Mass of asymptotically anti-de Sitter hairy spacetimes
In the standard asymptotic expansion of four dimensional static
asymptotically flat spacetimes, the coefficient of the first subleading term of
the lapse function can be identified with the mass of the spacetime. Using the
Hamiltonian formalism we show that, in asymptotically locally anti-de Sitter
spacetimes endowed with a scalar field, the mass can read off in the same way
only when the boundary conditions are compatible with the asymptotic
realization of the anti-de Sitter symmetry. In particular, this implies that
some prescriptions for computing the mass of a hairy spacetime are not suitable
when the scalar field breaks the asymptotic anti-de Sitter invariance.Comment: 11 pages, no figure
ANALYSIS ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PROFIT TAX AND INVESTMENTS IN THE CONTEXT OF A GLOBALISED WORLD. CASE STUDY – ROMANIA
Although it is a relative old concept, having ruts in the writings of the late „60s, globalization has become in current times a cliché, being used in many parts of the world and in many languages but not having a specific definition. Financial globalization is considered to be the core element of the process of globalization and consists in a complex integration of financial markets through exchange and financial flows. In this context, the economic agents are considered to be important players, given the fact that fortheir investments they appeal to financial recourses wherever they may be. However there investment behavior is greatly influenced by the state, through the fiscal policy, especially through a very important instrument at its disposal, the profit tax rate. The aim of this paper is to emphasize the evolution of the relationship between the profit tax and investments, in the case of Romania from 1990 until 2008, trying to show particular developments of each of this two variables studied and the relations between them, the amplitude of influence exercised by them. The paper also focuses upon a better understanding of how the variables analyzed influence the real economy in this globalized environment.globalization, economic policy, investment, profit tax rate, FDI
Trace Anomaly and Counterterms in Designer Gravity
We construct concrete counterterms of the Balasubramanian-Kraus type for
Einstein-scalar theories with designer gravity boundary conditions in
AdS, so that the total action is finite on-shell and satisfy a well
defined variational principle for an arbitrary scalar field potential. We focus
on scalar fields with the conformal mass, , and show that the
holographic mass matches the Hamiltonian mass for any boundary conditions. We
compute the trace anomaly of the dual field theory in the generic case, as well
as when there exist logarithmic branches of non-linear origin. As expected, the
anomaly vanishes for the boundary conditions that are AdS invariant. When the
anomaly does not vanish, the dual stress tensor describes a thermal gas with an
equation of state related to the boundary conditions of the scalar field. When
the anomaly vanishes, we recover the dual theory of a massless thermal gas. As
an application of the formalism, we consider a general family of exact hairy
black hole solutions that, for some particular values of the parameters in the
moduli potential, contains solutions of four-dimensional gauged
supergravity and its -deformation. Using the AdS/CFT duality
dictionary, they correspond to triple trace deformations of the dual field
theory.Comment: 26 pages, no figures v2: title changed, refs. added, matches the

HUMAN RESOURCES ACCOUNTING - ACCOUNTING FOR THE MOST VALUABLE ASSET OF AN ENTERPRISE
Employees are the most important assets of an enterprise and its success or failure depends on their qualifications and performance. Human resources are not properly evaluated because the enterprises consider the wages, actually an investment in the qualification and improvement of the staff as expenditure and and not as an investment in the most important asset of an enterprise - the human capital. The current accounting system is not able to provide the actual value of employee capabilities and knowledge. This indirectly affects future investments of a company, as each year the cost on human resource development and recruitment increases. Human resource accounting is a direct part of the social accounting and aims to provide information on the evaluation of one of the most important components of the organization, namely human capital. This article seeks to show the importance of human resources for an enterprise, what human resource accounting is, which would be its implications and what are its main objectives.Human Resources Accounting, human capital, knowledge, intangible assets, Lev & Schwartz model
The Design of Project Management Structural Organization
The relationships organization-suppliers-customers have recently known major changes in the structure of services and have made the organization develop its managerial and professional competencies in order to do projects. The qualified organization is the most trust-worthy in the process of doing a project. The participation of an organization in doing projects depends on a multitude of factors. Out of these factors, the structural organization comes forth, as it represents the variable with the most important impact on a project’s quality, costs and lead time. From the organizational point of view, the matrix structure is frequently chosen for projects. The matrix structure generally coexists with the line structure. The two structures are contrastive. The line structure is based on the unity of command principle and is not open to cooperation and dialogue. The matrix structure encourages cooperation and communication, favours conflict, which is considered here a healthy and essential process. The matrix structure and the line structure claim their right to initiative. Conflict and the multidimensional integration of multiple hierarchies can be negotiated through the concept charisma – mediation, sustained by the matrix structure.qualified organization, matrix structure, mono-affiliation – multi-affiliation; projects – professions, charisma – mediation.
Impact of SNB decision to unpeg the franc from euro on financial markets: event study approach
The aim of this paper is to study the impact of Swiss National Bank (SNB) decision to unpeg the franc from euro, which was taken on 15th January, 2015, on main financial markets around the word. Our results shows that the stocks market reacted significantly in the event day (except stock market from Asia & Australia), when was recorded a significant decrease of 0.33% in the average return. Moreover, it seems that after 4 days there was recorded the highest significant decrease of global market return of 1.3%
Optimal Energy Production Planning in Power Systems with Wind Energy Sources
Due to its intermittent nature, the optimal production of electricity from wind energy represents a real challenge for nowadays power systems. Whether isolated or grid-connected systems are considered, wind power sources can be profitable, but their intermittent output may lead to problems in terms of power quality and increased costs related to the operation of the grid and to the production of energy. This chapter discusses the choice of the most appropriate solutions for planning the electricity production from wind energy based on different algorithms for obtaining models based on principles used in artificial intelligence techniques such as recurrent neural networks (RNNs) and long short-term memory (LSTM) neural networks. We discuss the situation of obtaining the optimal model for estimating energy production based on a criterion or on multiple criteria: energy production history or energy production history correlated with different parameters describing the weather conditions
CSR and Company's Stock Price. A Comparative Evidence from Bucharest Stock Exchange
This paper aims at analysing the relationship between Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) andstock price for the companies listed on Bucharest Stock Exchange (BSE) in 2015, comparing with the resultsobtained for 2014. This study investigates the differences in the market stock price (and other market variables, such as dividends and stock return) of companies that show CSR compared with those that do not. For thispurpose we will use three statistical techniques: discriminant analysis, probit analysis model and logisticregression. There is no significant difference between the prediction ability of the models, in the context inwhich probit model and logistic regression have and average correct classification of 70.29%, whilediscriminant analysis records 71.62%. Our analysis highlighted that stock return has a significant impact onCSR activities of a company. Moreover, all discriminants have a positive impact on CSR
Romanian Fiscal Policy Sustainability during Financial Crisis: A Cointegration Approach
AbstractThe fiscal policy type depends on the economic stage: recession or expansion. Taking into account these two economic stages, the central authority of each country is adopting different measures in order to stimulate (during recession period) or to temperate (during boom period) the economy. The purpose of these measures is to obtain economic stability of the country for a long period of time. Therefore, this paper is emphasizing fiscal policy sustainability in Romania. Maintaining fiscal sustainability is very important for both macroeconomic stability and financial capacity of the country. Our results reveal that the public expenditure responds better to shocks caused by structural changes in revenue, compared to the opposite case. This fact indicates that there is still a hope in the sustainability of Romanian fiscal policy on long term
A Management Application for the Small Distributed Generation Systems of Electric Power Based on Renewable Energy
AbstractA multitude of factors, from the technological ones to the availability of primary resources and not least the current trend of electricity production at small capacities, led to a significant development of distributed generation. The problems they bring requires a special attention provided by supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) solutions. These systems can include or can be extended with new facilities such as the one proposed in this paper. The present paper aims to implement a management solution for isolated or connected to local grid systems of energy production from renewable sources, with small production capacity. The idea at the basis of the proposed solution focuses on using the existing energy management principles for distributed energy production facilities and on the accessible existing communication infrastructure. The proposed system allows the management of multiple energy production systems based on renewable energy including the using of mobile devices
