La participación de españoles en el ejército libertador en Cuba, 1895-1898

This article studies the Spanish participation in the Cuban army of liberation, during the war of 1895-1898, showing not only the numerical importance of these soldiers in the patriot army, but also their moral significance, bearing in mind that the war was against Spanish colonialism.En este trabajo se analiza cual fue la participación de los españoles en el Ejército Libertador cubano, durante la guerra de 1895 a 1898. Quedando de relieve no sólo lo que supuso numéricamente para las filas mambisas, sino también lo que significaba moralmente. No hay que olvidar que la guerra era contra el colonialismo español

Los deportados de la Guerra de los Diez Años (1868-1878)

The repressive colonial policy imposed in Cuba to erradicate the 1868 rebel movement presented two aspects: on the one hand, perventing the receipt of funds to support the uprising (confiscation of property), and on the other hand, demoralizing the rebels by deporting them. This policy was successful, and the rebel movement did not obtain Cuban independence.La política colonial represiva impuesta en Cuba para erradicar el movimiento rebelde en 1868, tuvo dos vertientes, por un lado, conseguir el bloqueo de fondos en apoyo de la insurrección (embargos de bienes) y, por otro, desmoralizar a los rebeldes a través de la deportación. Dicha política alcanzó su objetivo; por el contrario, el movimiento insurgente no logró la independencia para Cuba
