    The fast changes and complexity of busines environment in global situation has forced many companies to make transformation in organization for gaining sustainable competitive advantage. Facing this new challenge, many of them have made human resource transformation. High standard quality of competencies of human resource professionals are needed to perform their roles excellently, in order to be succeeded in implementing human resource transformation . This survey research identifies and describes competencies of human resource professionals and the current execution of their roles. It also examines the significant influence of those competencies on roles of human resource professionals within human resource transformation. Respondents are Human Resource Manager or similar position in human resource or the person in charge in human resource. Convenience sampling is used to obtain samples in the communities of Human Resource Managers in Sidoarjo dan Pasuruan. Referring to complexity of the research framework and amount of samples, partial least square is used to analyse data. This research analyses the significant influence of HR Competencies on HR Roles. The result shows that HR Competencies on HR Professional Competencies have the most significant influence on HR Roles on Operational Focus. In conclusion, the respondents' position is still on traditional human resource function and work more on day-to-day activities (operational). It reveals that human resource transformation is not done in their companies yet. Implication to repondents is that they need human resource consultant to help them implement human resource transformation because they are still lack of competencies and roles

    Background: Occupational accidents are generally caused by 2 main points of unsafe action and unsafe condition. Several previous studies have shown that unsafe behavior significantly affects the onset of occupational accidents. Purpose: The purpose of this research was to study the factors associated with unsafe behavior expected to prevent the occurrence of occupational accidents. Methods: This research was an observational analitical one with cross sectional design and using questionnaire to obtain primary data. The variables studied were personal factors (age, education, knowledge of Occupational, Safety and Health (OSH), fatigue and unsafe behavior. The samples of this research were 39 respondents taken randomly from population (43 workers) who were pile workers in PT Waskita Karya (Persero), Tbk KLBM Toll Project Section 2 Area Waduk Bunder. Data analysis in this research used spearman statistic test. Result: The result showed that from 39 respondents, 33 respondents (84.61%) did unsafe behavior in medium category and 6 respondents (15,39%) did unsafe behavior in high category. Of the four variables studied, researcher obtained that the value of correlation coefficient of age with unsafe behavior is -3.323, knowledge K3 with unsafe behavior is -0,545. While education and fatigue had no correlation with unsafe behavior. Conclusion: Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that the higher the age the lower the unsafe behavior or vice versa, the higher the level of knowledge of OSH the lower the unsafe behavior or vice versa

    Produksi Umbi Mini Kentang Secara Aeroponik Melalui Penentuan Dosis Optimum Pupuk Daun Nitrogen

    Persentase stolon menjadi umbi pada produksi umbi mini kentang secara aeroponik diperkirakan hanya 5–10%, sehingga masih terdapat peluang untuk meningkatkan produksi umbi mini dengan melakukan induksi pengumbian. Penelitian bertujuan untuk meningkatkan produksi umbi mini kentang melalui peningkatan induksi pengumbian dengan berbagai dosis pupuk daun nitrogen. Percobaan dilaksanakan di Rumah Plastik di Lembang, Bandung Barat, Jawa Barat mulai Bulan Desember 2010 sampai dengan Juli 2011. Percobaan menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok dengan satu faktor dosis pupuk daun nitrogen yaitu 0, 500, 1000, 2000, dan 4000 ppm N dengan enam ulangan. Pupuk nitrogen yang digunakan ialah Ca(NO3)2 yang diaplikasikan 1, 2, 3, dan 4 minggu setelah tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk daun nitrogen Ca(NO3)2 dapat meningkatkan produksi umbi mini kentang melalui peningkatan bobot umbi per tanaman sebesar 17%, tetapi belum dapat meningkatkan induksi pengumbian tanaman kentang pada sistem aeroponik. Dosis optimum pupuk daun nitrogen Ca(NO3)2 untuk bobot umbi per tanaman maksimum ialah 2173 ppm. Peningkatan bobot umbi mini per tanaman pada sistem aeroponik dapat memberikan manfaat sebagai sumber benih

    Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui Pengaruh Pajak Progresif Kendaraan Bermotor terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah Kota Malang. Sejauh apakah efektifitas dan kontribusi sebelum penerapan dan sesudah penerapan Perda no 9 Tahun 2010 tentang Pajak Kendaraan Bermotor. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah data primer dan sekunder. Data yang digunakan adalah data tentang Pajak Kendaraan Bermotor dan Pendapatan Asli Daerah Kota Malang periode 2008-2013. Analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi sederhana dan pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji t. Penelitian ini menganalisis dan membandingkan antara sebelum penerapan pajak dan sesudah penerapan pajak. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa penerapan Perda no 9 Tahun 2010 tentang Pajak Kendaraan Bermotor sudah dikatakan efektif, sebab rataan dalam 3 tahun telah mencapai sebesar 100,31%. Tetapi bila di bandingkan dengan sebelum penerapan Perda No 9 Tahun 2010 tentang Pajak Kendaraan Bermotor atau setelah januari 2011 lebih tinggi efektifivitas sebelum penerapan Perda ini. besarnya presentase rataan 3 tahun sebesar 119,31%. Pada kontribusi juga sama, pencapaian dari pajak kendaraan bermotor memang lebih baik sebelum penerapan Perda No 9 Tahun 2010 tentang Pajak Kendaraan Bermotor daripada setelah penerapan perda ini. Pencapaian kontribusi realisasi sebelum pajak progresif berlaku sebesar 3,51% dan setelah pajak progresif ini berlaku sebesar 3,47%

Protective mechanism of casein-based microcapsule containing mannitol on L. acidophilus and L. lactis ssp. cremoris and glass transition of the microcapsules were studied after spray- or freeze-drying and after 10 week of storage in aluminum foil pouch containing different desiccants (NaOH, LiCl or silica gel) at 25°C. An in situ FTIR analysis was carried out to recognize any changes in fatty acids of bacterial cell envelopes; interaction between polar site of cell envelopes and microcapsules, as well as alteration of their secondary protein structures, whereas DSC was used to determine glass transition (Tg) of microcapsules. Hierarchical cluster analysis based on functional groups of phospholipid bilayers of cell envelopes and secondary protein structures was also carried out to classify the microencapsulated bacteria. The results showed that drying process did not affect fatty acids and secondary protein structures of bacteria, however, those structures were affected during storage depending upon the type of desiccant. Interaction between bacterial cell envelopes and microencapsulant occurred after drying as shown by alteration of wavelength of P = O symmetric of cell envelopes from 1075 cm−1 to 1047 and 1048 cm−1 (fresh L. acidophilus, freeze-dried and spray dried cells, respectively). Similar phenomenon was demonstrated by L. cremoris. However, these structures were maintained after storage in foil pouch containing NaOH. Method of drying and type of desiccants influenced the level of similarities of microencapsulated bacteria. Desiccants and method of drying affected glass transition; yet no Tg ≤ 25°C was detected. This study demonstrated that the changes in fatty acids and secondary structures of the microencapsulated bacteria still occurred during storage at Tg above the room temperature indicating that glass state did not completely prevent chemical activities.link_to_OA_fulltex
