Interactions of the solar neutrinos with the deuterons
Starting from chiral Lagrangians, possessing the SU(2)_L x SU(2)_R local
chiral symmetry, we derive weak axial one-boson exchange currents in the
leading order in the 1/M expansion (M is the nucleon mass). We apply these
currents in calculations of the cross sections for the disintegration of the
deuterons by the low energy neutrinos. The nuclear wave functions are derived
from a variant of the OBEPQB potential and from the Nijmegen 93 and Nijmegen I
nucleon-nucleon interactions. The comparison of our cross sections with those
obtained within the pionless effective field theory and other potential model
calculations shows that the solar neutrino-deuteron cross sections can be

Model dependence of the neutrino-deuteron disintegration cross sections at low energies
Model dependence of the reaction rates for the weak breakup of deuterons by
low energy neutrinos is studied starting from the cross sections derived from
potential models and also from pionless effective field theory. Choosing the
spread of the reaction yields, caused basically by the different ways the
two-body currents are treated, as a measure of the model dependent uncertainty,
we conclude that the breakup reactions are 2 - 3 % uncertain, and that
even the ratio of the charged to neutral current reaction rates is also

The role of the pion pair term in the theory of the weak axial meson exchange currents
The structure of the weak axial pion exchange current is discussed in various
models. It is shown how the interplay of the chiral invariance and the double
counting problem restricts uniquely the form of the pion potential term, in the
case when the nuclear dynamics is described by the Schroedinger equation with

Circular economy and corporate social responsibility in the agricultural system: Cases study of the Italian agri-food industry
The persistent exploitation of natural resources and the consequent use of consumption are driving global food demand with the result that agricultural activity is becoming less and less environmentally friendly. The circular economy (CE) can become a valid alternative, inserting the economic-agricultural system into the harmonic process of material circulation. The corporate social responsibility (CSR) model is particularly interesting not only because of the ethical dimension of the company but also as a factor of strategic business improvement that combines the concepts of CSR and CE as possible solutions for developing sustainable business processes. The objective of the work is to highlight a detailed framework of how the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) of the Italian agri-food industry can provide an ade-quate level of communication, circular strategies and social responsibility practices. The research methodology is based on a qualitative multiple study conducted on a sample of nine companies in the Italian territory. The study highlights the attention of companies on the issues of the CE for the achievement of the set sustainable objectives and the attention to CSR and CE practices. The work has several implications. It provides a further understanding of CSR and CE policies as enabling factors for the development of sustainable organizational performance in agriculture. Moreover, it better investigates the relationship between CSR and the CE. Finally, it analyses the SMEs state of the art in the CE field and strengthens the concept of CE by analysing corporate practices consistent with sustainability reports
growth performance and stress response of common sole subjected to varying stocking densities and rearing temperatures
AbstractEarlier short-term studies have shown productivity of intensively farmed common sole (S. solea) to be closely dependent on rearing density. Irrespective of fish size, elevating crowding conditions led to declining growth rates while the effect of density on mortality remains controversial. To what extent water temperature could affect productivity of growing sole subjected to varying crowding conditions, warrants investigation as very few studies have tried to quantify the effects of this fundamental rearing parameter on growth and survival in this fish species. This is particularly crucial for developing suitable farming protocols in Italy, where common sole may experience a broad range of water temperatures throughout the rearing cycle. The aim of this study was to evaluate productivity and blood cortisol level as a measure of stress response, in growing sole subjected to different stocking densities and temperature conditions. Deuteron Electroweak Disintegration
We study the deuteron electrodisintegration with inclusion of the neutral
currents focusing on the helicity asymmetry of the exclusive cross section in
coplanar geometry. We stress that a measurement of this asymmetry in the quasi
elastic region is of interest for an experimental determination of the weak
form factors of the nucleon, allowing one to obtain the parity violating
electron neutron asymmetry. Numerically, we consider the reaction at low
momentum transfer and discuss the sensitivity of the helicity asymmetry to the
strangeness radius and magnetic moment. The problems coming from the finite

Low-scale inflation in a model of dark energy and dark matter
We present a complete particle physics model that explains three major
problems of modern cosmology: inflation, dark matter and dark energy, and also
gives a mechanism for leptogenesis. The model has a new gauge group
that grows strong at a scale eV. We focus on the
inflationary aspects of the model. Inflation occurs with a Coleman-Weinberg
potential at a low scale, down to \sim 6\times 10^5\gev, being compatible
