. Dental and oral health status as expressed in dental caries are important problems, health nearly 90% of Indonesian suffered dental caries. The common cause of denial caries is poor oral hygiene, as it leads to make plaque accumulation containing various bacteria. Tendency of plaque formation exists in every individual in every ege. Objective of the study : To get the format and procedure of examination at dental carries by comparating the examination results between general practitioners and dentists, dentists and dental nurses, and general practitioners and dental nurses. The study took ten month, by diagnostic test design and conducted in a sub district primary health centre in Tangerang. The study was equivalent by ten general practitioners, ten dentists and ten dental nurses by using mouth mirrors. The member of respondents were 60 persons from both genders with 6 and 12 years age and who lived in Tangerang. They included about 30 children from first standard of primary school and 30 children from 6 ' class of primary school at six years and 12 years old. They were from one of the government schools is the district of Tangerang. The collection of data had been done by examining the dental carries of 60 students by ten general practitioners, ten dentists, and ten dental nurses. They participated in this study after going informed consent. Data analyses were using t test and wilcoxon test by SPSS 11.5. The result of this study showed D (decay), M (missing), F (filling) and DMF-T with variation. Actually general Practitioners can do same the examination as dentists and dental nurses, put general practitioners sufficiently understand the importance of M (missing) and F (Filling)

Education game is a media used as a learning tool. In this research, we built a learning application of animal and fruit names vocabulary in English. Users of the application are 4 to 6 years old children. The purpose of this research is to build an application that can improve children\u27s ability to remember and enrich their Vocabulary. For the user interface design we implement Goal Directed Design Method. This Method consists of eight main stages, which is research, modeling, requirements, definition, framework definition, refinement, and support. Participants of this research were 18 children aged 4 to 6 years. Based of the evaluation of the application, all participants are able to increase their ability to remember animal and fruit names by about 10%

The analysis in this study aims to determine the effect of regional financial performance which includes regional independence ratios, effectiveness ratios, and efficiency to capital ratios for public services in the South Sumatra Province. The data used in this study are secondary data from the Regional Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBD) and the realization of the Regional Budget in 2007-2015. The analysis technique used in this study is panel data regression. The results of the study show that: (1) the independence ratio does not have a significant effect on capital expenditure for public services (2) significant effectiveness ratios affect capital expenditure for public services (3) efficiency ratio significantly influences capital expenditure for public services. In conclusion, the three ratios used by South Sumatra have higher intercepts than other provinces. This indicates that South Sumatra has the highest capital expenditure for the highest public services in Sumbagsel

Remote sensing techniques for supporting the rural credit supervision system were developed and tested. The test area comprised the counties of Aracatuba and Guararapes, located in the State of Sao Paulo. Aerial photography, LANDSAT images and topographic charts were used. Aerial photographs were extremely useful for the out lining of properties boundaries with financing of sugarcane plantations by the Banco do Brasil S.A.. The percentage of correctly interpreted sugarcane on LANDSAT images, considering the 85 analyzed properties, was of 63.12%. The occurrence of atypical conditions such as excessive raining, sugarcane in bloom, and wind damaged sugarcane and sugarcane not harvested due to planning failures verified during the period the images were obtained, were some of the contributing factors associated with a low interpretation performance. An alternative approach was developed using several LANDSAT overpasses and auxiliary field data, which resulted in 91.77 percent correct

A study was conducted on the second grade non-readers in Toledo City’s division. Eight pupils comprised up the cases. Three of them were Pantawid Pampamilyang Pilipino (4Ps) participants and they all came from low-income homes. The standard Philippine Informal Reading Inventory, a technique for evaluating the students’ reading ability, was used to identify the extent of their reading difficulties. Pronunciation, omission, identification, mispronunciation, substitution, recognition, and non-readers were among the reading difficulties. Peer mentoring as a reading remediation and instruction eliminates non-readers and other reading problems in the school, according to a theory that the researcher developed as a result of the improvements made by the mentees. A peer mentoring plan was also developed by the researchers as assistance to the reading remediation program of the elementary school. In order to thoroughly examine the disability, look for correlations of the disability, and discover the underlying reasons of the reading handicap, it is imperative that all students from Grade Two up to Grade Six be diagnosed through a complete analysis of causality

Growth, structure analysis and anisotropic superconducting properties of MgB2 single crystals

Here we report the growth of sub-millimeter MgB2 single crystals of various shapes under high pressure in Mg-B-N system. Structure refinement using a single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis gives lattice parameters a=3.0851(5) A and c=3.5201(5) A with small reliability factors (Rw =0.025, R=0.018), which enables us to analyze the Fourier and Fourier difference maps. The maps clearly show the B sp2 orbitals and covalency of the B-B bonds. The sharp superconducting transitions at Tc =38.1-38.3K were obtained in both magnetization (DTc =0.6K) and resistivity (DTc <0.3K) measurements. Resistivity measurements with magnetic fields applied parallel and perpendicular to the Mg and B sheets reveal the anisotropic nature of this compound, with upper critical field anisotropy ratio of about 2.7.Comment: 9 pages, 5 figures and 1 tabl

Abstract

Background

Tooth loss impairs oral function. The aim of the present review was to evaluate the causal association between smoking and tooth loss on the basis of high-quality studies.

Methods

Relevant literature was searched and screened, and the methodological quality was assessed. Information on the strength of the association between smoking and tooth loss, the dose-response relationship and natural experimental data was collected and evaluated with respect to consistency and study design.

Results

Our literature search yielded 496 citations, and 6 cross-sectional and 2 cohort high-quality studies examining 58,755 subjects in four countries. All studies reported significant associations, although the strength of the association was usually moderate. Four studies reported dose-response relationships between exposure to smoking and the risk of developing tooth loss. A decrease in the risk of tooth loss for former smokers was evident in six studies. Interpretation of evidence for each element was consistent, despite some shortcomings regarding study type and population.

Conclusions

Based on the consistent evidence found with the existing biological plausibility, a causal association between smoking and tooth loss is highly likely. Further studies using a cohort design and different populations are necessary to confirm this association.</p
