Tree-level unitarity constraints in the most general 2HDM

We obtain tree-level unitarity constraints for the most general Two Higgs Doublet Model (2HDM) with explicit CP-violation. We briefly discuss correspondence between possible violation of tree level unitarity limitation and physical content of the theory.Comment: 6 pages, no figure

Self-similar shock wave solutions of the non-linear Maxwell equations

In our study we consider nonlinear, power-law field-dependent electrical permitivity and magnetic permeability and investigate the time-dependent Maxwell equations with the self-similar Ansatz. This is a first-order hyperbolic PDE system which can conserve non-continuous initial conditions describing electromagnetic shock-waves. Besides shock-waves other interesting solutions (e.g. with localized compact support) can be found with delicate physical properties. Such phenomena may happen in complex materials induced by the planned powerful Extreme Light Infrastructure(ELI) laser pulses.Comment: 6 pages, 2 figures published in Laser Phys. 24 (2014) 08600

Phenomenological Analogies in Black Hole Systems of all Masses

I review the progress made on the physics of relativistic jets from black hole systems in the context of the analogy between AGN and microquasars that was proposed one decade ago. If the emerging empirical correlations between the observational properties of stellar and supermassive black holes will become more robust, we will use them to determine the mass and spin of black holes, independently of theoretical models. Microquasars are fossils of sources of Gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) of long duration, and their kinematics provides observational clues on the physics of collapsars. If jets in GRBs, microquasars and AGN are due to a unique universal magnetohydrodynamic mechanism, synergy between the research on these three different classes of cosmic objects will lead to further progress in black hole physics and astrophysics.Comment: Invited review at the conference "Stellar-Mass, Intermediate-Mass, and Supermassive Black Holes." CP odd anomalous interactions of Higgs boson in its production at Photon Colliders

    Get PDF
We discuss the potentialities of the study of CP-odd interactions of the Higgs boson with photons via its production at gamma-gamma and e-gamma colliders. Our treatment of H-gamma-gamma and H-Z-gamma anomalous interactions includes a set of parameters, whose impact on physical observables has not been considered before. We focus on two reactions - gamma+gamma-->H and e+gamma-->eH - and introduce the polarization and/or azimuthal asymmetries that are particularly sensitive to specific features of anomalies. We discuss the ways of disentangling effects of physically different parameters of anomalies and estimate what magnitude of CP violating phenomena can be seen in these experiments.Comment: 17 pages, 9 figs; some modifications in the results presentation; version to be published in Eur.Phys.J.

Self-similar solutions of the G-equation - analytic description of the flame surface

The main feature of the flame kinematics can be desribed with the G-equation. We investigate the solutions of the G-equation with the well-known self-similar Ansatz. The results are discussed and the method how to get self-similar solutions is briefly mentioned.Comment: just a short paper 5 pages, 5 figure

Physical problems for future Photon Colliders

    Get PDF
In this report I discuss physical problems for future Photon Colliders (PLC), which can be stated AFTER 10 years of work of LHC and few years of work of e^+e^- ILC. I discuss mainly the unfavorable case when these colliders will give us only Higgs boson(s) and perhaps some charged particles of unclear nature. I focus my attention for the case of PLC based on the second stage of ILC (about 1 TeV) or CLIC (1-3 TeV). It offers opportunity to study new series of fundamental physical problems. Among them - multiple production of gauge bosons, hunt for strong interaction in Higgs sector, search of exotic interactions in the process γγγγ\gamma\gamma\to\gamma\gamma with final photons having transverse momenta (0.5 - 0.7)E_e.Comment: 12 pages, 16 figure
