    The Asian continent is currently undergoing a phase of project and technology implementation as various investments are made in various engineering sectors to support the continent's rapid development. Management of a business through technology projects is similar to management of a business through the use of technology. To facilitate the rapid development of Asia, project and technology management is emerging as one of the most important disciplines for making sense of the large amounts of funding that are committed to numerous projects of this type. Engineering projects in Asia have not performed particularly well in the past. The majority of major public sector projects in Asia result in substantial cost and time overruns, draining national resources and delaying the benefits to the continent as a whole. Consequently, the project's benefits will be delayed. There have been reports that some engineering infrastructure projects have taken three times longer to complete than originally intended and approved, which has led the state, in conjunction with the nodal agencies responsible for overseeing public projects, to seriously consider ways to significantly improve the situation. The Asian economies are among the fastest growing economies in the world, and they are among the fastest growing economies in the world. A growing number of countries in the west are closely watching the fastgrowing Asian economies and strive to become part of this growth process in their own right as well, in order to become a part of this growth process in their own right

    Evaluating the Competitiveness of Government Mobile Apps: An Assessment of Their Impact on Society

    The strategy of mobile app implementation must be adjusted as the app progresses through different stages of maturity. The assessment of the quality of mobile apps used by governments is difficult as they progress through the stages of maturity of the service. A multi-item scale is proposed in this study to assess the quality of mobile apps provided by governments that involve transactions. An extensive review of research conducted by academic scholars and practitioners identified factors that influence the quality of mobile apps developed by the government. We conducted a survey of fully operational mobile apps using a questionnaire based on an analysis of reviews and interviews with users. The data was analysed quantitatively in order to develop a scale based on the responses received. Citizens can use this scale to evaluate the perceived quality of government mobile applications. According to the analysis of the data, seven constructs can be used to assess the quality of government apps on the demand side, including user friendliness, transaction transparency, loading speeds, flexibility, complete information, trust and safety, and efficiency

In this article, the author has attempted to do a detailed study and review of leading books in the field of technology as well as its impact on the economy and society. Understanding the current and future impact of technology and innovation would be extremely beneficial. Technology has changed not only how we produce and connect, but also allows more humans to create and test new objects and ideas, reducing the costs and risks of innovation, and product development, also in developing countries. Collaboration between the public and private sectors is essential to the success of the digital age. To avoid monopolies and protect citizens, governments and regulators must ensure that regulation keeps pace with innovation. The author is optimistic that fears over future employment will subside as we adopt more and more new technologies and enjoy their benefits. We are poised to experience widespread change in the coming years, which makes the future seem more promising

    Good vibrations: Do electrical therapeutic massagers work?

    Health, leisure and beauty activities are increasing in popularity, with a particular emphasis on self-help and alternative health practices. One product type that has increased sales with this expansion is the hand-held electric massager. These are products that use vibration as a means of alleviating muscular strains and pains, as well as promoting relaxation. Paradoxically, these products are extremely popular as gifts, but are soon discarded. A multi-disciplinary research team was commissioned by a British manufacturer of electrical consumer products to investigate user attitudes and perceptions of existing massagers, to identify areas of user dissatisfaction. The manufacturer was also concerned about a possible stigma attached to these products because of an association with sex aids. This paper provides an account of the perceptions of both consumers and therapists regarding the use of these products. Identifying the differences between the perceptions of consumers and therapists should help provide a basis for effective integration of user needs, manufacturer requirements, designers’ skills and sound therapeutic practice. The results provide insight to support the development of more effective hand-held massagers

    The Quality of Mathematics Education Technology Literature

    Background: The present study evaluated the quality of 1,165 scholarly literature papers about mathematics education technology literature.Purpose: The purpose of the present study was to determine the extent to which mathematics education technology literature reports the information needed to support the scientific basis of a study.Setting: N/AIntervention: N/AResearch Design: A systematic review was used to organize the data collection and analysis processes Data Collection and Analysis: A literature search was conducted to identify scholarly papers that addressed the use of technology in mathematics education. A coding process was developed to record descriptive information about each paper. The Quality Framework developed for this process provided a structure to identify key information across research types based on types of analyses conducted, assigning a certain number of possible points based on the type of research conducted.Findings: Dissertations accounted for a surprisingly high portion of the literature and research: 39.7% of the available literature and 57.0% of the research studies. The overall quality of the mathematics education technology literature was lower than we expected, averaging only 48.9% of the points possible. We noted that the quality of research papers, with respect to possible point values averaged 54.6% over four decades. For mathematics education technology researchers, manuscript reviewers, and editors, these results suggest that more attention is needed on the information being included and excluded from scholarly papers, especially with regard to connections to theoretical frameworks and research designs

    Research in Mathematics Educational Technology: Current Trends and Future Demands

    This systematic review of mathematics educational technology literature identified 1356 manuscripts addressing the integration of educational technology into mathematics instruction. The manuscripts were analyzed using three frameworks (Research Design, Teacher Knowledge, and TPACK) and three supplementary lenses (Data Sources, Outcomes, and NCTM Principles) to produce a database to support future research syntheses and meta-analyses. Preliminary analyses of student and teacher outcomes (e.g., knowledge, cognition, affect, and performance) suggest that the effects of incorporating graphing calculator and dynamic geometry technologies have been abundantly studied; however, the usefulness of the results was often limited by missing information regarding measures of validity, reliability, and/or trustworthiness

    Clonal Growth of Dermal Papilla Cells in Hydrogels Reveals Intrinsic Differences between Sox2-Positive and -Negative Cells In Vitro and In Vivo

    In neonatal mouse skin, two types of dermal papilla (DP) are distinguished by Sox2 expression: CD133+Sox2+ DP are associated with guard/awl/auchene hairs, whereas CD133+Sox2− DP are associated with zigzag (ZZ) hairs. We describe a three-dimensional hydrogel culture system that supports clonal growth of CD133+Sox2+, CD133+Sox2−, and CD133−Sox2− (non-DP) neonatal dermal cells. All three cell populations formed spheres that expressed the DP markers alkaline phosphatase, α8 integrin, and CD133. Nevertheless, spheres formed by CD133− cells did not efficiently support hair follicle formation in skin reconstitution assays. In the presence of freshly isolated P2 dermal cells, CD133+Sox2+ and CD133+Sox2− spheres contributed to the DP of both AA and ZZ hairs. Hair type did not correlate with sphere size. Sox2 expression was maintained in culture, but not induced significantly in Sox2− cells in vitro or in vivo, suggesting that Sox2+ cells are a distinct cellular lineage. Although Sox2+ cells were least efficient at forming spheres, they had the greatest ability to contribute to DP and non-DP dermis in reconstituted skin. As the culture system supports clonal growth of DP cells and maintenance of distinct DP cell types, it will be useful for further analysis of intrinsic and extrinsic signals controlling DP function

TheSystem for the Management, Assessment, Research, Training, Education, and Remediation ofTeamwork (SMARTER Teamwork) has three specific goals: 1) to equip students to work inteams by providing them with training and feedback, 2) to equip faculty to manage student teamsby providing them with information and tools to facilitate best practices, and 3) to equipresearchers to understand teams by broadening the system’s capabilities to collect additionaltypes of data so that a wider range of research questions can be studied through a secureresearcher interface. The three goals of the project support each other in hierarchical fashion:research informs faculty practice, faculty determine the students’ experience, which, if wellmanaged based on research findings, equips students to work in teams.
