- Field of study
Static electric dipole moments of nondegenerate systems probe mass scales for
physics beyond the Standard Model well beyond those reached directly at high
energy colliders. Discrimination between different physics models, however,
requires complementary searches in atomic-molecular-and-optical, nuclear and
particle physics. In this report, we discuss the current status and prospects
in the near future for a compelling suite of such experiments, along with

The CDF and D0 experiments at the Fermilab Tevatron have measured the asymmetry between yields of forward- and backward-produced top and antitop quarks based on their rapidity difference and the asymmetry between their decay leptons. These measurements use the full data sets collected in proton-antiproton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of s=1.96 TeV. We report the results of combinations of the inclusive asymmetries and their differential dependencies on relevant kinematic quantities. The combined inclusive asymmetry is AFBttˉ=0.128±0.025. The combined inclusive and differential asymmetries are consistent with recent standard model predictions

A muon collider would enable the big jump ahead in energy reach that is
needed for a fruitful exploration of fundamental interactions. The challenges
of producing muon collisions at high luminosity and 10 TeV centre of mass
energy are being investigated by the recently-formed International Muon
Collider Collaboration. This Review summarises the status and the recent
advances on muon colliders design, physics and detector studies. The aim is to
provide a global perspective of the field and to outline directions for future

A muon collider would enable the big jump ahead in energy reach that is needed for a fruitful exploration of fundamental interactions. The challenges of producing muon collisions at high luminosity and 10 TeV centre of mass energy are being investigated by the recently-formed International Muon Collider Collaboration. This Review summarises the status and the recent advances on muon colliders design, physics and detector studies. The aim is to provide a global perspective of the field and to outline directions for future work

Measurements of the Collins and Sivers asymmetries for charged pions and charged and neutral kaons produced in semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering of high energy muons off transversely polarised protons are presented. The results were obtained using all the available COMPASS proton data, which were taken in the years 2007 and 2010. The Collins asymmetries exhibit in the valence region a non-zero signal for pions and there are hints of non-zero signal also for kaons. The Sivers asymmetries are found to be positive for positive pions and kaons and compatible with zero otherwise. © 2015
