This study analyses the socio-demographic factors of a group of teachers and school headmasters and their job satisfaction. It explores potential correlations and links between socio-demographic factors, the subjects which they teach, their role at the educational institution and the level of job satisfaction. The data were collected from 128 female respondents (N=128) from nine regional communities in the Vidzeme region of Latvia. Respondents were between 22 and 73, with an average age of 49.  They were divided into five categories on the basis of age. There were also eight categories for subjects, teaching levels and the performed roles - the arts, the humanities, the social sciences, other sciences, preschool teachers (with students aged 1-7), primary school teachers (7-10), elementary school teachers (7-16) and headmasters. The study shows that job satisfaction among teachers is closely linked to the issue of whether they do or do not have children. Socio-demographic indicators such as partnership, the number of marriages, the number of marriages of their parents, and the existence of siblings - these indicated links, but not statistically significant ones in relation to the job satisfaction of teachers. The Likert scale was used to measure job satisfaction. The collected data were analysed with non-parametric methods

The feminism is becoming more popular in Latvia now, but it’s impossible to find some psichological instrument which is adapted in latvian language and which is useabled for measuring the charecteristic’s of feminist identity. In this article are displayed the Feministic Identity Development Scale (FIAS- in latvian) (the origional inquiry :Feministic Identity Development Scale (FIDS), Bargad Hyde, 1991), thous diferent versions of their adaption and also versions of their modifications; Cronbach’s Alpha from 0.5 to 0.8, and their version in latvian language. The adaptation of FIAS took part in three stages, the sample of the research consists only from women. The first sample consists form 330 women in age from 18 to 27 (M=18,75; SD=1,06) years old. The second and third sample consist form 501 women from 18 to 27 (M=20,33; SD=1,94) years old. The sample of Test- retest: 30 respondents. In the course of the instrument adaptation in the psychometrical analysis was appointed: the summary of FIAS factorial modification version, the factorial validity, the analysis of the affirmatory factors, the convergential and divergential validity of FIAS.The results gained in the course of inguiry the factorial modification version of FIAS- are acknowledged to be acceptable and instruments of the inguiry of the identity crisis – approved to be useful for futher usage in investigation and can be practically used for psychological researches in Latvia.

This study was conducted to ensure that the family environment research method “Satisfaction with the family live scale” (SWFL) (Agate, Zabriskie, et.al., 2009) can be adapted to Latvia’s circumstances. The research cohort (n=485) was made up of 161 men and 321 women aged 18-21. There were four hypotheses in the study: 1) SWFL should not be correlated with gender and age in the 18-22 age group; 2) SWFL should indicate positive correlation with cohesion in family and 3) negative correlation with conflicts in family 4) Items of instrument must establish one factor. The study analyses the adaptation of the survey and reflects the major results in terms of utilising the survey for scholarly research and practical work in relation to an examination of the family environment in Latvia. Internal compatibility was measured on the basis of the Cronbach alpha (ɑ = 0.86). The results of the research confirm the stated hypotheses and make it possible to conclude that adaptation of the survey was successful. The survey can, therefore, be used under Latvia’s circumstances, as wel

The tool for research the family environment, Family Environment Scale (FES) which is created by Moos and Moos in Latvia wasn’t adopted, that why is important to adopt this tool in environment of Latvia, because this will be chance for specialists to use good and multidimensional tool for research of family environment. The main goal of this article is to show the results of FES - R scale adaptation, this is why author in this article shows Family Environment Scale’s (Moos & Moos, 2009) Real form of scale adaptation in the environment of Latvia, the way of adaptation and comparative data for adapted and original version. FES - R had been adopted by using linguistic adaptation and statistical analysis for getting the general psychometric data which are necessary for process of the test adaptation and providing of validity for adaptation version of the test. At the result of process of adaptation with some insignificant changes in items of subscales of FES – R form, but with effort keep similarity with original version, finally was gotten adaptation version the FES – R form, which is usable for research in future

In the 21st century, a special place in education is occupied by sustainable development issues, which emphasize the unique role of education in shaping the public opinion. New pedagogical approaches, which show how education could contribute to the evolution of consciousness, are being sought. A shift of paradigms is happening in education: from knowledge memorization to skills, character, meta-learning (Education 2030: Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development competency framework). The research confirms, to successfully implement the proposed changes in modern pedagogical practice, it is valuable for the teachers to learn the psychology methods and techniques on how to improve and advance personality growth based on the knowledge shared by K.G. Jung, K. Wilber, and A. Maslow. research confirms it is valuable to acquire these methods during theoretical and practical activities for professional development. The study revealed that teacher’s professional competencies, such as communicative, methodological, organizational, creative skills and self-management, improve through familiarization and practical application of this knowledge. The aim of the study is to show the importance of how the psychological insights regarding the development of personality impact the pedagogical practice. Publisher Copyright: © 2022 Andrejs Erglis et al.Objectives. The study aimed to investigate the long-term outcomes of a double stent scaffold strategy in patients with left main (LM) bifurcation lesions involving the ostium of the left circumflex artery (LCX), utilizing a drug-eluting stent (DES) in the LM extending into the left anterior descending artery (LAD) and a bioresorbable vascular scaffold (BVS) in the LCX ostium. Background. The high occurrence of in-stent restenosis of the LCX ostium is the major limitation of percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for LM lesions with a two-stent strategy. Methods. This was a single-center, prospective, single-arm study of 46 consecutively enrolled patients with a stable coronary artery disease and significant unprotected LM distal bifurcation disease. Patients underwent imaging-guided PCI using DES in the LM-LAD and BVS in the LCX using a T-stent or mini-crush technique. The primary outcome at four years was the composite of death, myocardial infarction, stroke, and target lesion revascularization (TLR). Results. At four years, the primary outcome was identified in 9 patients (19.6%). All events were TLRs except one myocardial infarction due to BVS thrombosis. Seven of the eight TLRs were a result of side branch BVS restenosis. Univariate predictors of the 4-year outcome were higher LDL cholesterol and BVS size ≤2.5 mm. On multivariate analysis, LCX lesion preparation with a cutting balloon and post-procedure use of intravascular ultrasound for optimization were found to be independent protective factors of MACE. Conclusions. In selected patients with LM distal bifurcation disease, an imaging-guided double stent scaffold strategy with DES in the LM and BVS in the LCX ostium was technically successful in all patients and was reasonably safe and effective for four years.Peer reviewe
