Objective: The study was conducted to analyze the rationality of treatment regimens and thrombosis prophylaxis used in coronary artery intervention to compare to guidelines for treatment according to VNHA and recommendation of ACC/AHA at Interventional cardiology in Can Tho Central General Hospital. Methods: The cross-sectional study was based on the data collected from entire medical records of patients at Interventional cardiology in Can Tho Central General Hospital from August 2017 to February 2018. The rationality of the antithrombotic regimen used at the Hospital is assessed through criteria such as medical combination, dosage, time to take medicine, clinical trials during the treatment. Results: The study found that 95.6% and 90.7% were suitable for medical combination before and after PCI; 100% fit for the use of medicine; and 100% was suitable for antithrombotic agents and clinical trials during treatment time; in terms of dosage, the result showed that entrance and maintenance were 84.9% and 100% for aspirin respectively; 71.7% and 100% for clopidogrel; 100% and 94.7% for ticagrelor; 90.2-92.8% and 98.1% for enoxaparin; especially, heparin-100% anticoagulant was appropriate to recommend. Conclusion: The study showed that treatment regimens and thrombosis prophylaxis in percutaneous coronary intervention at Interventional cardiology in Can Tho Central General Hospital were quite suitable compared to the recommendations of the Heart Association. The results from the study are a scientific basis for the Hospital to maintain or consider adjustments to improve the quality of treatment, ensure the effectiveness and safety of patients

Tournament-Based Incentives and Mergers and Acquisitions

This research examines the relation between tournament-based incentives, which are proxied by the difference between a firm’s CEO pay and the median pay of the senior managers, and mergers and acquisitions (M&As). We find that tournament-based incentives are positively related to firm acquisitiveness and acquiring firms’ stock and operating performance. Further analysis indicates that positive acquisition performance increases the likelihood of the CEO being promoted from inside the acquiring firm. Our evidence is consistent with the view that tournament-based incentives motivate acquiring firms’ managers to make greater efforts and take more risk that result in superior acquisition performance

Synthesis and Photocatalytic Activity for Toluene Removal of CDs/TiO2 - Zeolite Y

Hydrothermally synthesized carbon nanodots (CDs) were impregnated on TiO2. The product (CDs/TiO2) was mechanically mixed with zeolite Y for application in toluene photocatalytic oxidation reaction under UV radiation. Material properties of the samples were investigated by different methods. Toluene vapor was chosen as a typical volatile organic compound to investigate the performance of CDs/TiO2 – zeolite Y photocatalyst when these technological parameters were changed: toluene concentration, gas flow rate, humidity and UV light intensity. In each reaction, only one parameter was changed and the remaining conditions were fixed. The toluene concentrations at the beginning and the end of each reaction were analyzed with the use of gas chromatography (GC). The results of different reaction conditions show the trends for toluene treatment of the CDs/TiO2 – zeolite Y catalyst, thereby providing specific explanations for these trends. The experiments also show that toluene removal is highest when the toluene concentration in the inlet gas is 314 ppmv, the flow rate is 3 L/h, the humidity is 60%, and the catalyst (CDs/TiO2 – zeolite Y composite with 70% zeolite in weight) is illuminated by 4 UV lamps. Multichannel Photon Counting Lidar Measurements Using USB-based Digital Storage Oscilloscope

    Get PDF
We present a simple method of making multichannel photon counting measurements of weak lidar signal from large ranges, using commonly available USB-based digital storage oscilloscopes. The single photon pulses from compact photomultiplier tubes are amplified and stretched so that the pulses are large and broad enough to be sampled efficiently by the USB oscilloscopes. A software interface written in Labview is then used to count the number of photon pulses in each of the prescribed time bins to form the histogram of LIDAR signal. This method presents a flexible alternative to the modular multichannel scalers and facilitate the development of sensitive lidar systems

This paper introduces the petrographic characteristics and depositional environment of Middle Miocene rocks of the Thien Ung - Mang Cau structure in the central area of Nam Con Son Basin based on the results of analyzing thin sections and structural characteristics of core samples. Middle Miocene sedimentary rocks in the studied area can be divided into three groups: (1) Group of terrigenous rocks comprising greywacke sandstone, arkosic sandstone, lithic-quartz sandstone, greywacke-lithic sandstone, oligomictic siltstone, and bitumenous claystone; (2) Group of carbonate rocks comprising dolomitic limestone and bituminous limestone; (3) Mixed group comprising calcareous sandstone, calcarinate sandstone, arenaceous limestone, calcareous claystone, calcareous silty claystone, dolomitic limestone containing silt, and bitumen. The depositional environment is expressed through petrographic characteristics and structure of the sedimentary rocks in core samples. The greywacke and arkosic sandstones are of medium grain size, poor sorting and roundness, and siliceous cement characterizing the alluvial and estuarine fan environment expressed by massive structure of core samples. The mixed calcareous limestone, arenaceous dolomitic limestone, and calcareous and bituminous clayey siltstone in the core samples are of turbulent flow structure characterizing shallow bay environment with the action of bottom currents. The dolomitic limestones are of relatively homogeneous, of microgranular and fine-granular texture, precipitated in a weakly reducing, semi-closed, and relatively calm bay environment
