Backbending phenomena in light nuclei at A~60 mass region

Recent studies of the backbending phenomenon in medium light weight nuclei near A~60 expanded greatly our interest about how the single particle orbits are nonlinearly affected by the collective motion. As a consequence we have applied a modi…ed version of the exponential model with the inclusion of paring correlation to describe the energy spectra of the ground state bands and/or the backbending phenomenon in mass region at A~60. A firm conclusion is obtained concerning the successful validity of the proposed modified model in describing the backbending phenomenon in this region. Comparison with different theoretical descriptions is discussed.Comment: 4 pages, 1 figure

ABSTRACT High density glass samples with a chemical formula of xBi 2 O 3 -30SiO 2 -10B 2 O 3 -20BaO-(40−x)ZnO (where x= 0, 10, 20, 30, and 40 mol %) were prepared using the melt-quenching technique in order to design a new transparently shielding materials for many fields of applications. The amorphous state of the samples was examined using X-ray diffraction technique at room temperature. The effect of bismuth on the structural properties of the studied glasses was characterized through density and its derivative parameters. Before measuring the attenuation capability, the optical transparently for visible light were tested using the transmittance spectra measurements in the UV-Visible region. Optical parameters such as optical band gap, Urbach energy, and refractive index were evaluated from the optical data. The Gamma ray attenuation coefficients of the glass samples were performed at gamma ray energies 238.63, 338.28, 583.19, 911.20, 968.97, 1173.23, 1332.49, and 2614.51 Co radioactive sources. The transmitted gamma rays were detected using Hyper Pure Germanium detector (HPGe) under good geometry conditions. The Linear attenuation coefficients were deduced from the attenuation curves and then the mass attenuation coefficients and the half value layer were estimated. Theoretical mass attenuation coefficients were calculated using WinXCom program (version 3.1). A good correlation was observed between the experimentally determined and those computed theoretically of the mass attenuation coefficients

The gamma-spectrum of '"Np following the <X -decay of "'Am has been studied using hyper pure Ge-detector and Ge-NaI(Tl) coincidence spectrometer. Some recently reported weak gamma transitions are confirmed, besides two previously unreported transitions at 840.1 and 904.2 keV are identified and fitted in the level scheme. A level at 946.0 keV is established and three previously unreported levels at 840.0, 904.0 and 930.0 keV are proposed.

Experimental investigation and theoretical calculation for 3He induced nuclear reactions on vanadium

Using stacked-foil activation technique and gamma-ray spectrometry, excitation functions for 3He induced nuclear reactions on natV were measured. Cross-sections for natV(3He,xn)52m,gMn and natV(3He,pxn)51Cr nuclear reactions were measured up to 27 MeV utilizing the MGC-20E cyclotron of ATOMKI. The measurements establish for the first time consistent excitation curves. Comparisons with results for values derived from different theoretical codes were included. Integral yield were calculated

Excitation functions of 3He-particle induced nuclear reactions on natural cadmium were measured using the standard stacked foil technique and high resolution gamma-ray spectroscopy. From their threshold energies up to 27 MeV, cross-sections for natCd(3He,xn)117m,113,111,110Sn, natCd(3He,xnp)117m,g,116m,115m,114m,113m,111,110m,g,109,108,107In, and natCd(3He,X)115g,111mCd reactions were measured. The nuclear codes TALYS, and EMPIRE-3,1 were used to describe the formation of these products. The present data were compared to theoretical results and to the available experimental data. Integral yields for some important radioisotopes were determined

Excitation functions of 3He induced nuclear reactions on natSn were measured up to 26 MeV using the stacked-foil technique, utilizing the MGC-20E cyclotron of ATOMKI. Using HPGe detector the following radioisotopes were identified: 116,117,118,119g,119m,121g,121m,123mTe, 115g,116m,117,118m,120m,122g,124gSb and 113g,117mSn. The experimental results are presented for the first time in this energy range. The results of theoretical calculations based on EMPIRE and TENDL library were compared with the present data. Integral yields for some isotopes were calculated

Excitation functions for α-induced reactions on natural vanadium were measured in the energy range up to 20 MeV. The stacked-foil activation technique was used. The experimental results were compared with the theoretical calculations using EMPIRE-3.1, EMPIRE-3.2.2 and TENDL 2015, and with earlier experimental results. Thick target yields were calculated for the production of 54Mn and for the associated impurity 52M
