    Triterpenoid β-Amirin dari Kulit Batang Garcinia Bancana Miq.

    Satu senyawa triterpenoid telah diisolasi dari ekstrak kulit batang tumbuhan Garcinia bancana Miq. Senyawa ini dipisahkan menggunakan berbagai teknik kromatografi dan pemurnian dengan rekristalisasi. Struktur molekul senyawa tersebut ditetapkan berdasarkan analisis data spektroskopi UV, IR, dan NMR 1-D dan dengan membandingkan data spektroskopi tersebut dengan yang dilaporkan dalam literatur. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data-data spektroskopi tersebut maka disimpulkan senyawa isolasi adalah β-amirin. Penemuan senyawa ini telah memberikan informasi penting untuk studi kandungan kimia dan aktivitas biologis dari genus Garcinia berdasarkan pendekatan taksonomi

    A room or a house is modified by setting a stack (chimney) to take the advantage of the phenomenon of stack effect. This stack is useful for air circulation so that the room become comfortable. The difference of colour on the outside wall of the house will also affect the room temperature because the stored thermal energy in the house will be different. The darker house wall will keep more thermal energy than the brighter. Meanwhile, the house that uses exhaust fan will keep less thermal energy than a house that did not use any exhaust fan. The high of required stack effect phenomenon can be calculated based on the stored thermal energy of the room. In the miniature house using exhaust fans, the chimneys or towers should be put at the 0.55-meter-high roof to a house without a paint, 0.35 meter for the white-painted house, 0.55 meter for the gray painted house, and 0.36 meter for the yellow-painted house. While for house miniature without exhaust fan (naturally), chimney should be placed to the 0.86-meter-high roof for the house without paint, 0.74 meter for the white-painted house, 0.85 meter for the gray painted house, and 0.75 meter for the yellow-painted house

    Exploration of bioactive compound were continuously done as more new diseases appearing, from infection, cancer, and other degenerative diseases. The invention of new antibiotic compound and antioxidant compound is very needed to solve this problem. Endophytic microbes are microbes which lives in plant's culture and produce the active secondary metabolite. In previous research, 2 compounds from endofitic microbes Penicillium sp in kunyit putih had been successfully isolated and identified as di-(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate and pyranon derivated as 5 (4'-ethoxy-2'-hydroxy-5'-methyl-2',3'-dihydrofuran-3'-il (hydroxy) methyl-4-isopropyl-3-methyl-2-pyran-2-on). The goal of this research is to test antibacterial and antioxidant activitiy from derivate pyranon, which is resulting from endofitic microbes Penicillium sp in kunyit putih (Curcuma zeodaria). The method used to test the antibacterial activity is dic diffusion, using E. Coli, S. Dysenteriae, S. Aureus, and B. Subtilis. with variation of concentrations 250, 500, 1000, dan 2000μg/mL, and to test the antioxidant activity used 1,1-diphenyl-2- picrylhydrazyl ( DPPH) method with variation of concentrations 1000, 500, 250, 125, 62.5, 31.25, 15.625, and 7.8125 µg/mL. The research shown that the antibacterial activity is strongest at S. aureus with 11mm-blocked-zone at 250µg/mL concentration. Pyranon derivate also has active antioxidant manner with IC5016.05µg/mL

    Gambaran Pengetahuan dan Sikap Ibu Tentang Pelaksanaan Toilet Training pada Anak Usia 1-3 Tahun di Wilayah Kerja Posyandu Desa Kubang Jaya Kabupaten Kampar

    Toilet training is a technique for teaching children to defecate and urinate in the toilet. Mother's knowledge and attitude plays an important role in the implementation of toilet training. This study was conducted to know the mother's knowledge and attitude about the implementation of toilet training toward the children ages 1-3 years old in the area of Posyandu Kubang Jaya village Kampar District. This study was conducted in the area of Posyandu Kubang Jaya village Kampar District. The design research of this study is a descriptive cross-sectional approach. The sample of this study were the mothers of 1-3 years old children. The minimum number of samples required were 79 mothers. The data was taken from interviews and questionnaires. Based on the result of this study, it shows that the most knowledge, attitude and the implementation of toilet training is in the sufficient category (76%), neutral (60.8%) and most of mothers (79.8%) have conducted toilet training. Age <18 months is the most age where the toilet training is implemented (61.9%). The most mothers who have do the toilet training are the mothers in the age of 20-35 years old (68.4%), high school educated mothers (45.6%), housewife (69.6%) and mothers with children(≤2 child) 45.6%. Female babies (45.6%) are the most numerous who have conducted toilet training. Mothers who have conducted toilet training mostly have sufficient knowledge (60.8%) and neutral (49.4%)

    Senyawa N-2141-dimetil pentan-20-aminopregn-5-ene-3-ol diisolasi dari fraksi heksan kulit akar Rhizophora apiculata Blum melalui teknik-teknik kromatografi kolom. Uji aktivitas antibakteri senyawa ini dilakukan dengan penentuan harga konsentrasi hambat minimum (MIC) menggunakan metoda dilusi kaldu. Diperoleh harga MIC 370 mg/ml terhadap Escherichia coli dan 440 mg/ml terhadap Bacillus subtilis
