Superconducting Coherent States for an Extended Hubbard Model
An extended Hubbard model with phonons is considered. q-coherent states
relative to the superconducting quantum symmetry of the model are constructed
and their properties studied. It is shown that they can have energy expectation
lower than eigenstates constructed via conventional processes and that they
exhibit ODLRO.Comment: 7 pages, 3 figure
Coherent state quantization of paragrassmann algebras
By using a coherent state quantization of paragrassmann variables, operators
are constructed in finite Hilbert spaces. We thus obtain in a straightforward
way a matrix representation of the paragrassmann algebra. This algebra of
finite matrices realizes a deformed Weyl-Heisenberg algebra. The study of mean
values in coherent states of some of these operators lead to interesting
conclusions.Comment: We provide an erratum where we improve upon our previous definition
of odd paragrassmann algebra
Agile Vs Waterfall as an approach for effective management practices in Fit Out projects (Preferences of Project Managers)
Optimum time, cost & quality are the key objectives in managing fit-out projects. Waterfall and Agile are the most common approaches for achieving the project objectives. To determine the optimal managerial approach for fit-out projects, it was essential to study the project life cycle & phases, waterfall & agile methodologies & phases and the project management performance indicators. To achieve the research goals, a data gathering/analysis performed among three steps. Firstly, by performing qualitative research through semi-structured interviews with project management experts to verify the research hypothesis. Secondly, through studying the project & project management life cycle, phases and characteristics in addition to reviewing the key evaluation indicators. And finally, through the analytical approach by distributing a designed survey to experts and analyze the results followed by a convenient conclusion & discussion for the scientific contribution that can assist the experts in determining the optimal approach for managing fit-out projects
Hepatocyte Lysosomal Membrane Stabilization by Olive Leaves against Chemically Induced Hepatocellular Neoplasia in Rats
Extensive efforts are exerted looking for safe and effective chemotherapy for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Specific and sensitive early biomarkers for HCC still in query. Present work to study proteolytic activity and lysosomal membrane integrity by hepatocarcinogen, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), in Wistar rats against aqueous olive leaf extract (AOLE).TCA showed neoplastic changes as oval- or irregular-shaped hepatocytes and transformed, vesiculated, and binucleated liver cells. The nuclei were pleomorphic and hyperchromatic. These changes were considerably reduced by AOLE. The results added, probably for the first time, that TCA-induced HCC through disruption of hepatocellular proteolytic enzymes as upregulation of papain, free cathepsin-D and nonsignificant destabilization of lysosomal membrane integrity, a prerequisite for cancer invasion and metastasis. AOLE introduced a promising therapeutic value in liver cancer, mostly through elevating lysosomal membrane integrity. The study substantiated four main points: (1) the usefulness of proteolysis and lysosomalmembrane integrity in early prediction of HCC. (2) TCA carcinogenesis is possibly mediated by lysosomal membrane destabilization, through cathepsin-D disruption, which could be reversed by AOLE administration. (3) A new strategy for management of HCC, using dietary olive leaf system may be a helpful phytotherapeutic trend. (4) A prospective study on serum proteolytic enzyme activity may introduce novel diagnostic tools
Z3-graded Grassmann Variables, Parafermions and their Coherent States
A relation between the -graded Grassmann variables and parafermions is
established. Coherent states are constructed as a direct consequence of such a
relationship. We also give the analog of the Bargmann-Fock representation in
terms of these Grassmann variables.Comment: 8 page
Quantum Correlations Dynamics In Two Coupled Semiconductor InAs Quantum Dots
We investigate the dynamics of quantum discord and concurrence between two
excitonic qubits placed inside two coupled semiconductor quantum dots
independently interacting with dephasing reservoirs. We explore their behavior
against the dimensionless time and the temperature in both Markovian and
non-Markovian environments. Moreover, we analyze the external electric field
effects and the F\"orster interaction effects on these correlations. We show
that, although the quantum correlations amount is strongly influenced by the
variation of the electric field and the F\"orster interaction, their
non-Markovian behavior is still preserved under the variation of these two
parameters. Furthermore, we show that for large values of temperature and
dimensionless time, unlike concurrence which vanishes, nonzero discord can
still be observed.Comment: 15 pages, 12 figure
