Gemifloxacin mesylate: UV spectrophotometric method for quantitative determination using experimental design for robustness

This study describes the validation of UV spectrophotometric method for quantitative determination of gemifloxacin mesylate (GFM) in tablets using methanol as solvent. The method was specific, linear, precise, exact and robust at 272 and 343 nm. The results confirmed that the method in both wavelengths is valid and useful to the routine quality control of GFM in coated tablets. The validate method was compared to liquid chromatography (HPLC), microbiological assay and visible (VIS) spectrophotometry, which were previously developed and validated to the same drug. Ideologia como estratégia de colonização da subjetividade na sociedade capitalista contemporânea / Ideology as a strategy of the colonization of the subjectivity in the contemporary capitalist society

O conceito de ideologia, historicamente, incitou diversas polêmicas e interpretações em torno de seu uso. Dessa maneira, houve uma tendência à sua neutralização e abandono. O presente artigo visa resgatar o caráter crítico do conceito. Para tanto, vamos nos valer de um estudo teórico sobre o tema para cumprir o objetivo de ler e interpretar a ideologia nos discursos a partir de uma aproximação entre psicanálise e marxismo. Nessa perspectiva teórica, veremos que a ideologia se torna uma estratégia de colonização da subjetividade em uma sociedade capitalista e que, portanto, traz sofrimento para as pessoas. A partir das contribuições de autores como Ernesto Laclau foi possível analisar como a ideologia se manifesta na linguagem, produzindo engodo e distanciamento do pensamento à realidade material que organiza o ser social. Dessa maneira, a ideologia opera na produção de uma fantasia que acoberta a impossibilidade de plenitude em que todos estariam representados pelo capitalismo

Development and validation of microbiological assay by agar diffusion method - cylinder plate for doripenem powder for injectable solution

The carbapenems are a class of -lactam antibiotics that present action against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Doripenem is a new carbapenem that has few published studies for the quantitative determination and there isn’t monograph in the Official Codes. Therefore, this study aims to develop and validate microbiological assay for quality control of the drug powder for injectable solution. The parameters analyzed during validation were linearity (r=0.99999), repeatability (RSD=1.74%), intermediate precision (RSD=3.12%), accuracy (98.90 to 101.51%), specificity and robustness. The results show that the method is suitable for quality control of doripenem powder for injectable solution
