Modular Open-Source Software for Item Factor Analysis
This article introduces an item factor analysis (IFA) module for OpenMx, a free, open-source, and modular statistical modeling package that runs within the R programming environment on GNU/Linux, Mac OS X, and Microsoft Windows. The IFA module offers a novel model specification language that is well suited to programmatic generation and manipulation of models. Modular organization of the source code facilitates the easy addition of item models, item parameter estimation algorithms, optimizers, test scoring algorithms, and fit diagnostics all within an integrated framework. Three short example scripts are presented for fitting item parameters, latent distribution parameters, and a multiple group model. The availability of both IFA and structural equation modeling in the same software is a step toward the unification of these two methodologies.Yeshttps://us.sagepub.com/en-us/nam/manuscript-submission-guideline
Hawking Radiation of Dirac Particles in an Arbitrarily Accelerating Kinnersley Black Hole
Quantum thermal effect of Dirac particles in an arbitrarily accelerating
Kinnersley black hole is investigated by using the method of generalized
tortoise coordinate transformation. Both the location and the temperature of
the event horizon depend on the advanced time and the angles. The Hawking
thermal radiation spectrum of Dirac particles contains a new term which
represents the interaction between particles with spin and black holes with
acceleration. This spin-acceleration coupling effect is absent from the thermal
radiation spectrum of scalar particles.Comment: Revtex, 12pt, 16 pages, no figure, to appear in Gen. Rel. Grav. 34

More on QCD Ghost Dark Energy
The difference between vacuum energy of quantum fields in Minkowski space and
in Friedmann-Robterson-Walker universe might be related to the observed dark
energy. The vacuum energy of the Veneziano ghost field introduced to solve the
problem in QCD is of the form, . Based on this, we
study the dynamical evolution of a phenomenological dark energy model whose
energy density is of the form . In this model, the universe
approaches to a de Sitter phase at late times. We fit the model with current
observational data including SnIa, BAO, CMB, BBN, Hubble parameter and growth
rate of matter perturbation. It shows that the universe begins to accelerate at
redshift and this model is consistent with current data. In
particular, this model fits the data of growth factor well as the
model.Comment: 14 pages, 4 figures, 2 table
Entanglement Entropy and Wilson Loop in St\"{u}ckelberg Holographic Insulator/Superconductor Model
We study the behaviors of entanglement entropy and vacuum expectation value
of Wilson loop in the St\"{u}ckelberg holographic insulator/superconductor
model. This model has rich phase structures depending on model parameters. Both
the entanglement entropy for a strip geometry and the heavy quark potential
from the Wilson loop show that there exists a "confinement/deconfinement" phase
transition. In addition, we find that the non-monotonic behavior of the
entanglement entropy with respect to chemical potential is universal in this
model. The pseudo potential from the spatial Wilson loop also has a similar
non-monotonic behavior. It turns out that the entanglement entropy and Wilson
loop are good probes to study the properties of the holographic superconductor
phase transition.Comment: 23 pages,12 figures. v2: typos corrected, accepted in JHE

Ultrahigh power and energy density in partially ordered lithium-ion cathode materials
The rapid market growth of rechargeable batteries requires electrode materials that combine high power and energy and are made from earth-abundant elements. Here we show that combining a partial spinel-like cation order and substantial lithium excess enables both dense and fast energy storage. Cation overstoichiometry and the resulting partial order is used to eliminate the phase transitions typical of ordered spinels and enable a larger practical capacity, while lithium excess is synergistically used with fluorine substitution to create a high lithium mobility. With this strategy, we achieved specific energies greater than 1,100 Wh kg–1 and discharge rates up to 20 A g–1. Remarkably, the cathode materials thus obtained from inexpensive manganese present a rare case wherein an excellent rate capability coexists with a reversible oxygen redox activity. Our work shows the potential for designing cathode materials in the vast space between fully ordered and disordered compounds
Observational hints on the Big Bounce
In this paper we study possible observational consequences of the bouncing
cosmology. We consider a model where a phase of inflation is preceded by a
cosmic bounce. While we consider in this paper only that the bounce is due to
loop quantum gravity, most of the results presented here can be applied for
different bouncing cosmologies. We concentrate on the scenario where the scalar
field, as the result of contraction of the universe, is driven from the bottom
of the potential well. The field is amplified, and finally the phase of the
standard slow-roll inflation is realized. Such an evolution modifies the
standard inflationary spectrum of perturbations by the additional oscillations
and damping on the large scales. We extract the parameters of the model from
the observations of the cosmic microwave background radiation. In particular,
the value of inflaton mass is equal to GeV. In
our considerations we base on the seven years of observations made by the WMAP
satellite. We propose the new observational consistency check for the phase of
slow-roll inflation. We investigate the conditions which have to be fulfilled
to make the observations of the Big Bounce effects possible. We translate them
to the requirements on the parameters of the model and then put the
observational constraints on the model. Based on assumption usually made in
loop quantum cosmology, the Barbero-Immirzi parameter was shown to be
constrained by from the cosmological observations. We have
compared the Big Bounce model with the standard Big Bang scenario and showed
that the present observational data is not informative enough to distinguish
these models.Comment: 25 pages, 8 figures, JHEP3.cl
A study on the interacting Ricci dark energy in gravity
The present work reports study on the interacting Ricci dark energy in a
modified gravity theory named gravity. The specific model (proposed by R. Myrzakulov, arXiv:1205.5266v2) is considered here. For
this model we have observed a quintom-like behavior of the equation of state
(EoS) parameter and a transition from matter dominated to dark energy density
has been observed through fraction density evolution. The statefinder
parameters reveal that the model interpolates between dust and CDM
phases of the universe.Comment: 12 pages, 5 figure
