Determination of clenbuterol with differential pulse anodic stripping voltammetry technique at tungsten disulfide-modified electrode

    Get PDF
In the present work, tungsten disulfide was synthesised and characterised by using X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. This material was employed to modify a glassy-carbon electrode to analyse clenbuterol. The results show that tungsten disulfide displays electrocatalytic activity toward clenbuterol oxidation. The proposed technique is prospective for clenbuterol examination. The limit of detection and the linear range are 0.51 mM and 1–210 mM

ADSORPTION OF MERCURIC ION FROM AQUEOUS SOLUTIONS USING MODIFIED FLY ASH

    Get PDF
In this study, fly ash was treated with NaOH solution (FAN) before modifying with (3-mercaptopropyl) triethoxysilane - MPTMS (FAMPS). By using FTIR, FESEM, XRD, EDX, and BET techniques, the change in structure, composition and morphology of FAN and FAMPS was evaluated. The FTIR spectra of FAN and FAMPS showed that there is no chemical reaction between the MPTMS and FAN. After modification, the FAMPS has a rough surface with composition difference from the FAN. Mercuric ion adsorption behavior as well as adsorptionisotherm models (Langmuir and Freundlich) of the FAN and FAMPS were also investigated and discussed. Thanks to FAN modification, the mercuric ion removal percent of the FAMPS was higher than that of the FAN. Owing to the adsorption data, Freundlich isotherm modelwas fitted for the mercuric ion adsorption process

Shortage in Access to Basic Social Services: A Case Study of Ethnic Minority Groups in Vietnam

    Get PDF
The research uses shortages in the multi-dimensional poverty criteria and household living standards survey data collected by the General Statistic Office to evaluate the access to basic social services by ethnic minorities. The result shows significant differences in shortages between the Kinh and ethnic minorities, among ethnic minority groups and among localities. Differences in geographical location, level of development and lacking specific policies are the main causes. A number of policy recommendations has been made to narrow the gap in access to basic social services among ethnic minority groups in Vietnam. Design a cryptosystem using elliptic curves cryptography and VigenĂšre symmetry key

    Get PDF
In this paper describes the basic idea of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) as well as VigenĂšre symmetry key. Elliptic curve arithmetic can be used to develop elliptic curve coding schemes, including key exchange, encryption, and digital signature. The main attraction of elliptic curve cryptography compared to Rivest, Shamir, Adleman (RSA) is that it provides equivalent security for a smaller key size, which reduces processing costs. From the theorical basic, we proposed a cryptosystem using elliptic curves and VigenĂšre cryptography. We proposed and implemented our encryption algorithm in an integrated development environment named visual studio 2019 to design a safe, secure, and effective cryptosystem

Factors Influencing Consumer Behavior to Purchase Vegan Cosmetics in Vietnam

    Get PDF
The research aims to examine the factors that significantly influenced consumer behavior to purchase vegan cosmetics in Vietnam, including Reference Group, Consumer Perception, Salesperson Attitude, Product Quality, Price, Place, Promotion, and Brand. Data was collected through self-administered close-ended questionnaire from a sample of 480 consumers in Vietnam. For analysis purpose, SPSS 22 were used to confirm the validity concerns and determine the proposed relationship among selected variables. The output reveals that product quality is the strongest influencers of consumer behaviour to purchase vegan cosmetics, followed by Reference Group, Salesman Attitude, Place, Price, Promotion, Brand and Consumer Perception. This study provides a ‘snapshot’ to the government and cosmetics businesses about the determinants of consumer behaviour to purchase vegan cosmetics in Vietnam. Reflective learning practice for promoting adolescent EFL learners’ attention to form

    Get PDF
To address learners’ low attention to form in peer interaction, the current study investigated the impact of reflective learning practice intervention that aims to promote learners’ attention to form. Sixty-eight adolescent EFL learners (Mage = 15.6, SD = 7.05) formed reflective learning practice and control groups. The reflective practice group received a treatment that was designed following the reflective learning model with the goal of increasing learners’ attention to form. Pre/post-tests results showed that learners’ attention to form in the type of self-correction and metalinguistic talk increased over time. Self-reports revealed that learners perceived the reflective learning practice as beneficial, particularly encouraging them to attend to language form and establish collaborative mindset. However, factors such as learners’ approach to tasks, social relationship, perceptions of feedback provision, and proficiency appeared to mediate the effectiveness of the treatment. The results suggest reflective learning practice as a pedagogical tool to promote effective peer interaction

Factors affecting Chinese tourist’s loyalty towards Ho Chi Minh City - A mediation analysis of tourists’ perceived value

    Get PDF
The purpose of this research was to examine empirically the causal relationships among push factors, pull factors, risk perception, tourists’ perceived value and loyalty of Chinese tourists travelling to Ho Chi Minh City. A survey was conducted investigating 470 Chinese tourists to collect the primary data. As a result, Chinese tourists’ loyalty towards Ho Chi Minh City could be predicted by some of their push motivation, pull motivation and their perceived value about the trip or tourists’ services received. Consequently, business organizations and tourism companies should consider the crucial roles of push and pull factors to attract more potential repeated visitors and increase their perceived value and loyal to Vietnam, especially to Ho Chi Minh City in the near future
