    DISTRIBUTION OF QT DURATION ACCORDING TO AMBULATORY ECG MONITORING DATA IN PATIENTS WITH HYPERTENSION DEPENDING ON CLINICAL MANIFESTATIONS

    The study was carried out to identify the distribution of QTc during ECG AM depending on clinical features of EH in 82 patients. As classified shortened was considered QTс 320 ms and 440 ms. Average, maximum and minimum QTc are registered in every patient during ECG AM. The results confirm low probability of short QTc and demonstrate presence of prolonged QTc in every patient during ECG AM. The largest duration of maximal QTc have adulthood male patients with obesity III st., with low and high circadian index, with II stage and mild EH, with for the first time diagnosed EH and with EH lasting more than 10 years, with mild cardiovascular risk, with diffuse cardiosclerosis, with I and II FC and I and IIA st of HF

    Symmetry of the remanent state flux distribution in superconducting thin strips: Probing the critical state

    The critical-state in a thin strip of YBaCuO is studied by magneto-optical imaging. The distribution of magnetic flux density is shown to have a specific symmetry in the remanent state after a large applied field. The symmetry was predicted [PRL 82, 2947 (1999)] for any Jc(B), and is therefore suggested as a simple tool to verify the applicability of the critical-state model. At large temperatures we find deviations from this symmetry, which demonstrates departure from the critical-state behavior. The observed deviations can be attributed to an explicit coordinate dependence of jcj_c since both a surface barrier, and flux creep would break the symmetry in a different way.Comment: 5 pages including 5 eps figures, submitted to PR

    Molecular genetic and bacteriological methods of bovine mycoplasmosis diagnosis

    Mycoplasmas are bacteria that are extremely unstable in vitro as they lack a rigid cell wall. They are most often detected in association with other pathogens, including those that can become L-forms if treated with antibiotics. Mycoplasma colonies, as well as colonies of L-form bacteria, have a typical «fried egg» appearance, therefore it is necessary to differentiate them for the accurate diagnosis and choice of treatment. The paper presents data on mycoplasma infection diagnosis in cattle and results of differentiation of isolated mycoplasma and L-form bacteria colonies using multiple passaging and real-time polymerase chain reaction. For that, 177 samples were collected from animals with mycoplasmosis clinical signs, 45 of them were tested using molecular genetic method, 132 samples were subjected to bacteriological testing. Mycoplasma DNA was detected in 71.1% of samples, and specific colonies were detected in 3.8% of samples. Such biochemical tests of mycoplasma species identification as arginine hydrolysis, blood serum liquefaction, film and grain formation, inoculation into Tween-80-containing medium, hemadsorption and hemolysis of erythrocytes do not allow an objective assessment of the species belonging to mycoplasmas, but, according to the results obtained, the isolated species most likely belongs to Mycoplasma dispar, which is pathogenic for cattle. Real-time polymerase chain reaction is undoubtedly the most accurate and rapid diagnostic method for mycoplasmosis, but a preliminary diagnosis can also be established bacteriologically within 2–7 days. In addition, during microbiological testing, it is possible to assess the antibiotic resistance of mycoplasma isolates, thereby developing an optimal and high-quality scheme of the disease treatment and prevention

    The article presents the main results of a three-year research on the use of a seeder with openers for different depths of grain sowing and mineral fertilizers application.Research purpose To compare SKP-2.1 seeder equipped with experimental openers and the serially produced one and to determine the yield and quality indicators of spring soft wheat grain, depending on the sowing method and the rate of nitrogen mineral fertilizers application.Materials and methods A comparative field agrotechnical experiment was carried out to compare the indicators of field germination, yield by variants and the quality of grain obtained in different variants of the experiment. The experiment was carried out on Omskaya-36 soft spring wheat. The sowing performed by SKP-2.1 serially produced seeder-cultivator was taken as control. The experimental plots were sown with the same seeder but equipped with combined coulters, which are lancet paws that ensure the placement of granular mineral fertilizers and seeds in soil horizons of different depths.Results and discussion According to the three-year research, the maximum economic effect was obtained at the rate of ammonium nitrate application of 150 kg/ha. As a result, the yield increased by 0.44 t/ha, the cost of additional production accounted for 6740 rub/ha. A slight decrease in the economic effect was revealed with an increase in the rate of fertilizer application. It was determined that the maximum yield and the best grain quality characteristics both in the control sowing options and in the experimental ones were obtained with the application of ammonium nitrate a rate of 150 and 200 kg/ha.Conclusions It was established that the use of a seeder for different-depth grain sowing and mineral fertilizers application, depending on the spring weather conditions and the ammonium nitrate dose, provides an increase in field germination by 11-18%; the average annual increase in grain yield accounted for 16.3%. The gluten content proved to increase from 24.6 (control) to 29.8 percent.Привели основные результаты трехлетних исследований применения сеялки с сошниками для разноглубинного посева зерновых и внесения минеральных удобрений.Цель исследования Сравнить переоборудованную экспериментальными сошниками сеялку СКП-2,1 с серийной, определить урожай и качество зерна яровой мягкой пшеницы в зависимости от способа посева и нормы внесения азотных минеральных удобрений.Материалы и методы Провели сравнительный полевой агротехнический опыт, в ходе которого сопоставили показатели полевой всхожести, урожайности по вариантам и качества зерна мягкой яровой пшеницы Омская-36. Приняли за контроль посев, выполненный серийно производимой сеялкой-культиватором СКП-2,1. Экспериментальные делянки засевали той же сеялкой, но переоборудованной комбинированными сошниками, представляющими собой стрельчатые лапы, обеспечивающие размещение гранулированных минеральных удобрений и семян в разных по глубине горизонтах почвы.Результаты и обсуждение По результатам трехлетнего опыта максимальный экономический эффект получили при норме внесения аммиачной селитры 150 килограммов на гектар: прибавка урожая составила 0,44 тонны на гектар, стоимость дополнительной продукции – 6740 рублей на гектар. Выявили незначительное снижение экономического эффекта при увеличении нормы внесения удобрения. Определили, что максимальная урожайность и лучшие качественные характеристики зерна как на контрольных вариантах посева, так и на экспериментальных получены при внесении аммиачной селитры в норме 150 и 200 килограммов на гектар.Выводы Установили, что использование сеялки для разноглубинного посева зерновых и внесения минеральных удобрений в зависимости от погодных условий весны и дозы внесения аммиачной селитры обеспечивает прирост полевой всхожести на 11-18 процентов; средняя ежегодная прибавка урожая зерна составила 16,3 процента. Выявили повышение содержания клейковины с 24,6 (контроль) до 29,8 процента

    Importin α7 Is Essential for Zygotic Genome Activation and Early Mouse Development

    Importin α is involved in the nuclear import of proteins. It also contributes to spindle assembly and nuclear membrane formation, however, the underlying mechanisms are poorly understood. Here, we studied the function of importin α7 by gene targeting in mice and show that it is essential for early embryonic development. Embryos lacking importin α7 display a reduced ability for the first cleavage and arrest completely at the two-cell stage. We show that the zygotic genome activation is severely disturbed in these embryos. Our findings indicate that importin α7 is a new member of the small group of maternal effect genes

    From a nonlinear string to a weakly interacting Bose gas

    We investigate a real scalar field whose dynamics is governed by a nonlinear wave equation. We show that classical description can be applied to a quantum system of many interacting bosons provided that some quantum ingredients are included. An universal action has to be introduced in order to define particle number. The value of this action should be equal to the Planck constant. This constrain can be imposed by removing high frequency modes from the dynamics by introducing a cut-off. We show that the position of the cut-off has to be carefully adjusted. Finally, we show the proper choice of the cut-off ensures that all low frequency eigenenmodes which are taken into account are macroscopically occupied.Comment: 7 pages, 4 figure

    Flux-Induced Vortex in Mesoscopic Superconducting Loops

    We predict the existence of a quantum vortex for an unusual situation. We study the order parameter in doubly connected superconducting samples embedded in a uniform magnetic field. For samples with perfect cylindrical symmetry, the order parameter has been known for long and no vortices are present in the linear regime. However, if the sample is not symmetric, there exist ranges of the field for which the order parameter vanishes along a line, parallel to the field. In many respects, the behavior of this line is qualitatively different from that of the vortices encountered in type II superconductivity. For samples with mirror symmetry, this flux-induced vortex appears at the thin side for small fluxes and at the opposite side for large fluxes.     Using of more convenient drug regimens is one of the ways to increase patient adherence to treatment for osteoarthritis (OA).Objective: to evaluate the efficacy of Alflutop® in an alternating dosing regimen versus its standard administration to patients with knee OA. Patients and methods. The investigation included 130 randomized patients who had Kellgren—Lawrence Grade II—IIIprimary tibiofemoral knee OA with pain intensity on walking at least 40 mm on a visual analogue scale and needed to take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (at least 30 days in the previous 3 months). The patients were divided into two groups: 1) those who received Alflutop® 2 ml intramuscularly (IM) every other day (a total of 10 injections); 2) those who used the drug 1.0 ml IM daily for 20 days. The duration of the investigation was 14 weeks. Results and discussion. Just on days 20/21 of treatment, the patients of both groups were recorded to have statistically significant reductions in knee pain on walking (p<0.001) and in all WOMAC indices (pain, stiffness, functional failure). There were further reductions in pain and WOMAC within one month or more after completion of therapy (p<0.001), which suggests that the drug has a pronounced after-effect. A statistically significant improvement in quality of life according to the EQ-5D was also noted throughout the study period (p<0.001). The assessment made according to the OMERACT-OARSI criteria was also consistent with the findings. By the end of treatment, its respondents were 84.6 and 81.5% of the patients in Groups 1 and 2, respectively.Conclusion. The data from this investigation confirm the comparable high efficacy of Alflutop® used in both standard and alternating treatment regimens. During treatment, there was a significant reduction in pain intensity and improvements in knee joint function and quality of life. The investigation has shown that the drug can be used at a dose of 1 ml not daily for 20 days, but also at 2 ml every other day for 10 days.Одним из способов повышения приверженности пациентов терапии остеоартрита (ОА) может быть использование более удобных схем применения препаратов.Цель исследования — оценить эффективность препарата Алфлутоп® в альтернирующем режиме по сравнению со стандартным его введением у пациентов с ОА коленных суставов.Пациенты и методы. В исследование включено 130 пациентов с первичным тибиофеморальным ОА коленных суставов II—III стадии по Келлгрену—Лоуренсу, с интенсивностью боли при ходьбе не менее 40 мм по визуальной аналоговой шкале, потребностью в приеме нестероидных противовоспалительных препаратов (не менее 30 дней за предшествующие 3 мес). Пациенты были распределены в две группы: больные 1-й группы получали Алфлутоп® по 2 мл внутримышечно (в/м) через день (всего 10 инъекций), пациенты 2-й группы — по 1,0 мл в/м ежедневно в течение 20 дней. Длительность участия пациента в исследовании составила 14 нед. Результаты и обсуждение. У больных обеих групп уже к 20/21-му дню лечения зафиксировано статистически значимое (p<0,001) уменьшение боли в коленных суставах при ходьбе и всех показателей WOMAC (боль, скованность, функциональная недостаточность). Дальнейшее уменьшение боли и показателей WOMAC наблюдалось на протяжении 1 мес и более после завершения терапии (p<0,001), что свидетельствует о выраженном последействии препарата. Также в течение всего периода исследования отмечалось статистически значимое улучшение качества жизни по EQ-5D (р<0,001). С полученными данными согласовывалась и оценка по критерию OMERACT-OARSI. К моменту завершения лечения на терапию ответили 84,6% пациентов 1-й группы и 81,5% пациентов 2-й группы.Выводы. Данные настоящего исследования подтверждают сопоставимую высокую эффективность Алфлутопа® как при стан-дартном, так и при альтернирующем режиме терапии. На фоне лечения отмечены значимое уменьшение выраженности боли, улучшение функции коленных суставов и качества жизни. Показана возможность назначения препарата не только ежедневно №20 по 1 мл, но и через день №10 по 2 мл

    Иммунологические эффекты адалимумаба при ревматоидном артрите: результаты Российского национального исследования

    A reduction in immunological parameters during therapy for rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can yield new data on the mechanisms of anti-inflammatory action and be of great practical importance since this allows judgment of the depth of impact on the immunological process and therefore may be regarded as one of the components of improvement and remission. Objective: to study the effect of the tumor necrosis factor-a (TNF-а) inhibitor adalimumab (ADA) on a number of key immunological parameters in RA. Subjects and methods. The study included 100 patients (11 men and 89 women) diagnosed with RA from 5 research centers. The patients were observed to have high RA activity: at baseline, DAS28 6.22+0.84 scores; C-reactive protein (CRP) 37.1+34.7 mg/l. The mean number of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) used by a patient in the history was 2.1. During 24-week treatment, the patients took ADA in a subcutaneous dose of 40 mg every 2 weeks both alone and in combination with DMARDs. The time course of changes in the serum levels of CRP, IGM rheumatoid factor (RF) and in the concentration of anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide 2 (anti-CCP2) antibodies was determined by enzyme immunoassay (EIA) using the Axis-Shield Diagnostics commercial kits (United Kingdom). The levels of TNF-a, interleukin (IL) 6, 12, matrix metalloproteinase 3 (MMP3) were measured in pg/ml by EIA using the Bender MedSystems commercial kits (USA) according to the manufacturer's directions. Results. During ADA therapy, there was a rapid reduction in the level of CRP from 34.3 to 11.317.2 mg/l following 2 weeks (p<0.001), which thereafter remained low (11.9 mg/l), with some fluctuations, until week 24 of the study. There was a significant reduction in blood RF levels from 169.24 to 111.97 at 24 weeks (p<0.001). After 12 weeks of ADA treatment, there was virtually a two-fold decrease in IL-6 content from 8.87 to 4.87 pg/ml and later on to 4.03 pg/ml at week 24 (p>0,05). The mean levels of anti-CCP2 antibodies, IL-12, VEGF, and MMP3 remained unchanged. Conclusion. The time course of changes in immunological parameters during ADA treatment demonstrates the rapid and deep effect of TNF-a inhibitors on the different components of the pathogenesis of RA.Снижение иммунологических показателей на фоне терапии ревматоидного артрита (РА) позволяет получить новые данные о механизмах противовоспалительного действия и имеет важное практическое значение, поскольку позволяет судить о глубине воздействия на иммунопатологический процесс и поэтому может оцениваться как один из компонентов улучшения и ремиссии. Цель исследования — изучение влияния ингибитора фактора некроза опухоли α (ФНОα) адалимумаба (АДА) на ряд ключевых иммунологических показателей при РА. Материал и методы. В исследование включено 100 пациентов из 5 исследовательских центров с диагнозом РА (11 мужчин и 89 женщин). У пациентов наблюдалась высокая активность РА: исходно индекс DAS28 — 6,22±0,84 балла, уровень С-реактивного белка (СРБ) — 37,1+34,7мг/л. Среднее число базисных противовоспалительных препаратов (БПВП) в анамнезе, применявшихся одним пациентом, составило 2,1. За время лечения (24 нед) пациенты получали АДА в дозе 40 мг каждые 2 нед подкожно как в комбинации с БПВП, так и в монотерапии. Определяли в динамике сывороточные уровни СРБ, IgM ревматоидного фактора (РФ), концентрацию антител к циклическому цитруллинированному пептиду 2 (АЦЦП2) изучали иммуноферментным методом (ИФМ) с помощью коммерческих наборов Axis-Shield Diagnostics (Великобритания). Содержание ФНОа, интерлейкина (ИЛ) 6, 12, матриксной металлопротеиназы 3 (ММР3) определяли ИФМ (в пг/мл) с использованием коммерческих наборов Bender MedSystems (США) согласно инструкциям фирмы-изготовителя. Результаты исследования. На фоне терапии АДА наблюдалось быстрое снижение уровня СРБ с 34,3 до 11,3+17,2 мг/л через 2 нед (p<0,001), который в дальнейшем с некоторыми колебаниями оставался низким (11,9 мг/л) до 24-й недели исследования. Наблюдалось достоверное снижение уровня РФ в крови с 169,24 до 111,97на 24-й неделе (p<0,001). Через 12 нед после начала лечения АДА отмечалось практически 2-кратное снижение содержания ИЛ6 с 8,87 до 4,87 пг/мл и в дальнейшем, к 24-й неделе, — до 4,03 пг/мл (p>0,05). Средние уровни АЦЦП, ИЛ12, фактора роста эндотелия сосудов (VEGF), ММП3 не изменились. Выводы. Динамика иммунологических параметров при лечении АДА демонстрирует быстрое и глубокое действие ингибиторов ФНОа на различные звенья патогенеза РА
