Sustainable development of a coal-mining region: technological and ecological aspects
Objective: to consider sustainable development of a region with mining as predominant economic activity through the prism of the relationship between technological and environmental aspects; to determine the impact of technological development of the coal-mining region on its sustainable development.Methods: the methods of statistical observation, summarizing and grouping of statistical observation materials, the method of analogy, as well as analytical and synthetic methods of analysis were used.Results: the level of technological development and environmental safety has a significant impact on almost all spheres of life, especially in the regions where economic growth is based on mining enterprises. In these conditions, it is of particular importance to assess the relationship between the development of the region specializing in mining, and the level of its technological and environmental development. To this end, on the basis of statistical data, the article assesses the state of technical, technological and environmental components of the coal-mining region (by the example of Kemerovo region), determines their role in improving regional competitiveness and ensuring sustainable development. The specific features and problems of coal industry technologization are revealed, the prospects of its development are determined, the experience of foreign countries is considered. It is established that the technical and technological state of the raw materials sector of Kemerovo region is a threat to regional sustainable development and does not contribute to the increase of its competitive advantages. Among the factors constraining the development of the technical and technological sphere and, as a consequence, the increase in environmental safety, are: high technological inertia of mining enterprises, low-efficiency owner, significant dependence on imports of production means, detachment of the state from the processes of withdrawal and redistribution of raw materials rent.Scientific novelty: increasing the technological level of coal industry through the creation and use of safe, environmentally friendly technologies designed to minimize environmental harm is recognized as the basis for sustainable development of a coal-mining region.Practical significance: the main provisions and conclusions can be used in the development of regional scientific, technical and environmental policies and programs of socio-economic development of territories

Specific conditions of development of the creative potential of the student in teaching humanitarian disciplines
This article deals with the problem of specific conditions of the studentβs creative potential development in teaching humanitarian discipline. Necessity of the development of the studentβscreative potential in teaching humanitarian disciplines is proved. Particular attention is paid to the group of conditions under which the development of creative potential of students will be effective. These groups of conditions exist in a kind of interpenetration, in which each of the subsequent groups is an organic component of the previous group, and, as a result, there is a kind of hierarchy of pedagogical conditions, one way or another affecting the effectiveness of the development of creative potential. A formative experiment was conducted in natural conditions of educational process in Ural institute of State firefighting service of EMERCOM of Russia and provided the same as for the experimental and control groups. During the experiment the authors revealed the initial level of the development of the studentβs creative potential, as well as the relationship between the selected set of conditions and the level of development of the studentβs creative potential. It is shown that the majority of cadets plan to study literature, history, philosophy, foreign languages, the art of communication and other humanitarian fields of knowledge. The article deals with the problem of evaluation of the quality of education, which is currently one of the most relevant for the entire education system in the Russian Federation. The necessity of using the method received in the English language Total Quality Management (TQM), this term is interpreted as the βquality systemβ. Socio-Cultural Impact of Church Building in Russia (the Case of the Cathedral of Saint Martyr Catherine in Ekaterinburg)
In recent years, Russia has been going through a boom of church building. In 2009, the Russian Orthodox Church (ROC) had 29,263 parishes and by 2019 this figure had risen to 38,649. In the last decade, the growth in the number of Orthodox religious organizations and places of worship has by far exceeded that of other assets of social infrastructure. While the number of churches is growing, however, the number of schools, kindergartens and hospitals is steadily falling. Unlike other elements of social infrastructure, church building is funded not from the state budget but is financed by donors, sponsors and by the ROC itself, with some of the funds coming from payments for religious rites (baptism, weddings etc). This article analyzes the historical significance and socio-economic impact of church building by focusing on the case of the Cathedral of Saint Martyr Catherine in Ekaterinburg. The right choice of the construction site for the cathedral-the choice that would be agreeable to the metropolitan bishop, municipal government, businesses and sponsors, local community and opinion leaders-will ensure not only that the project will be duly completed but also underline the fact that local communities are able to establish consensus and recognize each other's interests in local decision-making. One of the possible locations considered for building St.Catherine's Cathedral in Ekaterinburg was a former industrial site in the centre of the city. Eventually, it was chosen as the most suitable place for this large-scale project. Redevelopment of an underused or abandoned industrial site, resulting in the improvement in the quality of urban environment, can be seen as an effective instrument of project realization, contributing to the building's social and economic significance.
