    Pendidikan Nilai Kebangsaan Melalui Budaya Sekolah (Studi Fenomenologi di SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang dan SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta)

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) menginferensi makna fenomena bangunan kebangsaan yang akan ditanamkan pada siswa, (2) mendeskripsikan cara pengembangan budaya sekolah yang mendukung pendidikan nilai kebangsaan, (3) mendeskripsikan pola pendidikan nilai kebangsaan melalui budaya sekolah, kemudian (4) membandingkannya untuk memperoleh pola pendidikan nilai kebangsaan hasil sintesis dari pola pendidikan nilai kebangsaan melalui budaya sekolah di SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang dan SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Taruna Nusantara Magelang dan SMA Kolese De Britto Yogyakarta. Obyek penelitian adalah tempat, pelaku, serta aktivitas warga sekolah yang berkaitan dengan bangunan kebangsaan, budaya sekolah dan pola pendidikan nilai kebangsaan. Sedangkan subyek penelitian adalah pengurus sekolah, guru, siswa, karyawan dan orang tua. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Untuk memperoleh keabsahan data digunakan langkah-langkah teknik pemeriksaan credibility. Teknik analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif, meliputi: reduksi data, penyajian data dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini sebagai berikut: (1) Bangunan kebangsaan di SMA Taruna Nusantara menekankan pada persatuan-kesatuan dalam kemajemukan (Bhinneka Tunggal Ika), sedangkan SMA Kolese De Britto lebih fokus pada sikap kepedulian terhadap permasalahan bangsa. (2) Pengembangan budaya sekolah pada tataran spirit/nilai-nilai, tataran sosial dan tataran teknis mendukung terbangunnya karakter kebangsaan siswa baik di SMA Taruna Nusantara maupun SMA Kolese de Britto. (3) Pola pendidikan nilai-nilai kebangsaan dari segi kurikulum, kegiatan sekolah, keteladanan, serta lingkungan sekolah baik di SMA Taruna Nusantara maupun SMA Kolese De Britto mendukung pelaksanaan pendidikan nilai-nilai kebangsaan. (4) Ada perbedaan dan persamaan pola pendidikan nilai-nilai kebangsaan antara SMA Taruna Nusantara dengan SMA Kolese De Britto. Penggabungan kedisiplinan, Paradigma Pedagogi Ignasian, cura personalis dan pendidikan bebas akan meningkatkan penanaman nilai kebangsaan siswa tidak sekedar pada ranah kognitif tetapi sampai pada tataran perilaku kebangsaan

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) pengaruh penggunaan lift the flap story book berbasis ramah anak terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa kelas IV SD se-kecamatan Pleret Bantul; (2) pengaruh penggunaan lift the flap story book berbasis ramah anak terhadap self actualization siswa kelas IV SD se-kecamatan Pleret Bantul; (3) perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan lift the flap story book berbasis ramah anak terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan self actualization siswa kelas IV SD se-kecamatan Pleret Bantul. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen dengan desain Nonequivalent Comparison-Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN se-Kecamatan Pleret, Kabupaten Bantul, Yogyakarta. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan menggunakan teknik cluster sampling dengan kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol menggunakan kelas yang sudah ada sejak semula, sehingga diperoleh SDN Pungkuran dengan jumlah siswa kelas IV sebanyak 28 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 menggunakan lift the flap story book berbasis ramah anak, SDN Putren dengan jumlah siswa kelas IV sebanyak 28 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 menggunakan buku tematik terpadu Erlangga, dan SDN Kanggotan dengan jumlah siswa kelas IV sebanyak 28 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol menggunakan buku siswa kurikulum 2013. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tes kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan skala self actualization. Validasi yang digunakan berupa validasi konstruk yang didapat melalui expert judgment dan validasi empirik yang didapat melalui uji validasi menggunakan bivariate correlation. Hasil validasi menunjukkan bahwa instrumen valid dan reliabel. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji paired samples t-test, uji Multivariate Analysis of Variance, uji tukey, gain dan N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) lift the flap story book berbasis ramah anak berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif, dengan melihat hasil nilai Sig (2-tailed) yang berfungsi untuk menunjukkan hasil uji beda antara skor pretest dengan posttest, 0.000 < 0.005; (1) lift the flap story book berbasis ramah anak berpengaruh terhadap self actualization, dengan nilai Sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < 0.005; (3) terdapat perbedaan pengaruh antara penggunaan lift the flap story book berbasis ramah anak, buku tematik terpadu Erlangga, buku siswa kurikulum 2013 terhadap kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan self actualization, dengan nilai Sig. 0.000 < 0.005. Simpulan yang dihasilkan adalah lift the flap story book berbasis ramah anak lebih berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan rata-rata nilai kemampuan berpikir kreatif dan self actualization siswa kelas IV

    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan multimedia interaktif berbasis ramah anak yang layak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan karakter cinta tanah air siswa, (2) mengetahui tingkat efektifitas multimedia interaktif berbasis ramah anak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan karakter cinta tanah air siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R & D) yang mengacu pada model pengembangan milik Borg & Gall yang memiliki 10 langkah sebagai berikut: (1) penelitian pendahuluan dan pengumpulan informasi, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan produk awal, (4) uji coba lapangan awal, (5) revisi produk uji coba lapangan awal, (6) uji coba lapangan utama, (7) revisi produk uji coba lapangan utama, (8) uji coba lapangan operasional, (9) revisi produk lapangan operasional dan (10) diseminasi dan implementasi. Subjek uji coba lapangan awal terdiri dari 12 siswa, subjek uji coba lapangan utama terdiri dari 30 siswa dan subjek uji coba lapangan operasional terdiri dari 90 siswa yang terdiri dari kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data yang telah dilaksanakan menggunakan pedoman observasi, podoman wawancara, angket kebutuhan, lembar validasi penilaian produk, skala respon siswa, skala respon guru, soal tes pemahaman konsep dan skala penilaian karakter cinta tanah air. Analisis data yang dilakukan menggunakan independent sample t-test dan paired sample t-test dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05. Hasil penelitian berupa produk multimedia interaktif berbasis ramah anak oleh ahli bahwa multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan dinyatakan “layak” digunakan. Hasil respon siswa dan respon guru pada uji coba lapangan awal, uji coba lapangan utama dan uji coba lapangan operasional dinyatakan “layak”. Hasil uji-t diperoleh nilai sig (p) < 0,05 yang berarti bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan karakter cinta tanah air antara siswa yang melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan multimedia interaktif berbasis ramah anak dengan siswa yang tidak menggunakan.     Serum procalcitonin for the early recognition of nosocomial infection in the critically ill patients: a preliminary report

    <p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>The usefulness of procalcitonin (PCT) measurement in critically ill medical patients with suspected nosocomial infection is unclear. The aim of the study was to assess PCT value for the early diagnosis of bacterial nosocomial infection in selected critically ill patients.</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>An observational cohort study in a 15-bed intensive care unit was performed. Seventy patients with either proven (n = 47) or clinically suspected but not confirmed (n = 23) nosocomial infection were included. Procalcitonin measurements were obtained the day when the infection was suspected (D0) and at least one time within the 3 previous days (D-3 to D0). Patients with proven infection were compared to those without. The diagnostic value of PCT on D0 was determined through the construction of the corresponding receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve. In addition, the predictive value of PCT variations preceding the clinical suspicion of infection was assessed.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>PCT on D0 was the best predictor of proven infection in this population of ICU patients with a clinical suspicion of infection (AUROCC = 0.80; 95% CI, 0.68–0.91). Thus, a cut-off value of 0.44 ng/mL provides sensitivity and specificity of 65.2% and 83.0%, respectively. Procalcitonin variation between D-1 and D0 was calculated in 45 patients and was also found to be predictive of nosocomial infection (AUROCC = 0.89; 95% CI, 0.79–0.98) with a 100% positive predictive value if the +0.26 ng/mL threshold value was applied. Comparable results were obtained when PCT variation between D-2 and D0, or D-3 and D0 were considered. In contrast, CRP elevation, leukocyte count and fever had a poor predictive value in our population.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>PCT monitoring could be helpful in the early diagnosis of nosocomial infection in the ICU. Both absolute values and variations should be considered and evaluated in further studies.</p

    Strange Attractors in Dissipative Nambu Mechanics : Classical and Quantum Aspects

    We extend the framework of Nambu-Hamiltonian Mechanics to include dissipation in R3R^{3} phase space. We demonstrate that it accommodates the phase space dynamics of low dimensional dissipative systems such as the much studied Lorenz and R\"{o}ssler Strange attractors, as well as the more recent constructions of Chen and Leipnik-Newton. The rotational, volume preserving part of the flow preserves in time a family of two intersecting surfaces, the so called {\em Nambu Hamiltonians}. They foliate the entire phase space and are, in turn, deformed in time by Dissipation which represents their irrotational part of the flow. It is given by the gradient of a scalar function and is responsible for the emergence of the Strange Attractors. Based on our recent work on Quantum Nambu Mechanics, we provide an explicit quantization of the Lorenz attractor through the introduction of Non-commutative phase space coordinates as Hermitian N×N N \times N matrices in R3 R^{3}. They satisfy the commutation relations induced by one of the two Nambu Hamiltonians, the second one generating a unique time evolution. Dissipation is incorporated quantum mechanically in a self-consistent way having the correct classical limit without the introduction of external degrees of freedom. Due to its volume phase space contraction it violates the quantum commutation relations. We demonstrate that the Heisenberg-Nambu evolution equations for the Quantum Lorenz system give rise to an attracting ellipsoid in the 3N23 N^{2} dimensional phase space.Comment: 35 pages, 4 figures, LaTe

    The 2021 WHO catalogue of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex mutations associated with drug resistance: a genotypic analysis.

    Background: Molecular diagnostics are considered the most promising route to achievement of rapid, universal drug susceptibility testing for Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex (MTBC). We aimed to generate a WHO-endorsed catalogue of mutations to serve as a global standard for interpreting molecular information for drug resistance prediction. Methods: In this systematic analysis, we used a candidate gene approach to identify mutations associated with resistance or consistent with susceptibility for 13 WHO-endorsed antituberculosis drugs. We collected existing worldwide MTBC whole-genome sequencing data and phenotypic data from academic groups and consortia, reference laboratories, public health organisations, and published literature. We categorised phenotypes as follows: methods and critical concentrations currently endorsed by WHO (category 1); critical concentrations previously endorsed by WHO for those methods (category 2); methods or critical concentrations not currently endorsed by WHO (category 3). For each mutation, we used a contingency table of binary phenotypes and presence or absence of the mutation to compute positive predictive value, and we used Fisher's exact tests to generate odds ratios and Benjamini-Hochberg corrected p values. Mutations were graded as associated with resistance if present in at least five isolates, if the odds ratio was more than 1 with a statistically significant corrected p value, and if the lower bound of the 95% CI on the positive predictive value for phenotypic resistance was greater than 25%. A series of expert rules were applied for final confidence grading of each mutation. Findings: We analysed 41 137 MTBC isolates with phenotypic and whole-genome sequencing data from 45 countries. 38 215 MTBC isolates passed quality control steps and were included in the final analysis. 15 667 associations were computed for 13 211 unique mutations linked to one or more drugs. 1149 (7·3%) of 15 667 mutations were classified as associated with phenotypic resistance and 107 (0·7%) were deemed consistent with susceptibility. For rifampicin, isoniazid, ethambutol, fluoroquinolones, and streptomycin, the mutations' pooled sensitivity was more than 80%. Specificity was over 95% for all drugs except ethionamide (91·4%), moxifloxacin (91·6%) and ethambutol (93·3%). Only two resistance mutations were identified for bedaquiline, delamanid, clofazimine, and linezolid as prevalence of phenotypic resistance was low for these drugs. Interpretation: We present the first WHO-endorsed catalogue of molecular targets for MTBC drug susceptibility testing, which is intended to provide a global standard for resistance interpretation. The existence of this catalogue should encourage the implementation of molecular diagnostics by national tuberculosis programmes.
