THE PROCESS OF REGIONALIZATION OF ROMANIA IN THE INTERWAR PERIOD - THE FIRST LEGISLATIVE STEPS

The interwar period defined the reform of the Romanian regionalization on the background of the Great Union. This materialized in the form of a process of integration, of uniformity of the structures of the Old Kingdom, taking into account the specifics of each province. At the same time, the process was one of recovering the advance of the West, of integrating in a new stage of the Romanian state. Even if the projects created at that time aimed to form a construct of efficient territorial organization and applicable to the current reality of the interwar period, in the end it proved to be deeply influenced and organized against the problem of territorial unity

Vitamin E in Hemodialysis Patients

End-stage renal disease patients treated with hemodialysis are characterized by a special diet, increased oxidative stress, cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, as well as many other complications such as inflammation-malnutrition syndrome, muscle cramps, and anemia. Worldwide efforts are focused on reducing hemodialysis complications to increase survival in these patients. In vitro and in vivo studies proved that vitamin E has many beneficial effects such as: decreases reactive oxygen species synthesis, improves antioxidant defense system, inhibits lipids peroxidation and reduces atherosclerosis, and ameliorates anemia treatment. Mechanisms of action are complex and not fully understood. However, there are particularities in regards of vitamin E intake, metabolism, and clearance in patients treated with hemodialysis. Supplementation of vitamin E in these patients has been intensively studied, and it is still under debate. Oral administration and vitamin E-coated membranes for dialysis have been tried. Clinical practice guidelines tried to underline when and how much vitamin E to be given to be safe and cost-beneficial. The current chapter aims to synthesize all these issues

On some classes of formulas in S5 which are pre-complete relative to existential expressibility

Existential expressibility for all $k$-valued functions was proposed by A.~V. Kuz\-ne\-tsov and later was investigated in more details by S.~S.~Mar\-chen\-kov. In the present paper, we consider existential expressibility in the case of formulas defined by a logical calculus and find out some conditions for a system of formulas to be closed relative to existential expressibility. As a consequence, it has been established some pre-complete as to existential expressibility classes of formulas in some finite extensions of the paraconsistent modal logic $S5$
