Use of Glauconite in Potato Cultivation Technology
In intensive technologies of cultivation of potatoes, the need for trace elements is increasing. The concentration of trace elements in plants is very small, but the importance of these elements in biochemical processes is difficult to overestimate. The deficiency of trace elements is the root cause of many functional disorders. Trace elements in plants are part of enzymes, stimulate and accelerate plant development, increase resistance to adverse environmental conditions, etc. Also, with their shortage, crop productivity decreases. The use of natural minerals, such as glauconite, containing trace elements, allows improving comprehensive nutrition and increase productivity. Getting early production of high quality potatoes in the summer is important and relevant in the modern world. The use of glauconite in the conditions of the Moscow region, along with fertilizers and irrigation, allows obtaining high-quality products and increasing productivity by 6.3... 29.0%
Efficiency of new growth regulators in growing daikon
The paper presents the results of research on the effectiveness of using new plant growth regulators (PGRs) of carbamates and oxamates series on daikon when treating seed material. The effect of growth regulators on seed quality, growth, and yield of daikon (Raphanus sativus L. subsp. acanthiformis Stanken.) of Sasha variety was studied. The research was conducted in laboratory-field conditions from 2022 to 2023 at the Educational Scientific and Production Center for Horticulture and Vegetable Growing named after V.I. Edelstein. In both laboratory and field experiments, the seed material was treated once, followed by plant development using classical technology. All treatments applied had a stimulating effect on seed germination and showed statistically significant differences compared to the control variant. Treatment of seed material with growth regulators of the carbamate series had a significant effect on the size of the assimilation apparatus. The maximum root crop weight was recorded in the variant with the Kartolin-2 preparation, with a difference compared to the control variant of 15%. The obtained data over two years on average showed an increase in yield by 9% and 12% in variants treated with Oxamate and Kartolin-2 preparations
Use of irrigation in early potatoes cultivation in the Moscow region
Early potatoes are mainly used for food. In tubers varieties early term maturation contains less starch, but they differ a good taste. Getting the potato harvest in the early days, when the range of domestic vegetables is not large is very important and can compete with imports. Potatoes have increased requirements for soil moisture. The transpiration coefficient of potatoes varies depending on meteorological factors, agro-technical measures, as well as on the varietal properties of the plant itself. Getting the potato harvest in the early days, when the range of domestic vegetables is not large is very important and can compete with imports. Potatoes increased the requirements for soil moisture. The risk of potato cultivation from uneven rainfall distribution during the growing season and from the difference in years can be reduced by using irrigation. Early potatoes, while ensuring all factors manages to give a good harvest on July 15 at harvest 30 July high yield. The use of irrigation can increase yields by 50.0–55.1 % depending on the term of harvesting tubers
The effectiveness of the use of Aminozol and Lebozol on the yield of winter garlic
This article discusses the results of an experiment to grow hardneck garlic in the Moscow region. The study used Russian hardneck garlic varieties of Odintsovsky Jubilee and Streletz and found that they had high flavor qualities and were recommended for cultivation in the non-black soil zone of Russia. The experiments were conducted in 2021-2022 at the «Horticulture and vegetable growing» of Gardening and Horticulture named after V.I. Edelstein. The results showed that the double application of organic fertilizer of Aminozol and Lebozol-Full Care during the vegetative period led to an increase in yield for all tested varieties. On the Odintsovsky Jubilee variety, the organic fertilizer Aminozol had a positive effect on increasing the average mass of bulbs by 26.9% compared to the control and 13% compared to the treatment with Lebozol-Full Care. The study also noted an increase in the average mass of bulbs due to the mass of each clove. The variety Streltets when treated with Aminozol and Lebozol-Full Care fertilizers increased the mass of the bulb by 17.7% and 10.9% compared to the control. Research has established a positive effect of organic Aminozol Lebozol - Full Care fertilizers on the productivity and yield of winter garlic
