    Karakteristik Briket Biocoal dengan Penambahan Sekam Padi dan Wax

    Biocoal made by mixing Sub-Bituminous Tanjung Enim coal with rice skin biomass to make biocoal briquette that will have calorific value suitable for domestic consumption and also have a quicker initial burning time that has been a problem in applying briquette. The rice skin biomass was mixed in 10 gram – 50 gram compositions with 1 gram – 5 gram variations of wax to a fixed weight of 100 gram coal. The size of coal was also studied, which was 50 mesh, 70 mesh, 140 mesh and 220 mesh. The result shown that all briquettes had calorific values (5014 – 5891 cal/gram) that are in range of biocoal standard (5500 – 6000cal/gram)with a quicker initial burning time (2:35 – 16:58 minutes).     Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a social responsibility for a business organization against its stakeholder group. PKBL is a form of BUMN social responsibility. According to Law No.19 of 2003 on BUMN, where one of the purposes and objectives of BUMN establishment is to actively provide guidance and assistance to weak economic entrepreneurs, cooperatives and communities, as well as policies that state that BUMN can set aside a portion of their net profit for the purpose of business development small, cooperative as well as community development around BUMN, then PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) is committed in the implementation of Partnership Program. Partnership Program is a program to increase the ability of small business to be tough and independent. The purpose of this study, namely to determine how much influence CSR program PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) branch of Riau to the success of UMKM in the city of Pekanbaru.The theory used in this research is Stimulus-Organism-Response (S-O-R) theory. The method used in this research is explanative quantitative method. Technique of collecting data in this research using direct questionnaires distributing to UMKM which have become Partners of PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) Branch of Riau with sample 68 determined by random sampling technique. To know the influence of both variables, the researcher use simple linear regression analysis.Based on the results of research on the influence of CSR program PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) Riau branch on the success of UMKM in the city of Pekanbaru, obtained regression coefficient value in this study is Y = 8.282 + 0.577 X with a significance level of 0.000. Of course smaller than α = 0.05. This means that there is influence CSR program PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) branch of Riau to the success of SMEs in the city of Pekanbaru by 75.7% and enter the category strongly influenced. The percentage indicates that the PT Jasa Raharja (Persero) branch of CSR program is very influential towards the happening of UMKM in Pekanbaru city. Thus H0 is rejected and Ha accepted

    The Characteristic of Deep Sea Foraminiferal Community in Tomini Bay, Sulawesi

    A total of 14 sediment samples from Tomini Bay, Sulawesi were used for this study as a component of sediment. The samples were carried out by using a gravity corer at water depth range between 600 and 1400 m. This study was a part of mapping activity on marine geology and geophysics during the first cruise of R/V Geomarin III in 2010. The purpose of this study was to examine the subsurface geology related to the potency of energy and mineral resources. Top core sediment samples were washed through 0.063mm opening sieve and then dried in an oven. About maximum 300 foraminiferal specimens were picked from every dried washed residue sample to separate them from other particles under a binocular microscope with brush and water. The result showed that most samples were dominated by planktonic foraminifera (>90%), such as Globorotalia menardii, Orbulina universa, Globigerinoides ruber and others as typical of deep sea sediments. On the other hand, benthic foraminifera was found less than 10% that was represented by Cibicidoides wuellerstorfi, Ceratobulimina pacifica, Pyrgo sp., Bolivinita quadralatera, Uvigerina peregrina, etc. The characteristic of deep sea foraminiferal community of this area may be used for interpreting environmental deposition in the adjacent areas that is useful for petroleum exploration

    Foraminifera Bentik Terkait dengan Kondisi Lingkungan Perairan Sekitar Pulau Damar, Kepulauan Seribu

    Secara umum, kondisi lingkungan perairan di bagian Selatan Kepulauan Seribu cenderung lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan bagian Utara karena pengaruh polusi dari daratan. Salah satu pulau yang terletak di bagian selatan tersebut adalah Pulau Damar Besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran foraminifera bentik di perairan Pulau Damar Besar, Kepulauan Seribu terkait dengan kondisi lingkungan setempat. Dari 12 stasiun pengambilan sampel, teridentifikasi 64 spesies dari 10968 individu foraminifera bentik. Beberapa spesies foraminifera yang dijumpai hidup bersimbiosis dengan terumbu karang, seperti Amphistegina lessonii, Amphistegina radiata, Sorites marginalis, Heterostegina sp., dan Calcarina calcar. Berdasarkan indeks keragaman, keseragaman dan dominansi, struktur komunitas di foraminifera bentik di Pulau Damar Besar cenderung seragam. Namun berdasarkan hierarchical cluster analysis diperoleh empat kelompok sebaran dengan penciri masing-masing yang berbeda. Nilai indeks diversitas sekitar 3,48-3,84 yang menunjukkan lingkungan perairan di sekitar pulau ini dalam kondisi bagus. One of the islands in this southern part is Damar Besar Island. The purpose of this study is to recognize foraminiferal distribution from this island related to its environmental condition. From 12 sampling stations, it can be identified 64 species from 10968 individuals of benthic foraminifera. Several species are associated with coral reef such as Amphistegina lessonii, Amphistegina radiata, Sorites marginalis, Heterostegina sp., dan Calcarina calcar. Based on the diversity, evenness and dominance indexes, it seems that the community structure of benthic foraminifera in the study area tends to be equal. However, based on hierarchical cluster analysis, it is resulted four groups of distribution that characterized by their own shallow waters species. The diversity index is 3,48-3,84 that shows good environmental condition in the study area

    Cross-sex friendship is often regarded as a romantic relationship. The lack ofsocial norms that managed these relationships in society makes the individuals dealingwith the challenge of maintaining relationships. Young adults become one of thecategories that face this challenge because at this time the relationship between men andwomen is more prominent than the other phases. Based on his romantic intentions, cross-sex friendship is divided into four types, strictly platonic, mutual romance, rejectsromance, and desires romance. This research was conducted to find out the challengesfaced in cross-sex friendship and strategy to maintain the relationship. This research usesqualitative method with phenomenology approach. Methods of data collection used inthis study are semi-structured interviews and observation. The study\u27s informantsconsisted of four people or two pairs of young adults who are in cross-sex friendship.Research shows that individual differences in seeing the friendship of the opposite sexcause different challenges and strategies to maintain cross-sex friendships

    Studi Ergonomi pada Penyiapan Lahan Sawah Lebak Menggunakan Alat Tradisional Tajak di Kabupaten Banjar Kalimantan Selatan

    Traditional local farmers in South Kalimantan conventionally do the field preparation by using a traditional tool named “tajak”. This typical traditional tool is very appropriate for land preparation in marshland field which is enabling to cultivate without raising the pirit (FeS2) layer. However, it is quite difficult, hard and dangerous to operate tajak, and it's difficult to learn by a novis operator as well. Therefore, ergonomics study will be beneficial to develop more convenient, safe and effective tajak. The result of workload analysis revealed that tajak operation is an “extremey hard” workload, whichs the avarage of IRHR is 2.14. The workload level of tajak operation is indicatively by workload intencity and swing elevation. Regarding the Total energy cost per weight (TEC') and hours of work (JOK), the tajak operation consumes 5.36 kcal/kg.hour and need 61.07 hour/ha in average. Anthropometri and motion study analysed revealed that the dimentional suitability of tajak tool is strongly related to shoulders and waist heightly, arms length, and hands grips diameter. Based on the result of tajak anthropometri and motion analyses, for better design of tajak's handle was recommended 75.70 cm
