    Uticaj prve rodne etaže na kvalitativno-kvantitativna svojstva semena soje

    The aim of this study was to determine the effect of height of the first fertile floor on the qualitative and quantitative characteristics of soybean seeds. For qualitative traits the focus was on the energy of germination and seed germination of the studied genotypes investigated per soybean plant and the first fertile floor of the plant. Results of research indicated that there were significant differences between genotypes observed by morphological characteristics (plant height, height of first fertile floor, number of fertile floors, number of pods and seeds, seed weight, etc.) as well as qualitative properties (energy of germination and seed germination). Cultivar GorÅ”tak, with genetically incorporated height of the first fertile floor (12.38 cm), was superior to other two genotypes. A similar trend was found in other morphological analyses. Based on energy of germination and seed germination of all fertile floors per plant, there were no significant differences between soybean genotypes. However, of paramount importance are the established values of these parameters relevant to the first fertile floor. Cultivar GorÅ”tak had significantly higher energy of germination (90.46%) and total germination (91.00%) compared to the other two genotypes.Cilj istraživanja bio je utvrđivanje uticaja visine PRVE rodne etaže na kvalitativno-kvantitativna svojstva semena soje. Kod kvalitativnih svojstava akcenat je stavljen na energiju klijanja i ukupnu klijavost semena istraživanih genotipova posebno po biljci i prvoj rodnoj etaži. Sumiranjem rezultata istraživanja, utvrđene su značajne razlike između genotipova, posmatrano po morfoloÅ”kim karakteristikama (visina biljaka, visina prve rodne etaže, broj rodnih etaža, broj mahuna i semena, masa semena i dr) kao i kod kvalitativnih svojstava - energije klijanja i ukupna klijavost semena. Sorta GorÅ”tak sa genetički inkorporiranom visokom prvom rodnom etažom (12,38 cm) bila je dominantna u odnosu na druga dva genotipa. Sličan trend je utvrđen i kod drugih morfoloÅ”kih analiza. Energija klijanja i ukupna klijavost semena svih rodnih etaža, posmatrano po genotipovima, nije pokazala značajne razlike. Međutim, od izuzetnog značaja su utvrđene vrednosti ovih parametara kada je reč o prvoj rodnoj etaži. Sorta GorÅ”tak imala je vrlo značajnu veću vrednost energije klijanja (90,46%) kao i ukupnu klijavost semena (91,00 %) u odnosu na druga dva genotipa

    Uloga pH vrednosti u muŔkom i ženskom reproduktivnom traktu svinja

    For a long time, in practice, and science, has been known that pH values of sperm and vagina are important for successful fertilization. In this investigation this fact was confirmed, and the goal was to investigate the role of pH values through whole reproductive tract of male and female individuals: testis, rete testis, epididymis, ductus deferens, Cowper's gland, vesicula seminalis, prostata, corpus cavernosus, corpus spongiosus, epitel tissue of penis tube, sperm, vagina, uterus, horn of uterus, oviduct, fimbrie ovarica, ovarium, follicular fluid. Measurement was performed in reproductive active males as well as before and after ovulation in females. Porcine reproductive tracts (per 15 female and male individuals) were collected from institute's slaughterhouse, immediately post mortem dissected, homogenised and pH values were measured (according to method Rede&Rahelić (1969)). Ovarium and follicular liquid have the highest pH values (7,4) in females, but a small peak in preovulatory oviduct is also present and corresponded to pH of sperm of reproductive fully active male individuals (pH=app.7,2). After fertilization pH in surrounding of zygot (through depolarisation of its membrane) in oviduct, and zygot which then has external decreased pH value moves to less pH values regions by the same principle, that means to uterus, (pH between 7,2 (horn) and 7,07(cervix)) in postovulatory female reproductive tract, where nidation of blastocyst occurs. This investigation could help to elucidate knowledge about reproductive physiology in vivo, giving importance to role of pH values along reproductive tract of male and female individuals.U praksi i nauci je odavno poznato da je pH vrednost sperme i vagine od značaja za uspeÅ”nu oplodnju. U ovom istraživanju je to potvrđeno, a cilj istraživanja je bio da se ispita uloga pH vrednosti duž celog polnog trakta mužjaka i ženki svinja: od testisa, epididimisa ductus deferens, Kauperove žlezde, semene kesice, prostate, corpus cavernosus i corpus spongiosus penisa, epitelnog tkiva cevi penisa, sperme vagine, materice, rogova materice, jajovoda, fimbrie ovarica, jajnika, do folikularne tečnosti jajnika. Merenje je izvrÅ”eno kod polno aktivnih mužjaka i ženki (pre- i postovulatorno). Polni trakt svinja (po 15 ženskih i muÅ”kih jedinki) je uzet iz eksperimentalne klanice instituta, odmah post mortem izvrÅ”ena je disekcija, homogenizacija čvrstih tkiva i merene su pH vrednosti (prema metodi Rede i Rahelić (1969)). Jajnik i folikularna tečnost jajnika imale su najviÅ”u pH vrednost od 7,4, dok je mali ali značajan porast pH vrednosti u preovulatornom jajniku odgovarao pH vrednosti sperme polno aktivnih mužjaka (pH oko7,2). Nakon oplodnje u okolini zigota (putem depolarizacije membrane) u jajovodu se snižava pH vrednost, Å”to ostaje za dalja istraživanja, i zigot koji tada ima spoljaÅ”nju smanjenu pH, kreće se, potpomognut pokretima trepljastog epitela, ka regionu niže pH vrednosti, odnosno materici (u rasponu pH od 7,2 u rogu materice do 7, 07 u cerviksu) u postovulatornom polnom traktu ženki i u materici se odvija nidacija odnosno ugnježđivanje blastule ukoliko je oplodnja uspeÅ”na. Ova istraživanja bi mogla da rasvetle znanja o polnoj fiziologiji in vivo, dajući značaj pH vrednostima duž polnog trakta muÅ”kih i ženskih jedinki

    Research correlation vegetation index of corn with speed of movement sensor and elevation of field

    This paper presents field scouting of corn in order to determine the content of nitrogen in the green parts of the plants. The aim was to measure the vegetative index using two optical sensors by OptRx AGL Technology. The sensors are positioned at a distance of 3.5 m, individually observing five rows of corn. The speed of movement of the tractor and also elevation of field are varied. The measured vegetative index of the plants is correlated, in first, with the speed of the sensor on the platform. The measured vegetative index of the plants is correlated after that with elevation also. Both of that case are shown that the Normalised Difference Red Edge (NDRE) as represent of vegetative index is not correlated with speed and elevation. This Results represented with Pearson Correlation Coefficient and Spearman's Correlation Coefficient are statistical signatifical. This conclusions are valid only for short rang of speed and elevation research. Average speed was 6,39 km/hr and rang of elevation was 1.6 m (106.8-108.4 m)

    Evaluation of Craniometric Methods for Determination of Vertical Dimension of Occlusion

    In clinical practice, fully precise method for exact determination of vertical relation of occlusion still does not exist. This study examines the relationship between different craniofacial distances and the distance subnasaleā€“ gnathion (Snā€“Gn), which represents the lower third of the face in vertical relation determination. The highest coefficient of correlation was (r = 0.8678, p < 0.05) between the distance eyeā€“ear (Eā€“E = lateral border of the ocular orbitā€“medial opening of the meatus of the external auditory canal) and Snā€“Gn. The prediction of the distance Snā€“Gn could be determined through the formula: Snā€“Gn = Eā€“E / 1.08 or through the regression analysis: Snā€“Gn = 1.9197 + 0.6449 x Eā€“E. None of the calculated coefficients of correlation was 1, but was < 1, so that the prediction of the distance Snā€“Gn by craniometric distances is not absolutely reliable, although it is considerably helpful. Our results point at the variations of craniofacial distances in the Croatian population. Yet, craniometry could still be recommended in everyday clinical practice for prediction of vertical relation of occlusion, as it is a simple, economic and non-invasive method, however in combination with some other methods, which have proved to be helpful

    Metode utvrđivanja stres sindroma junadi i njegov značaj za kvalitet mesa

    Methods for determining stress syndrome in beef cattle is of great importance to identify the physiological state of young cattle before slaughter in order for such animals to be properly treated and restored to a normal physiological state. As a consequence of the state of stress prior to slaughter, meat is obtained which is different from normal. These are non-typical post-mortem changes in meat: 'PSE' (pale, soft, exudative) and 'DFD' (dark, firm, dry) meat, 'watery' meat, usually pork, and 'dark' mostly meat of young bulls. Tests were performed on bulls originating from a farm located 50 km from the slaughterhouse and another farm located 150 km from the slaughterhouse. Young bulls were kept in a free system and loading and unloading was done on unloading ramps and animals taken to the boxes using the lane corridor. Also, attention was paid to avoid mixing with unfamiliar animals during transport. The study included 20 males. The same vehicle was used to transport cattle from the farm to the slaughterhouse. The rectal temperature was taken from 20 young bulls, at the time of loading of cattle into a vehicle during transport and immediately before slaughter. The results of measurements of rectal temperature of investigated bulls suggest that prolonging of transport increases the rectal temperature which can serve as an indicator of stress syndrome in bulls. In addition to measuring of rectal temperature as an indicator of bulls' stress syndrome, other methods are still used, such as the measurement of cortisol in saliva and blood, or the latest methods of measuring cortisol in hair. This is the latest method of the 21st century, which can even determine the time of occurrence of stress. This method is the future that will determine whether the stress occurred few days, weeks or even months ago.Metode za utvrđivanje stres sindoma junadi imaju veliki značaj u identifikaciji fizioloÅ”kog stanja junadi pre klanja, kako bi se takva grla adekvatno tretirala i povratila u normalno fizioloÅ”ko stanje. Kao posledica stresnog stanja pre klanja dobija se meso koje se razlikuje od normalnog mesa. Ovo obuhvata netipične postmortalne promene mesa kao Å”to su 'BMV' meso (bledo, mekano i vodnjikavo meso) najčeŔće svinjsko i 'TTS' (tamno, tvrdo i suvo meso), najčeŔće juneće meso. Ispitivanja su vrÅ”ena na junadima koja potiču sa farme udaljene 50 km od klanice i sa druge farme koja je udaljena 150 km od klanice. Junad su držana u slobodnom sistemu a utovar i istovar obavljani su na istovarnoj rampi pri čemu su životinje koridorom odvođene u boksove Å”tala. Takodje se vodilo računa da ne dođe do meÅ”anja nepoznatih životinja u toku transporta. Ukupno je ispitano 20 muÅ”kih grla. Istim vozilom junad su transportovana od farme do klanice. Rektalna temperatura merena je kod 20 junadi, i to u momentu utovara u stočno vozilo, za vreme transporta i neposredno pre klanja. Rezultati merenja rektalne temperature ispitivane junadi ukazuju da prolongiranjem transporta raste i rektalna temperatura Å”to može poslužiti kao pokazatelj stres sindroma junadi. Pored merenja rektalne temperature kao indikatora stres sindroma junadi danas se koriste i druge metode kao Å”to su merenje kortizola u pljuvački i krvi ili najnovija metoda merenje kortizola iz dlake. Ovo je najnovija metoda 21. veka kojom se čak može odrediti vreme nastanka stresa. Ova metoda predstavlja budućnost kojom će se utvrditi da li je stres nastao pre nekoliko dana, nedelja pa čak i meseci.

    Maintenance of soil fertility on organic farm by modeling of crop rotation with participation alfalfa

    The aim of this paper is to maintain soil fertility on an organic farm without livestock production by using alfalfa green biomass. The research was carried out on the farm of Mokrin PP company, by modeling and sizing of crop rotation with alfalfa (Medicago sativa L.) on the non-carbonate humoglay. To ensure a cost-effective technical solution, alfalfa seed production was organized. In the autumn of 2015 alfalfa sowing was carried out in a field of 5 ha. Green biomass of the first and third cuttings, as well as crop residue after harvesting of seeds in the second cutting, were mowed and chopped by harvester for low silage and stored in the silage-pit. After nine months, a mature alfalfa compost was obtained with optimum values of total nitrogen (5.04%), organic matter (42.56%), C/N, pH, humidity, and EC. Two-year alfalfa utilization is the recommended time in this research because to the following benefits: in crop rotation, alfalfa field is provided with nitrogen by symbiotic niĀ­trogen fixation and the alfalfa is cultivated every five years in the same field, while in the middle of that period the field is fertilized with compost produced on the farm. The amount of compost obtained by crop rotation (2016 - 48.80 t; 2017 - 62.30 t) is enough for about 20% of the arable area per year. Thus, the fields are fertilized every fourth year with 10 t ha-1 of compost. Thanks to alfalfa biomass and seed and also nitrogen fixation, maintaining soil fertility is resolved in a sustainable and natural way

    Cross-Lingual Neural Network Speech Synthesis Based on Multiple Embeddings

    The paper presents a novel architecture and method for speech synthesis in multiple languages, in voices of multiple speakers and in multiple speaking styles, even in cases when speech from a particular speaker in the target language was not present in the training data. The method is based on the application of neural network embedding to combinations of speaker and style IDs, but also to phones in particular phonetic contexts, without any prior linguistic knowledge on their phonetic properties. This enables the network not only to efficiently capture similarities and differences between speakers and speaking styles, but to establish appropriate relationships between phones belonging to different languages, and ultimately to produce synthetic speech in the voice of a certain speaker in a language that he/she has never spoken. The validity of the proposed approach has been confirmed through experiments with models trained on speech corpora of American English and Mexican Spanish. It has also been shown that the proposed approach supports the use of neural vocoders, i.e. that they are able to produce synthesized speech of good quality even in languages that they were not trained on

    Porcine stress syndrome (PSS) is one kind of molecular genetics defect which will cause malignant hyperthermia syndrome in pigs. It was reported that mutation of pig rynodine receptor (RYR1) gene is the main reason for PSS. The aim of this study was to test the RYR1 genotype of 10 Mangalitsa pigs using a polymerase chain reaction-restriction endonuclease fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) technique, which is a reliable and simple method for RYR1 gene testing. Extraction of DNA was done by using hair follicles. The results showed that the RYR1 genotype of all the 10 porcine cases were negative. These results suggested that Mangalitsa pig could be one of the porcine breeds selectively bred for medical and clinically experiments.Stres sindrom svinja (PSS - Porcine Stress Syndrome) pripada genetskim oboljenjima svinja i može da izazove sindrom maligne hipertermije. Utvrđeno je da je mutacija rijanodin receptora (RYR1) gena svinja glavni razlog za pojavu PSS-a. Cilj ovog ogleda bio je testiranje RYR1 gena na 10 svinja rase mangulica koriŔćenjem PCR-restriktivnog endonukleaza testa (PCR-RFLP), koji predstavlja jednostavnu i pouzdanu tehniku za testiranje RYR1 gena. Ekstrakcija DNK je obavljena koriŔćenjem korena dlake svinja. Rezultati ogleda potvrđuju da je RYR1 genotip kod svih 10 svinja bio negativan. Na osnovu napred navedenog može se zaključiti da bi mangulica mogla da bude jedna od genotipova koji se koriste za medicinska i klinička ispitivanja

    This paper presents the results of crossing Domestic Spotted breed with beef cattle breeds in the People's Republic of China and the Republic of Serbia. China is a big country of beef production and consumption. In 2012, beef production in China was 5,540,000 tons, which accounted for 9.7% of the global beef production, ranking the third in the world. The main sources of China's beef are from crossbreeding cattle (native breed crossbred with foreign beef cattle). Simmental cattle are the most-widely used beef cattle in China's improved beef cattle. China has cultivated its own Simmental after over 40 years' crossbreeding and improvement. China's consumers mainly have three demands for beef quality as follows: expensive beef produced from Wagyu crossbreed with better marbling; lean beef from Simmental, Charolais and Limousin crossbreeds, top parts supplied to hotels while common parts to supermarkets; veal from cow calves. Chinese researchers are carrying out researches which are centered on marbling beef, lean beef and veal on complete techniques of good breed, feeding management, slaughter and cutting and carcass classification. At present, researchers have lively interest in functional genomics of meat quality traits of cattle, they expect to use these methods to study meat quality traits and then improve the meat quality. Improved cattle breeds universally utilized in China are mainly Simmental followed by Charolais, Limousin, Wagyu and Angus. Other three cattle breeds including Belgian blue cattle, Piedmontese and Gelbvien have ever been applied, however, rarely used in present beef cattle production. Republic of Serbia has in the future to quickly and efficiently provide adequate quantities of top quality meat. One of the ways to increase the yield and quality of the meat is crossing of Domestic spotted cattle of lower production traits with French beef cattle breeds. Beef production in the EU is adapted to the consumer taste. Meat must have a light red colour, equally suffused with fat and with pronounced sensory characteristics such as tenderness, juiciness, flavour and aroma. The results on the quality of meat of F1 generation crosses (Domestic Spotted breed with French beef cattle breeds Charolais and Limousine) indicate that by industrial crossing beef, meat-packing and organoleptic characteristics of meat can be improved.U radu su prikazani rezultati ukrÅ”tanja domaće Å”arene rase sa tovnim rasama u Narodnoj Republici Kini i u Republici Srbiji. Kina je zemlja sa velikom govedarskom proizvodnjom i potroÅ”njom. U 2012. godini, proizvodnja govedine u Kini bila je 5.540.000 tona, Å”to čini 9,7% svetske proizvodnje goveđeg mesa, rangirana treća u svetu. Glavni izvori goveda u Kini su grla iz iz ukrÅ”tanja (nativne rase ukrÅ”tene sa stranim rasama goveda). Simentalska rasa goveda se najviÅ”e koriste u poboljÅ”anim grlima tovne junadi u Kini. Kina je odgajila svoju simentalsku rasu, nakon viÅ”e od 40 godina ukrÅ”tanja i poboljÅ”anje. PotroÅ”ači u Kini uglavnom imaju tri zahteva koji se odnose na kvalitet mesa i to: skupi goveđi proizvodi dobijeni od meleza Vagyu sa boljom marmoriranoŔću; odlično, nemasno goveđe meso grla simentalske, Å”arole i limuzin rase, najvredniji delovi trupa koji se isporučuju hotelima, a manje vredni delovi supermarketima; teletina koja se proizvodi od ženske teladi. Kineski istraživači su obavljali istraživanja koji su fokusirana na mramoriranost mesa, nemasnu govedinu i teletinu, na kompletne tehnike dobrof upravljanja u odgoju - rase i ishrana, klanje i rasecanje i klasifikaciju trupa. Trenutno, istraživači su su zainteresovani za genetiku funkcionalnih svojstava kvaliteta mesa goveda, oni očekuju da koriste ove metode za proučavanje osobine kvaliteta mesa, a zatim poboljÅ”anje kvaliteta mesa. PoboljÅ”ane rase goveda koje se koriste u u Kini su uglavnom simentalska, zatim Å”arole, limuzin, Vagyu i angus. Ostale tri rase goveda, uključujući belgijsku plavu rasu goveda, pijedmont i žutu rasu goveda se retko koriste u govedarskoj proizvodnji. Republika Srbija u budućnosti mora da brzo i efikasno obezbedi adekvatne količine najkvalitetnijeg mesa. Jedan od načina da se poveća prinos i kvalitet mesa je ukrÅ”tanje goveda domaće Å”arene rase nižih proizvodnih osobina sa francuskim tovnim rasama goveda. Govedarska proizvodnja u EU je prilagođena ukusu potroÅ”ača. Meso mora da ima svetlo crvenu boju, podjednako pristnim masnim tkivom i sa izraženim senzornim karakteristikama kao Å”to su mekoća, sočnost, ukus i aroms. Rezultati o kvalitetu mesa junadi meleza F1 generacije (domaća Å”arena rasa sa francuskim tovnim rasama Å”arole i limuzin) ukazuju da se industrijskim ukrÅ”tanjem mogu poboljÅ”ati tovne, klanične i organoleptičke osobine mesa
