What could we say about education at the beginning of the century? If we reflect about the cultural crisis resulting from the Neo-Liberal Politics in our country, we'll find that the Argentine Educating Community have two options: to continue with the "Escuelas Normales Nacionales" project of the 80's (1880) - the Socialist or Popular, as well as the Catholic - or to loose all their identity, which means to work without any real significance. This work will try to establish the many speeches Education has earned in different historical - in our own country as well as the rest of Latinamerica and Europe - trying to establish the present situation, and by this means make it possible to formulate new speeches adecueted to the epistemologic cuts at ends of the 20¹'' century, not only in the calendar but also dealing with the present and future challenges that the new century brings.Como pensar a educação no começo deste século? Se analisarmos a crise cultural provocada pela implementação das políticas neoliberais na Argentina, observaremos que os educadores se vêem diante de duas opções: continuar engajados no projeto normalizador da geração de 80 - tanto da normalização socialista ou educação popular como da católica em suas diversas vertentes - ou cair na falta de identidade, portanto, de sentido para sua prática. Com este trabalho pretendemos estabelecer os diversos discursos que a educação recebeu em diferentes períodos históricos - tanto na Argentina como na América Latina e na Europa - com o objetivo de apresentar um estado atual da questão e, deste modo, possibilitar a formulação de novos discursos que possam adaptar-se ao corte epistemológico do fim do século, não só no calendário, mas também nos atuais e nos possíveis desafios que representam os novos tempos
MIS-C Treatment: Is IVIG Always Necessary?
Background: MIS-C is a potentially severe inflammatory syndrome associated with SARS-CoV-2 exposure. Intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) is considered the first-tier therapy, but it implies infusion of large fluid volumes that may worsen cardiac function. Patients and Methods: Since April 2020, we have developed a treatment protocol that avoids the infusion of IVIG as first-line therapy in the early phase of MIS-C. In this study, we retrospectively analyzed a cohort of consecutive patients treated according to this protocol between 01/04/2020 and 01/04/2021. Results: In the last year, 31 patients have been treated according to the protocol: 25 with high-dose pulse MP (10 mg/kg) and 6 with 2 mg/kg. 67.7% of the patients responded to the initial treatment, while the others needed a step-up, either with Anakinra (25.8%) or with MP dose increase (6.5%). IVIG was administered in four patients. Overall, only one patient (3.2%) needed ICU admission and inotropic support; one patient developed a small coronary artery aneurysm. Conclusions: Timely start of MP therapy and careful fluid management might improve the outcomes of MIS-C patients
Effect of Dietary Organic Acids and Botanicals on Metabolic Status and Milk Parameters in Mid–LateLactating Goats
The microencapsulated mixture of organic acids and pure botanicals (OA/PB) has never been evaluated in goats. The aim of thisstudy was to extend the analysis to mid–latelactating dairy goats, evaluating the effects of OA/PB supplementation on the metabolic status, milk bacteriological and composition characteristics, and milk yield. Eighty mid–latelactating Saanen goatswere ran-domly assigned to two groups: one group was fed the basal total balanced ration (TMR) (CRT; n=40) and the other was fed a diet that wasTMR supplemented with 10 g/head of OA/PB (TRT; n=40) for 54 days during the summer period. The temperature–humidity index (THI) was recorded hourly. On days T0, T27, and T54, the milk yield was recorded,and blood and milk samples were collected during the morning milking. A linear mixed model was used, considering the fixed effects: diet, time,and their interaction. The THI data (mean ±SD: 73.5 ±3.83) show that the goats did not endure heat stress. The blood parameters fell within the normal range, confirming that their meta-bolic status was not negatively influenced by OA/PB supplementation. OA/PB increased the milk fat content (p=0.04) and milk coagulation index (p=0.03),which areeffects that are looked on as favorable by the dairy industry in relation to cheese production
Blood chemistry of medium-growing male and female chickens supplemented black soldier fly live larvae
Effects of live larvae provision on poultry chemical blood parameters have been poorly investigated.
This study aims to evaluate the changes in blood chemistry parameters in medium-growing chickens
supplemented black soldier fly (BSF) live larvae. Two hundred and forty 21d old sexed Label Naked
Neck birds were divided into 4 experimental groups: females fed basal organic feed (BOF), males fed
BOF, females fed BOF + 10% BSF live larvae supplementation based on the expected daily feed
intake (DFI) and males fed BOF + 10% BSF live larvae supplementation based on the DFI (6
replicates/diet, 10 birds/replicate). Blood samples were collected at slaughter (82d old) from 2
birds/pen (12 birds/treatment). Serum samples were used for biochemical analysis. A compact liquid
chemistry analyzer system (BT 1500 vet–Futurlab) was used to determine the concentrations of
alanine aminotransferase (U/I), aspartate aminotransferase (U/I), creatinine total proteins (mg/dl), uric
acid (mg/dl), cholesterol (mg/dl), triglycerides (mg/dl), gamma glutamyltransferase (GGT, U/I),
phosphorus (mg/dl) and magnesium (mg/dl). Data were analyzed by GLMM (SPSS software, P<0.05).
Overall, the blood parameters were not affected by the live larvae supplementation (P>0.05) in both
sexes, thus being indicative of a good health status of the birds. Moreover, the GGT was detected in
lower concentrations in the supplemented groups than in the control groups (P<0.05), suggesting a
positive effect on the hepatic function. In conclusion, the live BSF larvae provision did not negatively
affect the blood parameters of medium-growing chickens and could be beneficial for bird hepatic
activity

Outcomes of MIS-C patients treated with anakinra: a retrospective multicenter national study
BackgroundThe treatment of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children unresponsive to first-line therapies (IVIG and/or steroids) is challenging. The effectiveness of IL-1 receptor antagonist, anakinra, is debated.Patients and methodsWe conducted an anonymous retrospective multicenter study on MIS-C patients treated with anakinra in Italy from January 2020 to February 2021. Our study outcomes included the percentage of patients who required further therapeutic step-up, the percentage of patients who experienced fever resolution within 24 h and a reduction of CRP by half within 48 h, and the percentage of patients who developed Coronary Artery Anomalies (CAA) during follow-up.Results35 cases of MIS-C were treated in 10 hospitals. Of these, 13 patients started anakinra while in the ICU, and 22 patients started anakinra in other wards. 25 patients (71.4%) were treated with corticosteroids at a starting dose 2–30 mg/Kg/day plus IVIG (2 g/Kg), 10 patients (28.6%) received only corticosteroids without IVIG. Anakinra was administered intravenously to all patients in Group A (mean dose 8 mg/Kg/day), and subcutaneously in Group B (mean dose 4 mg/Kg/day). Only two patients required further treatment step-up and no patients developed CAA after receiving anakinra. The most commonly observed side effect was an increase in ALT, occurring in 17.1% of patients.ConclusionsIn this retrospective cohort of severe MIS-C patients treated with anakinra we report favorable clinical outcomes with a low incidence of side effects. The simultaneous use of steroids ± IVIG in these patients hinders definitive conclusions regarding the need of IL-1 inhibition in MIS-C treatment

Objetivos: determinar la frecuencia de enfermedades autoinmunes (EAI) en pacientes con Artritis Reumatoidea (AR) y comparar la frecuencia de EAI entre pacientes con AR y sin AR ni otra EAI reumatológica.
Material y Métodos: estudio multicéntrico, observacional, analítico, retrospectivo. Se incluyeron pacientes consecutivos con AR (ACR/EULAR 2010) y como grupo control pacientes con diagnóstico inicial de Osteoartritis primaria (OA).
Molecular and Genetic Advances in Small Cell Lung Cancer Landscape: From Homogeneity to Diversity
Small cell lung cancer (SCLC) has been historically considered a homogeneous disease and thus approached as a single entity when it comes to clinical studies design and new treatments developments. However, increasing knowledge in the genetic and molecular landscape of this disease challenges this concept, opening the possibility that different subtypes might show differential vulnerability to treatments. In this narrative review, we gather the most relevant advances in genetic and molecular characterization of SCLC, focusing on how these discoveries may be used to design the path for a personalized treatment approach. Indeed, we discuss the new classification based on differential protein expression, the prevalence and significance of oncogenic drivers (e.g., EGFR mutations and ALK rearrangements) in SCLC, the genetic characteristics of SCLC in patients with no smoking history, and the existing evidence supporting the use of liquid biopsy for capturing the heterogeneity of the disease. We use the keywords "small cell lung cancer", "SCLC", "EGFR", "ALK", "histological transformation", and "transcriptional factors" to identify original research manuscripts, clinical trials, case reports, and case series from PubMed
