Research on Intellectual Capital Business Model in China: A Case Study in K Group
Focus on the practice of intellectual capital business model (ICBM) in high technology enterprises in China would be very important to the development of Chinese economic reform. The case study of K Group shows that we should examine the intellectual property right (IPR) protection system from three-dimensional perspective constituting law, economics and management to fully understand the ICBM. Policy recommendations following for the analysis can then help Chinese high technology enterprises strengthen their international competitiveness and raise their IPR protection level higher in the future
Molecular docking via quantum approximate optimization algorithm
Molecular docking plays a pivotal role in drug discovery and precision
medicine, enabling us to understand protein functions and advance novel
therapeutics. Here, we introduce a potential alternative solution to this
problem, the digitized-counterdiabatic quantum approximate optimization
algorithm (DC-QAOA), which utilizes counterdiabatic driving and QAOA on a
quantum computer. Our method was applied to analyze diverse biological systems,
including the SARS-CoV-2 Mpro complex with PM-2-020B, the DPP-4 complex with
piperidine fused imidazopyridine 34, and the HIV-1 gp120 complex with
JP-III-048. The DC-QAOA exhibits superior performance, providing more accurate
and biologically relevant docking results, especially for larger molecular
docking problems. Moreover, QAOA-based algorithms demonstrate enhanced hardware
compatibility in the noisy intermediate-scale quantum era, indicating their
potential for efficient implementation under practical docking scenarios. Our
findings underscore quantum computing's potential in drug discovery and offer
valuable insights for optimizing protein-ligand docking processes.Comment: 10 pages, 5 figures, All comments are welcom
First Total Synthesis of a Naturally Occurring Iodinated 5′-Deoxyxylofuranosyl Marine Nucleoside
4-Amino-7-(5′-deoxy-β-D-xylofuranosyl)-5-iodo-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine 1, an unusual naturally occurring marine nucleoside isolated from an ascidan, Diplosoma sp., was synthesized from D-xylose in seven steps with 28% overall yield on 10 g scale. The key step was Vorbrüggen glycosylation of 5-iodo-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidine with 5-deoxy-1,2-O-diacetyl-3-O-benzoyl-D-xylofuranose. Its absolute configuration was confirmed
Recombinant expression and functional analysis of a Chlamydomonas reinhardtii bacterial-type phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase gene fragment
To investigate the function of a bacterial-type phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase (PEPC2) derived from photosynthetically-grown Chlamydomonas reinhardtii, a fragment of the pepc2 gene was cloned and expressed in Escherichia coli. After optimal induction for 6 h, PEPC activity in the reverse mutant was lower than wild type (0.9 vs. 1.7 U/mg protein), and soluble protein was also lower than wild type (119 vs. 186 mg/g dry wt). In contrast, the total lipid content was increased from 56 (in wild type) to 71 mg/g dry wt, despite the growth rate being slightly diminished. The changes in PEPC activity, soluble protein and total lipid in the forward mutant were the opposite (2.4 U/mg, 230 mg/g, and 44 mg/g dry wt, respectively). Together, these data indicate that PEPC may function as a metabolic pivot in the regulation of protein and lipid accumulation in this alga
Erchen Decoction Prevents High-Fat Diet Induced Metabolic Disorders in C57BL/6 Mice
Erchen decoction (ECD) is a traditional Chinese medicine prescription, which is used in the treatment of obesity, hyperlipidemia, fatty liver, diabetes, hypertension, and other diseases caused by retention of phlegm dampness. In this study we investigated the potential mechanism of ECD, using metabolism-disabled mice induced by high-fat diet. Body weight and abdominal circumference were detected. OGTT was measured by means of collecting blood samples from the tail vein. Blood lipid levels and insulin were measured using biochemical assay kit. Real-time PCR was used to measure the CDKAL1 gene expression and western blot was used to measure the protein expression. Through the research, it was found that ECD showed markedly lower body weight and abdominal circumference than those in the HFD group. Consistently, we observed that ECD significantly improved glucose tolerance, promoted the secretion of insulin and decreased the level of TG, TC level. Meanwhile, we observed significantly increased CDKAL1 mRNA and protein level in the ECD group. Therefore, we speculate that the potential molecular mechanism of ECD is to promote the CDKAL1 expression, ameliorate islet cell function, and raise insulin levels to regulate the metabolic disorder
{1,8-Bis[2-(2-oxidobenzylideneamino)phenoxy]-3,6-dioxaoctane}nitratopraseodymium(III) trichloromethane solvate
In the title compound, [Pr(C32H30N2O6)(NO3)]·CHCl3, the PrIII ion is ten-coordinated by eight O atoms and two N atoms from the acyclic crown-type Schiff base ligand and the bidentate nitrate group. The coordination polyhedron around PrIII is a distorted bicapped square antiprism. The chloroform solvent molecule is not involved either in coordination to the PrIII center or in hydrogen bonding to the complex. The Pr—O(phenolate) bonds are significantly shorter than the Pr—O(ether) and Pr—O(nitrate) bonds, which suggests that the Pr—O(phenolate) bond is stronger than these other bonds. In the crystal structure, the acyclic crown-type Schiff base ligand wraps around the PrIII centre, forming a pseudo-ring
