Some properties of angular integrals
We find new representations for Itzykson-Zuber like angular integrals for
arbitrary beta, in particular for the orthogonal group O(n), the unitary group
U(n) and the symplectic group Sp(2n). We rewrite the Haar measure integral, as
a flat Lebesge measure integral, and we deduce some recursion formula on n. The
same methods gives also the Shatashvili's type moments. Finally we prove that,
in agreement with Brezin and Hikami's observation, the angular integrals are
linear combinations of exponentials whose coefficients are polynomials in the
reduced variables (x_i-x_j)(y_i-y_j).Comment: 43 pages, Late
Treatment and Management of Depression Symptoms in Pregnant Veterans: Varying Experiences of Mental Health Care in the Prenatal Period
Depression screening is recommended for all pregnant veterans; however, little is known on how often symptomatic women receive care, how depression treatment presents in practice, and whether women veterans are utilizing treatment during the appreciable perinatal period. Our sample included 142 pregnant veterans from 15 Veterans Health Administration (VA) medical facilities with Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) scores \u3e/=10. Sociodemographic characteristics, military service, health utilization, and pregnancy related factors were collected as part of a telephone survey. A majority of our sample (70%) had 1 or more mental health visits or antidepressant prescriptions during pregnancy. Women with a history of depression had more mental health visits and a higher percentage of antidepressant use before and during pregnancy than women without a history of depression. Pregnant women veterans without a history of depression may be less likely to receive care for depression during pregnancy. However, the majority of our veterans showing depression symptoms prenatally had at least one mental health visit or an antidepressant medication fill during their pregnancy window, suggesting that mental health care is readily available for women veterans
Supersymmetric Many-particle Quantum Systems with Inverse-square Interactions
The development in the study of supersymmetric many-particle quantum systems
with inverse-square interactions is reviewed. The main emphasis is on quantum
systems with dynamical OSp(2|2) supersymmetry. Several results related to
exactly solved supersymmetric rational Calogero model, including shape
invariance, equivalence to a system of free superoscillators and non-uniqueness
in the construction of the Hamiltonian, are presented in some detail. This
review also includes a formulation of pseudo-hermitian supersymmetric quantum
systems with a special emphasis on rational Calogero model. There are quite a
few number of many-particle quantum systems with inverse-square interactions
which are not exactly solved for a complete set of states in spite of the
construction of infinitely many exact eigen functions and eigenvalues. The
Calogero-Marchioro model with dynamical SU(1,1|2) supersymmetry and a quantum
system related to short-range Dyson model belong to this class and certain
aspects of these models are reviewed. Several other related and important

Newborn Outcomes Among Veterans Utilizing VHA Maternity Benefits, 2016-2020
INTRODUCTION: Public Law 111-163 Section 206 of the Caregivers and Veteran Omnibus Health Services Act amended the Veterans Health Administration\u27s (VHA) medical benefits package to include 7 days of medical care for newborns delivered by Veterans. We examined the newborn outcomes among a cohort of women Veterans receiving VHA maternity benefits and care coordination.
MATERIALS AND METHODS: We conducted a secondary analysis of phone interview data from Veterans enrolled in the COMFORT (Center for Maternal and Infant Outcomes Research in Translation) study 2016-2020. Multivariable regression estimated associations with newborn outcomes (preterm birth; low birthweight).
RESULTS: During the study period, 829 infants were born to 811 Veterans. Mothers reported excellent health for 94% of infants. The prevalence of preterm birth was slightly higher in our cohort (11% vs. 10%), as were low birthweight (9%) deliveries, compared to the general population (8.28%). Additionally, 42% of infants in our cohort required follow-up care for non-routine health conditions; 11% were uninsured at 2 months of age. Adverse newborn outcomes were more common for mothers who were older in age, self-identified as non-white in race and/or of Hispanic ethnicity, had a diagnosis of posttraumatic stress disorder, or had gestational comorbidities.
CONCLUSIONS: The current VHA maternity coverage appears to be an effective policy for ensuring the well-being and health care coverage for the majority of Veterans and their newborns in the first days of life, thereby reducing the risk of inadequate prenatal and neonatal care. Future research should examine costs associated with extending coverage to 14 days or longer, comparing those to the projected excess costs of neonatal health problems. VHA policy should continue to support expanding care and resources through the Maternity Care Coordinator model
Mapping the complete glycoproteome of virion-derived HIV-1 gp120 provides insights into broadly neutralizing antibody binding
The surface envelope glycoprotein (SU) of Human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1), gp120SU plays an essential role in virus binding to target CD4+ T-cells and is a major vaccine target. Gp120 has remarkably high levels of N-linked glycosylation and there is considerable evidence that this “glycan shield” can help protect the virus from antibody-mediated neutralization. In recent years, however, it has become clear that gp120 glycosylation can also be included in the targets of recognition by some of the most potent broadly neutralizing antibodies. Knowing the site-specific glycosylation of gp120 can facilitate the rational design of glycopeptide antigens for HIV vaccine development. While most prior studies have focused on glycan analysis of recombinant forms of gp120, here we report the first systematic glycosylation site analysis of gp120 derived from virions produced by infected T lymphoid cells and show that a single site is exclusively substituted with complex glycans. These results should help guide the design of vaccine immunogens
Sensory afferents use different coding strategies for heat and cold
Primary afferents transduce environmental stimuli
into electrical activity that is transmitted centrally to
be decoded into corresponding sensations. However, it remains unknown how afferent populations
encode different somatosensory inputs. To address
this, we performed two-photon Ca2+ imaging from
thousands of dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons in
anesthetized mice while applying mechanical and
thermal stimuli to hind paws. We found that approximately half of all neurons are polymodal and that
heat and cold are encoded very differently. As temperature increases, more heating-sensitive neurons
are activated, and most individual neurons respond
more strongly, consistent with graded coding at population and single-neuron levels, respectively. In
contrast, most cooling-sensitive neurons respond
in an ungraded fashion, inconsistent with graded
coding and suggesting combinatorial coding, based
on which neurons are co-activated. Although individual neurons may respond to multiple stimuli, our results show that different stimuli activate distinct
combinations of diversely tuned neurons, enabling
rich population-level coding
Equivalence of the super Lax and local Dunkl operators for Calogero-like models
Following Shastry and Sutherland I construct the super Lax operators for the
Calogero model in the oscillator potential. These operators can be used for the
derivation of the eigenfunctions and integrals of motion of the Calogero model
and its supersymmetric version. They allow to infer several relations involving
the Lax matrices for this model in a fast way. It is shown that the super Lax
operators for the Calogero and Sutherland models can be expressed in terms of
the supercharges and so called local Dunkl operators constructed in our recent
paper with M. Ioffe. Several important relations involving Lax matrices and
Hamiltonians of the Calogero and Sutherland models are easily derived from the

The matrix model version of AGT conjecture and CIV-DV prepotential
Recently exact formulas were provided for partition function of conformal
(multi-Penner) beta-ensemble in the Dijkgraaf-Vafa phase, which, if interpreted
as Dotsenko-Fateev correlator of screenings and analytically continued in the
number of screening insertions, represents generic Virasoro conformal blocks.
Actually these formulas describe the lowest terms of the q_a-expansion, where
q_a parameterize the shape of the Penner potential, and are exact in the
filling numbers N_a. At the same time, the older theory of CIV-DV prepotential,
straightforwardly extended to arbitrary beta and to non-polynomial potentials,
provides an alternative expansion: in powers of N_a and exact in q_a. We check
that the two expansions coincide in the overlapping region, i.e. for the lowest
terms of expansions in both q_a and N_a. This coincidence is somewhat
non-trivial, since the two methods use different integration contours:
integrals in one case are of the B-function (Euler-Selberg) type, while in the

Interactions in vivo between the Vif protein of HIV-1 and the precursor (Pr55GAG) of the virion nucleocapsid proteins
The abnormality of viral core structure seen in vif-defective HIV-1 grown in PBMCs has suggested a role for Vif in viral morphogenesis. Using an in vivo mammalian two-hybrid assay, the interaction between Vif and the precursor (Pr55GAG) of the virion nucleocapsid proteins has been analysed. This revealed the amino-terminal (aa 1–22) and central (aa 70–100) regions of Vif to be essential for its interaction with Pr55GAG, but deletion of the carboxy-terminal (aa 158–192) region of the protein had only a minor effect on its interaction. Initial deletion studies carried out on Pr55GAG showed that a 35-amino-acid region of the protein bridging the MA(p17)–CA(p24) junction was essential for its ability to interact with Vif. Site-directed mutagenesis of a conserved tryptophan (Trp21) near the amino terminus of Vif showed it to be important for the interaction with Pr55GAG. By contrast, mutagenesis of the highly conserved YLAL residues forming part of the BC-box motif, shown to be important in Vif promoting degradation of APOBEC3G/3F, had little or no effect on the Vif–Pr55GAG interaction
