Exact Spin and Pseudo-Spin Symmetric Solutions of the Dirac-Kratzer Problem with a tensor potential via Laplace Transform Approach
Exact bound state solutions of the Dirac equation for the Kratzer potential
in the presence of a tensor potential are studied by using the Laplace
transform approach for the cases of spin- and pseudo-spin symmetry. The energy
spectra is obtained in the closed form for the relativistic as well as
non-relativistic cases including the Coulomb potential. It is seen that our
analytical results are in agrement with the ones given in literature. The
numerical results are also given in a table for different parameter values.Comment: 8 page
Microplastic pollution in Turkish aquatic ecosystems: Sources, characteristics, implications, and mitigation strategies
Aquatic environments are one of the final destinations for microplastics. In this review, a combination of systematic and narrative literature review was conducted to identify and summarise advances, gaps, and future directions in microplastic monitoring studies in the Turkish aquatic environment and in inhabiting aquatic organisms. A total of 62 peer-reviewed publications available on Web of Science were considered in the systematic review. Additionally, the current state of microplastic pollution in Turkish aquatic environments which includes marine and freshwater ecosystems, as well as aquatic organisms, and sources and characteristics of microplastics were reviewed narratively. Turkiye's position on the global plastic treaty and mitigation practices were also addressed. Although an increase in the number of publications over time was observed, the number and extent of studies carried out in freshwater ecosystems are limited. Strict legislation should be enacted and enforced to tackle plastic pollution in Turkiye. Additionally, nationwide, long-term monitoring studies at sufficiently regular intervals in aquatic environments should be considered
The Changing Waves of Migration from the Balkans to Turkey: A Historical Account
Ahmet İçduygu and Deniz Sert tell the history of migration from the Balkans to Turkey from the end of the nineteenth century to the present. They relate this history to nation-building, but also to economic conditions and specific Turkish concerns, such as the perceived need for immigration to compensate for a declining population at that time. They also demonstrate that after 1990, ethnic migration decreased and irregular labour migration became more important
The perception of public space of the elderly after social isolation and its effect on health
Ongoing life in public spaces where people from all ages and segments of society interact, is a lifestyle especially in Mediterranean societies. The question of how and in which direction the importance of public spaces in our lives will change after the Covid 19 pandemic has formed the starting point of this study. With this study, it was aimed to analyze the location of public spaces especially in the lives of users over 65 years of age and to predict how and in what direction this place will change. In this context, a survey was conducted with 68 people over 65 years of age between when the curfew to this user group was approved. As a result of the study, it was observed that the prevention of the use of public spaces, which constitute a large place in their lives, highlighted their need for these spaces. And those who participated in the questionnaire were evaluated these spaces as the most important places where they would never regret after the pandemic. The study also discussed the measures to be taken and new approaches in urban areas despite the risk of a pandemic. © 2022 Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams Universit
New hidden beauty molecules predicted by the local hidden gauge approach and heavy quark spin symmetry
Using a coupled channel unitary approach, combining the heavy quark spin symmetry and the dynamics of the local hidden gauge, we investigate the meson-meson interaction with hidden beauty. We obtain several new states of isospin I = 0: six bound states, and weakly bound six more possible states which depend on the influence of the coupled channel effects
