    Kepraktisan Bahan Ajar Statistika Pendidikan Fisika Bermuatan Model Cooperative Problem Solving

    The statistics of physics education are compulsory course with a lot of material descriptions so the lectures must be assisted by the use of teaching materials. The lectures of statistics of  physics education  that took place in the July-December 2017 semester illustrates that: 1) teaching materials are less attractive to students, 2) the assignments given are quite clear and sufficient in accordance with the level of thinking of students, 3) materials delivered by the lecturer is in accordance with the targets in the syllabus with some material is still abstract, 4) the lecture have been pursued in accordance with the syllabus but the methods used have not varied and 5) students learn material of statistic of physics education only from the lecturer explanation so that only a few students can answer statistical problems quickly and correctly. This indicates that it is need provided teaching materials with a cooperative problem solving model. The author has tried to design teaching materials of statistic of physics education  with cooperative problem solving models with very valid criteria according to the assessment of six experts with educational qualifications of statistics and physics education. However, this teaching material has not been tested at normal conditions in the lectures so that the level of practicality has not been revealed. The aim of this study was to determine the practicality level of educational statistical teaching materials containing cooperative problem solving models according to users, namely lecturers and students who listed in the course. Type of research is research and devel-opment with the ADDIE model. The ADDIE model stands for Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluation. This research is part of the Implementation stage where development products are implemented in real terms so that the level of practicality can be measured with indicators of ease of use, attractiveness and efficiency. Data collection used student response questionnaires and lecturer response questionnaires with a Likert scale. Data analysis used descriptive statistic analysis techniques. The results showed that teaching materials of physics education statistics  had very practical criteria (lecturers opinion) and practical (students opinion). The conclusion of this study is the  teaching materials of statistic of physics education  with cooperative problem solving model  has been practically used in lecture

    This research is important as a solution to the problems faced by most students in the Physics Education Statistics course. The problem in this study is that students have not been able to solve the statistical problems correctly, becausetheir ability in solving the statistical problems given by lecturers in the class is low. This is also caused by abstract and difficult material to understand by students. In addition, the source books used in lectures are only in the form of a reference books and have not been oriented to problem-solving steps related to daily life such as educational issues. This study aims to analyze the needs in developing teaching materials of Physics Education Statistics with Problem Solving model. This research is an early stage of research and development using ADDIE model in the form of analysis phase. Data collected by using questionnaire given to physics education students listed on semester July-December 2017. Data analysis technique used in the form of descriptive statistical analysis. The results show several things; 1) The teaching materials used by the lecturers in the course have not been entirely appealing for the students to be reviewed independently, 2) the task that has been given by the lecturer are able to motivate the students to solve it, 3) lecturers have provided guidance to students in solving problems, but not yet using varied method, 4) the material presented in the lecture has not been fully understood by the students, as some of the material is still abstract, 5) Only a small percentage of students can answer statistical problems quickly and correctly, 6) Students have enough basic math skills, but only some students can use the statistical formula correctly, and 7) Students who are able to correctly depict distribution and graphic curves are sufficient. The conclusion of this study is the need of development of teaching materials Statistics of Physics Education using problem solving model

    The Improvement of The Competency of Science Teachers Using Science KIT: Optimizing Scientific Learning

    Based on observations and interviews with a science teacher at a junior high school in Pesisir Selatan Regency, it is known that there are still many science teachers who have not carried out practicum activities in scientific learning. Science kits are rarely used by teachers in science learning. The main reason is that the competence of science teachers in operating the science kit is still low. To improve the competence of science teachers in using KIT, it is very necessary to carry out activities to optimize the use of KIT for science teachers. The purpose of this study was to improve the competence of science teachers in using IPA KIT as a support for scientific learning. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest using multiple choice test instruments at the beginning and at the end of the study. From the results of this study, it is known that there is an increase in the competence of science teachers in using science kits, with the percentage increase of 29.25%

    Pembelajaran dengan penyampaian informasi, contoh, dan latihan kurang menarik bagi siswa. Siswa cenderung pasif dalam proses pembelajaran, sehingga hasil belajar fisika siswa rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran aktif tipe Group To Group Exchange (GGE) terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 5 Padang. Hipotesis kerja dalam penelitian adalah ”Terdapat pengaruh yang berarti penerapan pembelajaran aktif tipe Group To Group Exchange (GGE) terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian eksperimen semu dengan rancangan penelitian Randomized Control Group Only Design. Data hasil belajar siswa pada ranah kognitif diperoleh dari tes hasil belajar dan data hasil belajar siswa pada ranah afektif diperoleh dari lembaran observasi. Hasil analisis data ranah kognitif menggunakan uji t diperoleh bahwa thitung berada di luar daerah penerimaan Ho, sehingga hipotesis kerja yang dikemukakan dalam penelitian diterima dengan taraf kepercayaan 95%. Hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh yang berarti penerapan pembelajaran aktif tipe Group To Group Exchange (GGE) terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa pada ranah kognitif. Hasil analisis data ranah afektif menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan aktivitas siswa pada kelas eksperimen dibandingkan dengan kelas kontrol. Hal ini berarti terdapat pengaruh penerapan pembelajaran aktif tipe Group To Group Exchange (GGE) terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa pada ranah afektif.Kata kunci: Pembelajaran Aktif, Group To Group Exchange (GGE), Hasil Belaja

    This study aims to analyze preliminary data on lecture conditions as the needs in developing science teaching aids. This research is the initial stage of research and development using the development model proposed by Plomp, namely preliminary research. Data collected by using questionnaire given to physics education students semester July-December 2017. Data analysis technique used in the form of descriptive statistical analysis.The results of this study are: 1) the available teaching materials are quite varied, 2) the assignments given in lectures can help students in understanding the material, 3) control of ideas and project work in lectures is still lacking, so students have limitations to develop their creativity, and 4)the students have considerable potential in understanding the material, but the number of students who have ideas in solving problems and who are able to correct friends' answers, and those who actively ask are still low.It can be conclude that the development science teaching aids based on project-based learning need to be done to improve student creativity

    Liveworksheet-Based Student Worksheet for Senior High School in Physics Learning

    Physics learning should be equipped with technology-assisted student worksheets following the demands of the 2013 curriculum and contain steps in the scientific approach. This study aimed to produce electronic student worksheets based on liveworksheets on sound waves. This research is development research using the ADDIE model, which consists of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This research was conducted in a school in Salimpaung. Data collection is based on product validation and trial results. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistics. The validation results of the three validators who rated it gave an average score of 87.4% in the "highly valid" category. The result of the product trial by 25 students achieved an average score of 91% with the criteria of "very practical ."Student understanding seems to increase after using electronic student worksheets. Thus, the products developed are easy and interesting to use in learning physics and can increase student understanding. It is suggested that future researchers develop electronic student worksheets on different materials

    Increasing the Competence of Physics Teachers in Designing PjBL-Based Teaching Aids for the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum

    A visual aid is an object that can be used as a support for physical science activities. Teaching aids can be designed by the teacher using readily available materials. The competence of physics teachers in Pasaman Barat Regency has not been optimal in compiling PjBL-based Physics teaching aids student worksheets. So, the facts found in the field show that the professional competence and pedagogical competence of physics teachers in Pasaman Barat Regency in physics learning are not optimal. Therefore, it is necessary to increase the competency of Physics teachers in designing PjBL-based teaching aids. This type of research is quasi-experimental research. The treatment is in the form of assistance in making teaching aids based on PjBL. Bimtek activities in the form of practical assistance increase the competency of activity participants, which in this case are Physics teachers in Pasaman Barat Regency. The increase in the competence of physics teachers in Pasaman Barat Regency in making PjBL-based physics teaching aids was 24.17%. In addition, the mentoring activities provided are effective for increasing the mastery of MGMP Physics teachers in the Pasaman Barat Regency of the PjBL model material.     The Improvement of Physics Teachers’ Competence in Developing an Interactive Recitation Programs to Remediate Students’ Misconception

    During learning from home, the teacher is very limited in giving feedback on assignments. Consequently, students’ understanding of physics concepts is still low and experiencing misconceptions. Therefore, teachers should able to develop an interactive recitation program completed by corrective feedback that could remediate students’ misconceptions. The research objective is to improve the competence of physics teachers at Sijunjung Regency through mentoring in developing an interactive recitation program. This sort of research is quasi-experimental with one-group pretest-posttest design. The research data was obtained from the pretest and posttest about understanding of the interactive recitation programs. The results showed that there was an increase in the knowledge of high school physics teachers in understanding the interactive recitation program with a percentage of 32.4%, and the provision of mentoring activities have a significant effect on increasing the competence of physics teachers in developing interactive recitation programs

    The Improvement of Science Teachers’ Competence in Developing the Integrated Sciences Worksheets Based on Scientific Literacy to Support the Implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum

    In preparation for the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, science learning in schools still has problems, namely; 75% of science teachers have not been able to design real problems in everyday life as scientific contexts, and only 50% of science teachers can integrate science material in an integrated manner on worksheets, and there are still very few science teachers who are ready to implement the curriculum. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of providing technical guidance (Bimtek) on developing scientific literacy-based worksheets on the competence of science teachers. The Bimtek activity consists of six stages: pretest, material debriefing, technical guidance (Bimtek), independent activities, evaluation monitoring, and posttest. From the Bimtek activities carried out for science teachers at MGMP Pesisir Selatan districts significantly increased teacher competence in developing scientific literacy-oriented worksheets. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, it was found that the post-test average score was higher than the pretest average score. The science teacher pretest average score was 39.95, while the science teacher posttest average score was 62.10. The percentage increase in teacher competence is 23%

    Analysis of Teaching Material Needs Based on a Contextual Approach Use Liveworksheet on Dynamic Fluid Materials

    This research aims to identify the needs of teachers and students in a material-based approach to learning physics at SMA Negeri 2 Padang. The current teaching materials are general and less interesting for students. The study uses a contextual approach to analyze material and present learning more meaningful and relevant to students' real lives. A questionnaire and journal analysis were conducted with 68 students and one teacher in high school Negeri 2 Padang. The results showed that learning is still teacher-centered and there is no special approach to overcome students' problem-solving abilities. There is also no integrated teaching materials yet, and the study suggests that materials need to be developed to develop a teach-based approach contextually using Liveworksheets on fluid dynamic materials
