In the complex cation of the title salt, [Cu(C12H10N6)2(C8H6O4)2](C8H5O4)2, the CuII atom, lying on an inversion center, exhibits a distorted octahedral geometry defined by four N atoms from two 4-amino-3,5-bis(pyridin-2-yl)-4H-1,2,4-triazole ligands in the equatorial plane and two axial O atoms from two benzene-1,2-dicarboxylic acid ligands. In the crystal, the complex cations and the monodeprotonated 2-carboxybenzoate anions are connected by O—H⋯O and N—H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming a tape along [100]. Adjacent tapes are further linked into a three-dimensional arrangement via π–π stacking interactions between the triazole and benzene rings and between the pyridine and benzene rings [centroid–centroid distances = 3.6734 (14)/3.9430 (16) and 3.8221 (14) Å]. Intramolecular N—H⋯N and O—H⋯O hydrogen bonds are also observed

Typical Correlation Analysis between Forage Type Triticale Production Performance and Different Pilot Ecological Factors

    Get PDF
Domestic and foreign researches on triticale mainly focus on hereditary traits and excellent characteristics, but there are few reports on triticale yield and quality in the severe cold pastoral areas of Gansu and Qinghai. In this study, Gannong 2 triticale cultivars have been bred and planted in typical ecological areas according to the characteristics of different ecological regions. By studying the relationship between quality traits and various ecological factors, the effects of different ecological factors on the quality of Triticale hay have been clarified, which provides a reasonable basis for future triticale breeding and large-scale and targeted planting layout. The production performance and nutritional qualities of Triticale Trial in Maqu County, Gansu Province and Gannong No. 2 in Dulan County, Qinghai Province are obviously superior to other pilot sites. Through reasonable fertilization, the production performance and nutritional quality of triticale are the best. Triticale production performance is significantly related to climatic factors in different pilots. The most suitable planting area for Gannong 2 is Maqu County, Gansu Province

Reflection on the Experiences of US and European Automobile Industry to Hubei’s Future Development

Surpassing the US in car sales in 2009. China has, since the world financial crisis, been showing big potential while US automobiles industry under complete depression. Green car, which has long been popular in European countries such as Belgium, has therefore become a key for the revival of the world car industry. As one of the three major automobile bases in China, how can Hubei benefit from the current challenge and development opportunity in the pro-crisis era?Key words: Saving and new energy vehicles; US automobile; decay; European “green” plastics; Hubei; developmen

Synthesis and Sensing Properties of ZnO/ZnS Nanocages

    Get PDF
Large-scale uniform ZnO dumbbells and ZnO/ZnS hollow nanocages were successfully synthesized via a facile hydrothermal route combined with subsequent etching treatment. The nanocages were formed through preferential dissolution of the twinned (0001) plane of ZnO dumbbells. Due to their special morphology, the hollow nanocages show better sensing properties to ethanol than ZnO dumbbells. The gain in sensitivity is attributed to both the interface between ZnO and ZnS heterostructure and their hollow architecture that promotes analyte diffusion and increases the available active surface area

Relationship between four tumor-associated bio-markers and prognosis of gastric cancer

Purpose: To investigate the relationship between prognosis of gastric cancer (GC) and the expression of P53, Epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), Human epidermal growth factor receptor-2 (HER-2), and Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).Methods: One hundred and forty-seven patients admitted to People's Liberation Army General Hospital (Beijing, China) with diagnosis of locally advanced GC were enrolled in the study. Follow-up data were obtained by outpatient review or telephone follow-up. Expressions of P53, EGFR, HER-2 and VEGF were determined by immunohistochemical staining. The relationship between protein expression, clinico-pathological factors, disease-free survival time (DFS) and overall survival (OS) were analyzed. Results: The expressions of EGER, HER-2, P53 and VEGF in GC were 17.7, 17.0, 41.0 and 55.9%, respectively. The expressions of EGFR and P53 were positively correlated (r = 0.306, p < 0.05), while the expressions of VEGF and HER-2 were negatively correlated (r = -0.2, p < 0.05). The expressions of EGFR, HER-2 and VEGF were not related to the clinico-pathological factors (p > 0.05) while expression of P53 was related only to histological grade (p < 0.05). Univariate analysis showed that OS and DFS were longer (p < 0.05) when P53 was lowly expressed. Multiple-factor analysis revealed that histological grade, infiltration depth and P53 expression were independent factors that influenced DFS.Conclusion: These results indicate that the expression of P53, EGFR, HER2 and VEGF can be used to predict prognosis of GC and screening of patients’ benefits from adjuvant chemotherapy. Keywords: Gastric cancer, Prognosis, Biomarkers, Adjuvant chemotherap

Regulation of TrkB receptor tyrosine kinase and its internalization by neuronal activity and Ca2+ influx

Internalization of the neurotrophin–Trk receptor complex is critical for many aspects of neurotrophin functions. The mechanisms governing the internalization process are unknown. Here, we report that neuronal activity facilitates the internalization of the receptor for brain-derived neurotrophic factor, TrkB, by potentiating its tyrosine kinase activity. Using three independent approaches, we show that electric stimulation of hippocampal neurons markedly enhances TrkB internalization. Electric stimulation also potentiates TrkB tyrosine kinase activity. The activity-dependent enhancement of TrkB internalization and its tyrosine kinase requires Ca2+ influx through N-methyl-d-aspartate receptors and Ca2+ channels. Inhibition of internalization had no effect on TrkB kinase, but inhibition of TrkB kinase prevents the modulation of TrkB internalization, suggesting a critical role of the tyrosine kinase in the activity-dependent receptor endocytosis. These results demonstrate an activity- and Ca2+-dependent modulation of TrkB tyrosine kinase and its internalization, and they provide new insights into the cell biology of tyrosine kinase receptors

In vitro inhibition of proliferation, migration and epithelial-mesenchymal transition of human lens epithelial cells by fasudil

AIM: To study the potential role of fasudil as a treatment for posterior capsular opacification (PCO) of the human crystalline lens. METHODS: Human lens epithelial cells (HLECs; line SRA01/04) was exposed to transforming growth factor-β2 (TGF-β2) to induce the process of epithelial-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Fasudil was applied to the cell samples. Its effect on overall HLECs proliferation and migration was studied, as was its influence on EMT induction by TGF-β2 using cell migration assay, MTT colorimetric assay and Western blot assay. RESULTS: Fasudil inhibited the proliferation of SRA01/04. Its effect was time- and concentration-dependent. The migration of SRA01/04 cells was significantly reduced 24-72h after fasudil treatment, and the half maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) was 22.37 μmol/mL at 72h. Reversal of the elongated, fibroblast-like shape changes induced by TGF-β2 in SRA01/04 cells was observed. Fasudil up-regulated the expression of Connexin43 protein and down-regulated the expression of α-SMA protein compared with the cells treated with TGF-β2. Furthermore, when exposed to fasudil, the phosphorylation of Rho-associated protein kinase (Rock) and myosin light chain (MLC) could not be activated in the cell preparations. CONCLUSION: Fasudil suppresses the proliferation and migration of SRA01/04 cells, and inhibits the process of EMT induced by TGF-β2. These results suggest that fasudil may serve as a therapeutic agent for PCO
