On the Non-Lorentz Invariance of M.W. Evans O(3)-Symmetry Law
Correcting a former proof of M.W. Evans it is shown that his O(3) hypothesis

An assessment of Evans' unified field theory II
Evans developed a classical unified field theory of gravitation and
electromagnetism on the background of a spacetime obeying a Riemann-Cartan
geometry. In an accompanying paper I, we analyzed this theory and summarized it
in nine equations. We now propose a variational principle for Evans' theory and
show that it yields two field equations. The second field equation is algebraic
in the torsion and we can resolve it with respect to the torsion. It turns out
that for all physical cases the torsion vanishes and the first field equation,
together with Evans' unified field theory, collapses to an ordinary Einstein

Rapid advance of two mountain glaciers in response to mine-related debris loading
Rapid glacier advance is known to occur by a range of mechanisms. However, although large-scale debris loading has been proposed as a process for causing rapid terminus advance, it has rarely been observed. We use satellite remote-sensing data to observe accelerated glacier terminus advance in response to massive supraglacial loading on two glaciers in Kyrgyzstan. Over a 15 year period, mining activity has led to the dumping of spoil of up to 180 m thick on large parts of these valley glaciers. We find that the termini of these glaciers advance by 1.2 and 3.2 km respectively at a rate of up to 350 m yr−1. Our analysis suggests that although enhanced basal sliding could be an important process, massive supraglacial loads have also caused enhanced internal ice deformation that would account for most, or all, of the glacier terminus advance. In addition, narrowing of the glacier valley and mining and dumping of ice alter the mass balance and flow regime of the glaciers. Although the scale of supraglacial loading is massive, this full-scale experiment provides insight into glacier flow acceleration response where small valley glaciers are impacted by very large volumes of landslide debris
Critical Exponents and Stability at the Black Hole Threshold for a Complex Scalar Field
This paper continues a study on Choptuik scaling in gravitational collapse of
a complex scalar field at the threshold for black hole formation. We perform a
linear perturbation analysis of the previously derived complex critical
solution, and calculate the critical exponent for black hole mass, . We also show that this critical solution is unstable via a

Action at a distance as a full-value solution of Maxwell equations: basis and application of separated potential's method
The inadequacy of Li\'{e}nard-Wiechert potentials is demonstrated as one of
the examples related to the inconsistency of the conventional classical
electrodynamics. The insufficiency of the Faraday-Maxwell concept to describe
the whole electromagnetic phenomena and the incompleteness of a set of
solutions of Maxwell equations are discussed and mathematically proved. Reasons
of the introduction of the so-called ``electrodynamics dualism concept"
(simultaneous coexistence of instantaneous Newton long-range and
Faraday-Maxwell short-range interactions) have been displayed. It is strictly
shown that the new concept presents itself as the direct consequence of the
complete set of Maxwell equations and makes it possible to consider classical
electrodynamics as a self-consistent and complete theory, devoid of inward
contradictions. In the framework of the new approach, all main concepts of
classical electrodynamics are reconsidered. In particular, a limited class of
motion is revealed when accelerated charges do not radiate electromagnetic

Inflammatory and immune system correlates of rape
The purpose of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of measuring stress hormones and immunity following rape. The long-term goal is to evaluate the predictive value of stress-immune-inflammatory responses to later health outcomes. Fifteen women reporting rape were compared with 16 control participants. Serum stress hormones, proinflammatory cytokines, acute phase proteins, functional assays, and lymphocyte subsets were measured in blood samples. Women reporting rape had higher cytotoxic cells, lower B lymphocyte counts, higher proinflammatory biomarkers, and decreased lymphocyte proliferation compared to the control group. This finding suggests that rape produces activation of the innate immunity and suppression of some aspects of adaptive immunity. If these immune changes persist, they may contribute to the pathophysiology of long-term health sequelae by provoking chronic inflammation and decreased cellular immunocompetence

Integral Field Spectroscopy of a peculiar Supernova Remnant MF16 in NGC6946
We present a study of a peculiar Supernova Remnant MF16, associated with the
Ultraluminous X-ray Source (ULX) NGC6946 ULX-1. Observations were taken with
the MultiPupil Fiber Spectrograph (MPFS) with 6-m telescope on January 2005.
The nebula is found to be highly asymmetric, one of the parts being much denser
and colder. The two-component structure of the emission lines and radial
velocity gradient argue for a non-spherical nebula, expanding with a velocity
of about 100 km/s. Neither shock models nor the X-ray emission can adequately
explain the actual emission line spectrum of MF16, so we suggest an additional
ultraviolet source with a luminosity of about 10E40 erg/s. We confirm
coincidence of the ULX with the central star, and identify radio emission

Analytical solutions for black-hole critical behaviour
Dynamical Einstein cluster is a spherical self-gravitating system of
counterrotating particles, which may expand, oscillate and collapse. This
system exhibits critical behaviour in its collapse at the threshold of black
hole formation. It appears when the specific angular momentum of particles is
tuned finely to the critical value. We find the unique exact self-similar
solution at the threshold. This solution begins with a regular surface,
involves timelike naked singularity formation and asymptotically approaches a
