    Get PDF
Two conjugated copolymers, P1 and P2, comprising of benzodithiophene and 5, 6-dioctyloxy-benzothiadiazole (DOBT) derivatives with/without thiophene unit, were synthesized via Stille cross-coupling polymerization reaction. These copolymers are promising for the applications in BHJ solar cells due to their good solubilities, proper thermal stability and moderate hole mobility as well as low bandgap. The photovoltaic properties of the copolymers were investigated based on the blend of the different polymer/PC71BM weight ratio under AM1.5G illumination, 100 mW/cm2. The device with ITO/PEDOT:PSS/P2: PC71BM (1:2, w/w)/Ca/Al gave relatively better photovoltaic performance, with a power conversion efficiency of 1.55%

peer reviewedIt is important to develop rapid, accurate, and portable technologies for detecting the freshness of chilled meat to meet the current demands of meat industry. This report introduces freshness indicators for monitoring the freshness changes of chilled meat, and systematically analyzes the current status of existing detection technologies which focus on the feasibility of using nanozyme for meat freshness sensing detection. Furthermore, it examines the limitations and foresees the future development trends of utilizing current nanozyme sensing systems in evaluating chilled meat freshness. Harmful chemicals are produced by food spoilage degradation, including biogenic amines, volatile amines, hydrogen sulfide, and xanthine, which have become new freshness indicators to evaluate the freshness of chilled meat. The recognition mechanisms are clarified based on the special chemical reaction with nanozyme or directly inducting the enzyme-like catalytic activity of nanozyme

Active packaging (AP) has been developed to improve the safety, quality and integrity of food, and minimise food waste, while its application in meat is scarce. This review aims to describe meat production and consumption culture in China and New Zealand to provide the context for packaging innovation requirements, focusing on the emerging opportunities for AP to be used for the improvement of the shelf-life of pre-rigor, aged, and frozen-thawed meat products. Sustainable polymers utilised in the manufacturing of AP, manufacturing techniques, the release mechanisms of actives, and legal and regulatory constraints are also discussed. Diverse market compositions and consumption cultures in China and New Zealand require different packaging solutions to extend the shelf-life of meat. AP containing antimicrobials, moisture regulating agents, and antioxidants may be used for pre-rigor, dry- and wet-aged products and in improving the quality and shelf-life of frozen-thawed meat. Further innovations using sustainably produced polymers for AP, along with incorporating active compounds of multiple functions for effectively improving meat quality and shelf-life are necessary. Challenges remain to resolve issues with scaling the technology to commercially relevant volumes as well as complying with the rigorous legal and regulatory constraints in various countries

Here we report the cryo-electron microscopy structures of purified VZV A-capsid and C-capsid, as well as of the DNA-containing capsid inside the virion. Atomic models derived from these structures show that, despite enclosing a genome that is substantially smaller than those of other human herpesviruses, VZV has a similarly sized capsid, consisting of 955 major capsid protein (MCP), 900 small capsid protein (SCP), 640 triplex dimer (Tri2) and 320 triplex monomer (Tri1) subunits. The VZV capsid has high thermal stability, although with relatively fewer intra- and inter-capsid protein interactions and less stably associated tegument proteins compared with other human herpesviruses. Analysis with antibodies targeting the N and C termini of the VZV SCP indicates that the hexon-capping SCP—the largest among human herpesviruses—uses its N-terminal half to bridge hexon MCP subunits and possesses a C-terminal flexible half emanating from the inner rim of the upper hexon channel into the tegument layer. Correlation of these structural features and functional observations provide insights into VZV assembly and pathogenesis and should help efforts to engineer gene delivery and anticancer vectors based on the currently available VZV vaccine. This research was supported by grants from the National Science and Technology Major Projects for Major New Drugs Innovation and Development (no. 2018ZX09711003-005-003), the National Science and Technology Major Project of Infectious Diseases (no. 2017ZX10304402), the National Natural Science Foundation of China (no. 81871648, 81601762), the Research Unit of Frontier Technology of Structural Vaccinology of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (no. 2019RU022) and the US National Institutes of Health (DE025567/028583). 该研究获得了国家自然科学基金、新药创制国家科技重大专项和传染病防治国家科技重大专项等资助

Background: Association between oral bacteria and increased risk of lung cancer have been reported in several previous studies, however, the potential association between salivary microbiome and lung cancer in non-smoking women have not been evaluated. There is also no report on the relationship between immunocytochemistry markers and salivary microbiota.Method: In this study, we assessed the salivary microbiome of 75 non-smoking female lung cancer patients and 172 matched healthy individuals using 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing. We also calculated the Spearman's rank correlation coefficient between salivary microbiota and three immunohistochemical markers (TTF-1, Napsin A and CK7).Result: We analyzed the salivary microbiota of 247 subjects and found that non-smoking female lung cancer patients exhibited oral microbial dysbiosis. There was significantly lower microbial diversity and richness in lung cancer patients when compared to the control group (Shannon index, P < 0.01; Ace index, P < 0.0001). Based on the analysis of similarities, the composition of the microbiota in lung cancer patients also differed from that of the control group (r = 0.454, P < 0.001, unweighted UniFrac; r = 0.113, P < 0.01, weighted UniFrac). The bacterial genera Sphingomonas (P < 0.05) and Blastomonas (P < 0.0001) were relatively higher in non-smoking female lung cancer patients, whereas Acinetobacter (P < 0.001) and Streptococcus (P < 0.01) were higher in controls. Based on Spearman's correlation analysis, a significantly positive correlation can be observed between CK7 and Enterobacteriaceae (r = 0.223, P < 0.05). At the same time, Napsin A was positively associated with genera Blastomonas (r = 0.251, P < 0.05). TTF-1 exhibited a significantly positive correlation with Enterobacteriaceae (r = 0.262, P < 0.05). Functional analysis from inferred metagenomes indicated that oral microbiome in non-smoking female lung cancer patients were related to cancer pathways, p53 signaling pathway, apoptosis and tuberculosis. Conclusions: The study identified distinct salivary microbiome profiles in non-smoking female lung cancer patients, revealed potential correlations between salivary microbiome and immunocytochemistry markers used in clinical diagnostics, and provided proof that salivary microbiota can be an informative source for discovering non-invasive lung cancer biomarkers

The detection of serum VZV-specific antibodies is important for the clinical diagnosis and sero-epidemiological research of VZV infection, and for assessing the effect of VZV vaccine immunization. Over recent decades, a variety of methods for VZV antibody detection have been developed. This review summarizes and compares the current methods for detecting VZV antibodies, and discussed future directions for this field

GAN-SAE based fault diagnosis method for electrically driven feed pumps.

    No full text
The running of high-speed electrically driven feed pump has a direct impact on the safety of personnel equipment and economic benefits of power plant, as the result, intelligent condition monitoring and fault diagnosis of electrically driven feed pump becomes an urgent need. In the practical process of electrically driven feed pump fault diagnosis, the running of the equipment is in normal state for a long time, occasionally, with faults, which makes the fault data very rare in a large number of monitoring data, and makes it difficult to extract the internal fault features behind the original time series data, When the deep learning theory is used in practice, the imbalance between the fault data and the normal data occurs in the operation data set. In order to solve the problem of data imbalance, this paper proposes a fault diagnosis method of GAN-SAE. This method first makes compensation for the imbalance of sample data based on the Generative Adversarial Network (GAN), and then uses the Stacked Auto Encoder (SAE) method to extract the signal features. By designing the fault diagnosis program, compared with only using SAE, back propagation neural networks (BP) and multi-hidden layer neural networks(MNN) method, the GAN-SAE method can offer better capability of extracting features, and the accuracy of fault diagnosis of electrically driven feed pump could be improved to 98.89%
