    Tourist direction is determined as a territory of origin of a tourist product sold or to be sold at Russian market by a tourist enterprise. Difference between the «region» and «tourist direction» notions is shown. Tourist direction classification principles are described. Presented in the article aremain current tourist industry development tendencies particularly important to be taken into account by tourist operators while building season tourist direction packages. Tourist direction competitiveness notion is discussed along with a system of its evaluation on the basis of both thetourist direction competitiveness index and the index of potential. Factors that influence consumers’ choice of tourist directions are indicated.Туристическое направление определено как территория происхождения туристического продукта, реализуемого на российском рынке туристическим предприятием. Показана разница между понятиями «регион» и «туристическое направление». Предложены принципыклассификации туристических направлений.     Analytical characteristics of the determination of organophosphorus pesticides by means of cholinesterase potentiometric sensors with gelatin, paper, and cellulose nitrate membranes are examined with respect to the nature of membranes and determination conditions. A method is developed for the electrochemical activation of thione organophosphorus pesticides; this method consists in the electrochemical oxidation of the pesticides in the presence of sodium or potassium halides and provides an opportunity to significantly reduce the time for sample preparation and to simplify this procedure. © 1996 MAEe Cyrillic signK Hayκa/Interperiodica Publishing

    Artificial intelligence as a legal category: doctrinal approach to formulating a definition

    Objective: to conduct a critical analysis of the existing definitions of artificial intelligence and develop an authors’ version of the concept acceptable for legal sciences.Methods: the methodological basis of the study is a set of scientific cognition methods, including abstract-logical method, comparison and correlation analysis.Results: the main regularities of decision-making by artificial intelligence are identified; the mechanism of its perception of objective reality is determined; the fundamental ability of machine learning to conform its behavior to socially acceptable processes is confirmed. It is assumed that there are many ways to describe artificial intelligence: by indicating the action mechanism, the basic operation principles, the range of tasks to be solved, etc. However, the most convincing and consistent is position of those researchers who tend to describe the AI phenomenon by designating its properties and characteristics. The authors state that there is no definition of “artificial intelligence” in the modern legal doctrine. As a result of a comprehensive analysis of various scientific sources in a systematic unity with own judgments, it is proposed to introduce the author’s version of the “artificial intelligence” concept into scientific circulation.Scientific novelty: the paper presents an assessment of the “artificial intelligence” concept definitions available in the scientific literature and legal framework, as well as the authors’ opinion on their relevance, comprehensiveness and topicality; there is an attempt to formulate the definition taking into account all the significant properties of artificial intelligence.Practical significance: is due to the current impossibility to apply legal norms and rules to relations involving artificial intelligence taking into account their specifics. The main provisions and conclusions of the study can be used to improve the mechanisms of legal regulation of artificial intelligence in the Russian Federation

    2(5H)-Furanone Derivatives as Inhibitors of Staphylococcal Biofilms

    © 2016, Springer Science+Business Media New York.The opportunistic bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis often form rigid biofilms on wounds and artificial surfaces and thereby become extremely resistant to antimicrobials. Here, we report the effect of four novel 2(5H)-furanone derivatives on the cell growth and biofilm formation by these microorganisms. Using the differential fluorescence staining of viable and dead cells, we demonstrated that furanones increase the antibacterial efficacy of chloramphenicol against both biofilm-embedded S. aureus and S. epidermidis with F35 being the most efficient compound, probably by increasing the accessibility of cells against antimicrobials. Compounds F6, F8, and F83 inhibited the biofilm formation at concentrations of 2.5–10 μg/ml, although exhibiting high cytotoxicity for human skin fibroblasts with CC50 of 0.5–1.1 μg/ml. F35 demonstrated minimal biofilm inhibition concentration of 10 μg/ml, while its cytotoxicity was ten times lower than that of the other compounds (CC50 13.1 μg/ml), suggesting its chemotype seems a promising starting point for the development of new antibiofilm agents

    Comparative assessment of electrochemical biosensors for determining inhibitors - Environmental pollutants

    Electrochemical biosensors are developed on the basis of pH and carbon-paste electrodes with replaceable cholinesterase membranes supported on paper or polymeric membranes (Nylon, Hybond, Amersham and cellulose nitrate, Sartorius). Biosensors provide the rapid determination of Diazinon, Fozolone, Metaphos, and Koral with a detection limit of n × (10-8 to 10-9) M. The analytical characteristics of pesticide determination vary with the membrane material, which is due to the adsorption of the inhibitor on the membrane surface and depends on the hydrophobicity of the membrane material and the inhibitor. The modification of the biosensor sensitivity to pesticides on the addition of surfactants was studied, and the mechanism of biosensor response to inhibitors of various nature was investigated in both batch and flow-injection modes. © 1999 MAHK "Hayka/Interperiodica"

    Electrochemical reduction of mucochloric acid and its 5-alkoxy derivatives

    5-Alkoxy-3-chloro-2(5H)-furanones were synthesized by the electrochemical reduction of 5-alkoxy derivatives of mucochloric acid in acetonitrile on the lead electrode in the presence of acetic acid as a proton donor. A combined analysis of the experimental data and quantum chemical calculation of intermediates indicates the EE D C mechanism of reduction, including the tandem transfer of two electrons with chloride ion elimination at the stage of transfer of the second electron and protonation. © 2012 Springer Science+Business Media New York

    A number of 4- and 5-R-sulfanylfuran-2(5H)-one derivatives were synthesized, and their oxidation with various reagents was studied. The corresponding sulfones were obtained using hydrogen peroxide in acetic acid. 4-R-sulfanyl derivatives were selectively oxidized to sulfoxides with m-chloroperoxybenzoic acid.     Cichorium intybus L., a perennial herbaceous plant of Asteraceae family, is widely distributed in the flora of Russia. Aboveground and underground parts of this plant are used in scientific and traditional medicine as hypoglycemic, antioxidant, hepatoprotective remedy. In this experiment lipophilic fractions of the herb and roots of chicory by method of gas chromatography with mass spectrometry detection was investigated. 4s a result of the research in the grass we revealed the presence of 14 compounds: derivatives of higher fatty alcohols, vital, isophytol, 3,7,11,15-tetrameth- yl-l,6,10,14-hexametre-3-ol, heneicosane, polien, first identifiedD-Iimonene.
