (TGF) Ī². Results: PGEā levels were significantly higher in the centre of CRCLM compared with peripheral tissue (P = 0.04). There were increased levels of 15-PGDH protein in the centre of CRCLM associated with reduced 15-PGDH activity and low NAD+/NADH levels. There was no significant heterogeneity in COX-2 protein expression. NAD+ availability controlled 15-PGDH activity in human CRC cells in vitro. Hypoxia induced 15-PGDH expression in human CRC cells and promoted EMT, in a similar manner to PGEā. Combined 15-PGDH expression and loss of membranous E-cadherin (EMT biomarker) were present in the centre of human CRCLM in vivo.Conclusions: There is significant intra-tumoral heterogeneity in PGEā content, 15-PGDH activity and NAD+ availability in human CRCLM. Tumour micro-environment (including hypoxia)-driven differences in PGEā metabolism should be targeted for novel treatment of advanced CRC
