Job Quality and Job Satisfaction Among Casino Workers: The Case of Foxwoods

This article examines the quality of casino jobs at the largest Indian casino in the United States. It uses survey responses to measure how Foxwoods\u27 employees evaluate various aspects of their jobs, and it also considers other aspects of job quality such as wages, fringe benefits, and wage inequality. The results are part of the growing literature that considers issues important to the gaming industry in the United States

NORMAL COORDINATE TREATMENT OF THE HYPOPHOSPHITE ION∗ION^{*}

The data are as follows: ($\Delta \sigma$ or $\nu, I, \rho) 467 cm^{-1} (5) 0.74, 822 cm^{-1} (1) d. 924 cm^{-1} (7) 0.84, 1048 cm^{-1} (10) \rho < < 0.5, 1088 cm-1 (5) 0.94, 1180 cm^{-1} d, 2311 cm-1 (5) d.$ and $2357 cm^{-1}$ (10) p. Also a normal coordinate treatment on the basis of the most probable model $C_{2v}$ was conducted for this ion. The normal coordinate treatment gave the above listed wave numbers as fundamentals and lent support to the assignment of $Tsuboi^{1}$ of $2357 cm^{-1}$ as the symmetric P-H Stretching motion ($A_{1}$ type) and $2311 cm^{-1}$ as the antisymmetric P-H stretching motion ($B_{1}$ type). Moreover the F matrix elements obtained for this ion were determined in such a manner that those potential constants for the $PH_{2}$ in $PH_{3}$ had nearly the same values as possible in $H_{2}PO_{2^{-}}$ and those for PO had nearly the same values as possible in $H_{2}PO_{2^{-}}$. In addition a report of the experimental work in progress on $D_{2}PO_{2}$- will be given.
