The Importance of banking sector in Turkey in financial markets and its effects on growth
Financial market’s growth and development are studied in economic growth. The purpose of this thesis is to investigate whether there is a meaningful relationship between growth in financial markets and banking sector and economic growth in Turkey. For this purpose the relationship between M2 money supply and GDP data were analyzed. In the proposed research ,annual data are used between the years 1961-2014.
In the first part, the definition, the history, the line, the process and growth of financial markets and financial crisis have been focused. In the second part, the definition, the history, growth of banking sector and banking sector in financial markets in Turkey is analyzed. In the final part, the relationship in the development data of financial markets and banking sector and economic growth is analyzed. It is found that there is significant relationship between growth of financial markets and economic growth
Electron muon identification by atmospheric shower and electron beam in a new concept of an EAS detector
We present results demonstrating the time resolution and /e separation
capabilities with a new concept of an EAS detector capable for measurements of
cosmic rays arriving with large zenith angles. This kind of detector has been
designed to be a part of a large area (several square kilometers) surface array
designed to measure Ultra High Energy (10-200 PeV) neutrinos using the
Earth-skimming technique. A criteria to identify electron-gammas is also shown
and the particle identification capability is tested by measurements in
coincidence with the KASKADE-GRANDE experiment in Karlsruhe, Germany.Comment: accepted by Astrophysical Journal on January 12 2015, 16 pages 3

The implementation and operation of the VTS in the Turkish straits and Sea of Marmara
Turkish Maritime Shipping and Traffic in the Turkish Straits and the Sea of Marmara has been effected due to lack of dissemination of navigational information, traffic monitoring and management during the past. There has always been a need for ships to navigate accurately and safely. This problem has created a number of ship collisions, accidents, fires, deaths and major pollution spills, loss of vessels and cargoes. This lack of proper traffic management has been led to the blockage of Straits by some casualties. These results directly cause harm to both the Turkish economy and environment and also effect other countries which have to use these sea ways. The paper examines the current traffic situation in the Turkish Straits and the Sea of Marmara and investigates current developments in vessel traffic management systems around the world. An attempt is made to determine how best the new technology can be applied to improve safety and effectiveness in the Straits. A number of recommendations on how a suitable and practicable VTS system may be successfully implemented in the Straits to fulfil the requirements of this sensitive area are made. To assist the development of a proposed VTS, technical specifications, operational plans, procedures and regulations, as well as training requirements for VTS operators, are recommended. The paper concludes with some views on the status of the Turkish Straits bearing in mind apparent conflicts between International Legislation
Top quark FCNC couplings at future circular hadron electron colliders
A study of single top quark production via flavor changing neutral current
interactions at vertices is performed at future circular hadron
electron collider. The signal cross sections for the processes and in the collision of electron
beam with energy 60 GeV and proton beam with energy 50 TeV are
calculated. In the analysis, the invariant mass distributions of three jets
reconstructing top quark mass, requiring one b-tagged jet and other two jets
reconstructing the mass are used to count signal and background events
after all selection cuts. The upper limits on the anomalous flavor changing
neutral current couplings are found to be 0.01 at
future circular hadron electron collider for fb with the
fast simulation of detector effects. Signal significance depending on the
couplings is analyzed and an enhanced sensitivity is found to the
branching ratio BR() at the future circular hadron electron
collider when compared to the current experimental results.Comment: 11 pages, 4 Figures, 4 Tables, to appear in Phys. Rev.
Bio-liquefaction/solubilization of low-rank Turkish lignites and characterization of the products
The effect of some white-rot fungi on the bio-liquefaction/solubilization of two low-rank Turkish coals and the chemical composition of the liquid products and the microbial mechanisms of coal conversion were investigated. Turkish Elbistan and Beypazari lignites were used in this study. The white-rot fungi received from various laboratories used in the bio-liquefaction/solubilization of the lignites were Pleurotus sajor-caju, Pleurotus sapidus, Pleurotus florida, Pleurotus ostreatus, Phanerochaete chrysosporium, and Coriolus versicolor. FT-IR spectra of raw and treated coal samples were measured, and bio-liquefied/solubilized coal samples were investigated by FT-IR and LC-MS techniques. The Coriolus versicolor fungus was determined to be most effective in bio-liquefying/solubilizing nitric acid-treated Elbistan lignite. In contrast, raw and nitric acid-treated Beypazari lignite seemed to be unaffected by the action of any kind of white-rot fungi. The liquid chromatogram of the water-soluble bio-liquefied/solubilized product contained four major peaks. Corresponding mass spectra of each peak indicated the presence of very complicated structures
The Use of Drama in Educational Process through the Legends in Cyprus
AbstractLegends are tools which should be used in order to develop knowledge in the process of the development of education and training, the creation of new ideas, cause and effect relationships in the establishment of widespread use of the enrichment of imagination. In order to attract attention to the living bird species in Cyprus, the dramas event Zümrüd-ü Anka Legend is used as a tool to prepare the application as an example for the activity to create awareness, the main aim of this study. In this study, the activity examples involved have been applied to 17 teachers, who have had drama education. The process and activity evaluation have been developed and written according to the outcome.Besides the thematical study, birds in Cyprus have also been used and created from newspapers. Different drama techniques used in activities have attracted our attention to birds that are tending to become extinct. The importance of these example activities is that it is applied to everybody. It is understood that through drama method,The result of the activity process is that participants fill in the expressions of activity evaluation forms and gain knowledge of the Legend of Zümrüd-ü Anka and the birds in Cyprus
Probing the electromagnetic properties of the neutrinos at future lepton colliders
In this study, we explore the non-standard
couplings parametrized by dimension-seven operators via process at the FCC-ee/CEPC and
process at the Muon Colliders. For the
detailed Monte Carlo simulation, all signal and relevant background events are
produced within the framework of Madgraph where non-standard
couplings are implemented. After passing through
Pythia for parton showering and hadronization, detector effects are included
via tuned corresponding detector cards for each collider in Delphes. Projected
sensitivities on couplings are obtained at a
5 confidence level without and with systematic uncertainties for
the FCC-ee/CEPC and the Muon Colliders, showcasing the complementarity between
lepton colliders. Our best limit on the anomalous
couplings even with 5\% systematic uncertainties for muon collider with
TeV and ab are found to be thirteen orders of
magnitude stronger than the upper bound obtained from rare decay
analysis using LEP data.Comment: 17 pages, 9 figure
