Microphase Seperation Depending on Different Parameters for Nanopatterned Devices

    Get PDF
We report a comparative study on microphase separation of a serial of block copolymers (BCPs) de-pending on some parameters such as solvent, annealing time. Toluene-Chlorobenzene mixtures show the best phase separation in comparison with other pristine or mixture of solvents. The results were optimized for large area studies. Real-time location systems selection by using a fuzzy MCDM approach: An application in humanitarian relief logistics

    No full text
The real-time location systems (RTLSs) with different positioning technologies allow real-time and high-precision localization of assets. Since the usage of RTLSs technologies and their population increase, RTLSs technology selection problem that addresses many factors should be considered. Therefore, it is important to determine the performance criteria and evaluation of these technologies should be investigated before RTLSs technology is applied to the system. This paper aims to select the most appropriate RTLSs technology by using a combined fuzzy based decision-making approach. Thus, the first paper for selection of RTLSs systems in a holistic approach by combining benefit and risk factors has been revealed. The developed approach is applied to humanitarian relief logistics warehouse with four alternatives which are given as Ultra-Wide Band, Wi-Fi, UHF RFID and Active RFID for the selection. The proposed approach has been integrated with interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy (IVIF) sets that allow to deal with fuzziness inherent in decision making processes. For this aim, firstly IVIF DEMATEL is used to determine the inner and outer dependencies of the sub and main criteria; secondly, weights of the sub-criteria are obtained by using IVIF ANP. Finally, the best RTLSs technology to be used in humanitarian logistics warehouse is selected by using IVIF TOPSIS. As a result of the calculations, the best system is determined as the Wi-Fi RTLS'' system based on the given context. By the way, a sensitivity analysis has been also implemented to test and validate the developed methodology. (C) 2020 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.WOS:0005372548000152-s2.0-8508375853

An echocardiographic clue for ostial left main coronary artery stenosis

    No full text
Calcified nodules in human coronary arteries are usually focally distributed. Non-invasive imaging of coronary arteries by bedside emergency transthoracic echocardiography in adults is possible and may become a useful adjunct to other methods of coronary artery examination. Coronary artery stenosis can be identified as localized color aliasing and accelerated flow velocities. Complete visualization of individual ostial coronary segments might ease the demonstration of coronary stenosis by bedside transthoracic echocardiography. The left main coronary artery stenosis requires prompt emergency evaluation and treatment because emergency conditions have higher mortality rates. The authors wish to emphasize the usefulness of emergency bedside echo-Doppler for a prompt diagnosis and treatment of this life-threatening condition

The importance of recognizing the prominent Eustachian valve in the evaluation of atrial septal defects before percutaneous or surgical closure

    No full text
Atrial septal defect closure is now routinely performed using a percutaneous approach under echocardiographic guidance. Since some echocardiographic features play an important role in the assessment of the defect and safety of the procedure, the salient features of the anatomical variations seen in adults undergoing transcatheter device closure should be well known to prevent inadvertent adverse effect or complications. It has been reported that the valve of the inferior vena cava, Eustachian valve, could be mistaken as the atrial septum thus ending in a wrong diagnosis and causing inadvertent surgical or percutaneous closure of an Eustachian valve to interatrial septum. We present a concise article that brings out a practical issue encountered during device closure of atrial septal defects
