Minimal Gauge Invariant Classes of Tree Diagrams in Gauge Theories
We describe the explicit construction of groves, the smallest gauge invariant
classes of tree Feynman diagrams in gauge theories. The construction is valid
for gauge theories with any number of group factors which may be mixed. It
requires no summation over a complete gauge group multiplet of external matter
fields. The method is therefore suitable for defining gauge invariant classes
of Feynman diagrams for processes with many observed final state particles in

Energy scales in a stabilized brane world
Brane world gravity looks different for observers on positive and negative
tension branes. First we consider the well-known RS1 model with two branes
embedded into the AdS_5 space-time and recall the results on the relations
between the energy scales for an observer on the negative tension brane, which
is supposed to be "our" brane. Then from the point of view of this observer we
study energy scales and masses for the radion and graviton excitations in a
stabilized brane world model. We argue that there may be several possibilities
leading to scales of the order 1-10 TeV or even less for new physics effects on
our brane. In particular, an interesting scenario can arise in the case of a
"symmetric" brane world with a nontrivial warp factor in the bulk, which

Effective Lagrangians for physical degrees of freedom in the Randall-Sundrum model
We derive the second variation Lagrangian of the Randall-Sundrum model with
two branes, study its gauge invariance and diagonalize it in the unitary gauge.
We also show that the effective four-dimensional theory looks different on
different branes and calculate the observable mass spectra and the couplings of

Physical degrees of freedom in stabilized brane world models
We consider brane world models with interbrane separation stabilized by the
Goldberger-Wise scalar field. For arbitrary background, or vacuum
configurations of the gravitational and scalar fields in such models, we
construct the second variation Lagrangian, study its gauge invariance, find the
corresponding equations of motion and decouple them in a suitable gauge. We
also derive an effective four-dimensional Lagrangian for such models, which
describes the massless graviton, a tower of massive gravitons and a tower of
massive scalars. It is shown that for a special choice of the background
solution the masses of the graviton excitations may be of the order of a few
TeV, the radion mass of the order of 100 GeV, the inverse size of the extra
dimension being tens of GeV. In this case the coupling of the radion to matter
on the negative tension brane is approximately the same as in the unstabilized
model with the same values of the fundamental five-dimensional energy scale and

Supracervical hysterectomy versus total abdominal hysterectomy: perceived effects on sexual function
BACKGROUND: Our investigation sought to compare changes in sexual function following supracervical hysterectomy (SCH) and total abdominal hysterectomy (TAH). METHODS: A retrospective chart review was performed to identify all patients who underwent supracervical hysterectomy or total abdominal hysterectomy at a tertiary care center. Patients who met criteria for participation were sent a one page confidential, anonymous questionnaire to assess sexual function experienced both pre- and postoperatively. A total of 69 patients in each group were eligible for participation. A multiple logistic regression model was used to analyze measured variables. RESULTS: Forty-eight percent (n = 33) of women undergoing a SCH returned the questionnaire, while 39% (n = 27) of those undergoing a TAH chose to participate. There were no significant demographic differences between the two groups. Patients who underwent TAH reported worse postoperative sexual outcome than SCH patients with respect to intercourse frequency, orgasm frequency and overall sexual satisfaction (P = 0.01, 0.03, and 0.03, respectively). Irrespective of type of hysterectomy, 35% of patients who underwent bilateral salpingoophorectomy (BSO) with hysterectomy experienced worse overall sexual satisfaction compared to 3% of patients who underwent hysterectomy alone (P = 0.02). CONCLUSIONS: Our data suggest that TAH patients experienced worse postoperative sexual function than SCH patients with respect to intercourse frequency and overall sexual satisfaction. Combined Forward-Backward Asymmetry Measurements in Top-Antitop Quark Production at the Tevatron
The CDF and D0 experiments at the Fermilab Tevatron have measured the asymmetry between yields of forward- and backward-produced top and antitop quarks based on their rapidity difference and the asymmetry between their decay leptons. These measurements use the full data sets collected in proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of TeV. We report the results of combinations of the inclusive asymmetries and their differential dependencies on relevant kinematic quantities. The combined inclusive asymmetry is .
