Mathematical understanding ability is the ability that students have to absorb and understand mathematical ideas. Mathematics is abstract ideas that contain symbols, so one must understand mathematical concepts before manipulating these symbols. So, the ability to understand mathematics is one of the initial abilities that students must have before increasing to other mathematical abilities. The purpose of this study is to find out the increase in mathematical understanding and to find out how much influence the model hasDiscovery Learning helpPhET Simulations. This type of research method used is quasi-experimental. The experimental method is used to determine the relationship between variables by involving the control class and the experimental class. The design used isthe nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. This design deliverspretest or tests carried out before being given treatment in the form of description questions in the control class and the experimental class. The experimental class was given treatmentTreatment in the form of learning with the methoddiscovery learning media-assistedPhET Simulations, while the control class received conventional learning with video and image media.Posttest or tests carried out after receiving treatment in the form of description questions that are the same aspretest to find out whether there is an increase in mathematical understanding abilities in the control class and the experimental class. From the results of the research that has been done, there is an increase in the mathematical understanding abilities of students who receive learning using modelsdiscovery learning media-assistedPhET Simulations better than students who get learning with a conventional approach. There is an influence of learning using modelsdiscovery learning media-assistedPhET Simulations on the mathematical understanding ability of elementary school students

Writing is a creative process that is carried out by using written language to convey information from the writer to the reader. Narrative essay is a discourse or essay that aims to tell or narrate an event or events from time to time. This ability is an important ability because it is a person's ability to understand the results of his own writing. The purpose of this study was to determine the ability to write narrative essays in class IV students, to find out the difficulties of students in developing the ability to write narrative essays in class IV students, to describe solutions to overcome difficulties in writing narrative essays in class IV students. This study used descriptive qualitative research subjects 22 students of class IV. The data collection techniques used in this study were documentation study guidelines and interview guidelines. The results of the study showed that fourth grade students had different abilities from one student to another. Based on the aspects contained in writing narrative essays, the highest student ability can be seen in the background aspect and the content of the idea. Aspects of plot, content organization, choice of words or diction and narrative text structure are sufficient aspects. While the character aspect as well as spelling and punctuation are the lowest aspects of students in writing narrative essays. Factors of student difficulty, namely the lack of motivation and understanding of students in writing narrative essays and less interesting learning. The solution that is applied to overcome the difficulties of writing narrative essays is to provide motivation about the importance of writing narrative essays and invite students to practice writing narrative essays properly and correctly and use teaching materials that have been made creatively for students to attract students' attention to be able to receive learning material well good

Listening is a daily activity that will be carried out by humans. Listening is so important for humans because humans cannot carry out verbal communication activities if they do not carry out listening activities. This research was motivated by problems in listening skills in class II elementary school students. This research is a qualitative descriptive study conducted in an elementary school in South Tangerang with a total of 15 students as subjects. This study aims to determine the ability to listen to short stories, the factors that cause difficulties in listening to short stories, and find out the solutions to improve the ability to listen to short stories in class II elementary school students. The instruments used in this study were tests on students, student interviews, and interviews with class II teachers. The results of this study indicate that the ability to listen to short stories for grade II elementary school students varies. Judging from the results of the study of 15 students, 3 students were categorized as good, 10 students were categorized as sufficient, and 2 students were categorized as lacking. Factors that influence the ability to listen to stories are psychological factors, environmental factors, and motivational factors. Efforts that can be made to improve the ability to listen to students' stories are using animated films as learning media, doing ice breking before learning begins, and arranging classrooms in such a way as to create a conducive classroom, as well as allowing students to get equal opportunities to listen and be listened to

The COVID-19 pandemic takes negative effect to Indonesian economy. Prospective teachers and teachers who are affected need to make efforts to improve the economy. One alternative that can be done is by doing entrepreneurship. Based on Kemenkopukm data (2015) the number of entrepreneurs in Indonesia is relatively low, at 1.65% of the total population. This figure is below the ASEAN average, which is at 4%. The results of a survey on students at UPI Purwakarta Campus 80% have problems in determining the products to be sold. MAKOTA (Connector & Strap Mask) can be one of the business ideas during the covid-19 pandemic. The online MAKOTA workshop was held on Wednesday, September 29, 2021. This activity was attended by 53 participants from various regions in West Java Province using the zoom meeting platform. The offline MAKOTA workshop was held on Friday, October 1, 2021, which was attended by 20 participants from various regions in West Java Province. After this service activity, participants can make connector and strap products. The techniques learned by the participants at the MAKOTA workshop can be applied to other accessories so that they can produce various products as entrepreneurial ideas. Participants can make attractive product photos to be marketed and sell products offline and online in marketplaces and social media such as Instagram and Facebook

Covid-19 changes human habits, especially the learning process. Teaching and learning activities that are usually carried out offline now must be conducted online. The research was motivated by the students' assumptions about mathematics which were considered difficult. Students felt overwhelmed when studying mathematics. When they faced math problems, students often did not have the confidence to solve them. The purpose of this study was to determine the increase in the students’ self-confidence through online learning by using CPA approach during the Covid-19 pandemic, in terms of overall and Initial Mathematical Ability (IMA). This research was a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design on Mathematics subjects on the topic of data collection and presentation at fifth-grade elementary schools. The sample consisted of 56 students at one of the elementary schools in Central Jakarta, Indonesia. The research instrument was a self-confidence attitude scale given before and after the treatment. The learning process was conducted online through WhatsApp Group, YouTube, and Google Form. The research findings showed that CPA approach increased students' self-confidence better than conventional learning, both as a whole and IMA. Thus, CPA approach could be used as an alternative to increase student self-confidence during the Covid-19 pandemic
