Near-infrared Spectral Features in Single-aged Stellar Populations
Synthetic spectra for single-aged stellar populations of metallicities [M/H]
= -0.5, 0.0 and +0.5, ages = 3 to 17 Gyrs, and initial mass function exponents
x = 0.1 to 2.0 were built in the wavelength range 6000-10200 Angstrons. For
such we have employed the grid of synthetic spectra described in Schiavon &
Barbuy (1999), computed for the stellar parameters 2500 <= Teff <= 6000 K, -0.5
<= log g <= 5.0, [M/H] = -0.5, 0.0 and +0.5, and [alpha/Fe] = 0.0, together
with the isochrones by Bertelli et al. (1994) and Baraffe et al. (1998). The
behavior of the features NaI8190, CaII8662, TiO6600 and FeH9900 in the
integrated spectra of single stellar populations were studied in terms of
metallicity, initial mass function and age variations. The main conclusions are
that the NaI doublet is an IMF-sensitive feature, which is however sensitive
also to metallicity and age, whereas TiO, CaII and FeH are very sensitive to
metallicity and essentially insensitive to IMF and age.Comment: 13 pages + 7 figures, ApJ accepte
Varian Semantik pada Bentuk Duplet yang Tersebar di Wilayah Pemakaian Kabupaten Brebes
Wahyuni, Nur Eka. “Semantic variant of the duplet form spread over the area of use of brebes district”. Skripsi (S1) Study Programe of Indonesian Literature, Faculty of Humanities, Universitas Diponegoro. Mentor: I. Dr. M. Suryadi, M.Hum. II. Drs. Suharyo, M.Hum. [email protected]. August 2017.
The purpose of this study to describe the semantic variant of doublet form Javanese Brebes and Sundanese Brebes. In this study the authors take two districts as a sample of research areas consisting of the district of Banjarharjo and Ketanggungan.
Data collection methods in this research is a method of referring to the technique of record and record, as well as the method of abilities with interview techniques as research instruments. Data analysis method is descriptive qualitative. The theory used in this research is duplet theory and sociodialektologi theory.
The result of this research is finding the form of doublet of Java Language Brebes and Sundanese Brebes which is based on variant, that is (1) doublet based on area spread, covering area of Sundanese language, transition and Javanese language, (2) doublet based on form, duplet absolute-synonym and doublet absolute-homonyms, (3) doublet based on etymon, the doublet relics.

Multiple chiral doublet candidate nucleus Rh in a relativistic mean-field approach
Following the reports of two pairs of chiral doublet bands observed in
Rh, the adiabatic and configuration-fixed constrained triaxial
relativistic mean-field (RMF) calculations are performed to investigate their
triaxial deformations with the corresponding configuration and the possible
multiple chiral doublet (MD) phenomenon. The existence of MD
phenomenon in Rh is highly expected.Comment: 10 pages, 3 figure
Canceling Quadratic Divergences in a Class of Two-Higgs-Doublet Models
The Newton-Wu conditions for the cancellation of quadratic divergences in a
class of two-Higgs-doublet models are analyzed as to how they may be satisfied
with a typical extension of the Standard Model of particle interactions.Comment: 5 pages, no figur
New supersymmetric flux vacua of type II string theory and Generalized Complex Geometry
We study Minkowski supersymmetric flux vacua of type II string theory. Based
on the work by M. Grana, R. Minasian, M. Petrini and A. Tomasiello, we briefly
explain how to reformulate things in terms of Generalized Complex Geometry,
which appears to be a natural framework for these compactifications. In
particular, it provides a mathematical characterization of the internal
manifold, and one is then able to find new solutions, which cannot be
constructed as usual via T-dualities from a warped T^6 solution. Furthermore,
we discuss how, thanks to a specific change of variables, one can ease the
resolution of the orientifold projection constraints pointed out by P. Koerber
and D. Tsimpis. One is then able to find new solutions with intermediate SU(2)
structure.Comment: Contribution to the proceedings of the 4th EU RTN Workshop (09/2008,

Characterisation of a Thin Fully Depleted SOI Pixel Sensor with High Momentum Charged Particles
This paper presents the results of the characterisation of a thin, fully
depleted pixel sensor manufactured in SOI technology on high-resistivity
substrate with high momentum charged particles. The sensor is thinned to 70
m and a thin phosphor layer contact is implanted on the back-plane. Its
response is compared to that of thick sensors of same design in terms of signal
and noise, detection efficiency and single point resolution based on data
collected with 300 GeV pions at the CERN SPS. We observe that the charge
collected and the signal-to-noise ratio scale according to the estimated
thickness of the sensitive volume and the efficiency and single point
resolution of the thinned chip are comparable to those measured for the thick
sensors.Comment: 8 pages, 3 figures, submitted to Nucl. Instr. and Meth., section
IDM and not only
In this note, we discuss recent updates to a previous scan for the Inert
Doublet Model, a two Higgs doublet model with a dark matter candidate. We
explicitly show the inclusion of updated constraints on direct detection
reduces the allowed parameter space significantly. We furthermore discuss the
IDMS - an extension of the IDM with a complex singlet.Comment: 12 pages, 7 figures; Contribution to Corfu Summer Institute 2016
